You know that thing where you’ve got online friends, and you sometimes wonder, “How will I know when I’ve lost someone? How will I ever know what happened to them?” I experienced this last year, and it was just as awful as you’d imagine. Harv would go offline for long periods for mental health reasons, so I’d come to expect it, but not for months at a time. I kept messaging him periodically, but before I knew it it had been almost a year. Then one day I just got a feeling.
I ended up reaching out to pretty much everyone I could find that he’d been in contact with. Eventually I got word — Harv was gone. Exactly a year ago, from that date. How fucked up is that?
We still don’t really know what happened to him. I know he wasn’t on good terms with his family (he and I spent a lot of time bonding over religious trauma, and his obit misgendered + deadnamed him) and I can’t imagine he was happy to see them at the end of things, as the obit claimed. I wish I could have been there. I never got to know him as well as I would have liked, and it hurts that we only got to run parallel for a little while.
I wanted to put together a little something for him — something that actually shows his soul, instead of the feminine photo they picked for him.
I loved the worldbuilding he made for his OC story. The angels, the agents, the culture, the vibes. The story was a vessel for such pain, such grief. Such anger. I won’t claim that I understood what he was getting at half the time, but I sure as hell felt it. So here’s a testament to our mutual enjoyment of that world.

First episode of SYH has been remastered!!! This mostly consists of redoing the linework to have more consistent width throughout, plus a few anatomical/lighting corrections. Only took me [REDACTED] years to figure out how I want to do linework, but here we are lmao

A collection of AU doodles and random concepts for SYH:
X-men AU. Kortallen is a mutant hiding out in Canada, making money as a brawler (taking Wolverine's place), and Damascus is a mutant with telepathy who stumbles across Kortallen and they end up travelling together.
2. Damascus as a dragon. His name would be Eironchard, but the Sanctuary would call him "General." Very stoic and reserved, doesn't like when humans get near the young ones, but is intensely curious about the new punk-dressing caretaker that Sinead hired.
3. Damascus is a regular dude not working for the Sanctuary, but stumbles across an itty bitty baby dragon hiding out in his barn during a snowstorm. Naturally this is his son now, and he starts to discover his latent telepathy. Rohan doesn't even realize he's broadcasting his thoughts at that age. Then Kortallen shows up in his incognito human form and demands to be given care of Rohan, and when Damascus refuses, he insists on at least doing a welfare check once a week.
4. Random dragon design that'll probably end up in the comic. Zaiyerain is Atyeurn's cousin of some sort. Only has one wing due to Knighthood.
