We visited this big ticket restaurant during the government’s  innovative Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

Trendy bar and restaurant in this vibrant part of The West End of London. 

As with most restaurants on Valentine’s Day, it’s a difficult balancing act between quality of food/service and price.  On this basis the restaurant probably got it wrong on this occasion. The club lounge at The Eastern Mangroves is a very large comfortable seating space in this excellent hotel.

Coffee Tea and biscuits are available in the daytime, we were ably served by Joice. The evening canapés were served by the friendly Jane and Joseph, quantaties were substantial, varied and tasty.

Trendy pizza restaurant situated in a buzzy alleyway, just off New Bond Street.

Some interesting starter dishes to complement the predominantly pizza based main courses. (recommended the pork belly bites as a starter)

A bit on the pricey side for pizza, around £40 pp for 2 courses and a beer, inc VAT and service but the service and menu make up for that.

The last time we stayed at the Shangri-La Al Husn, some 3 years ago, we ate here on our first night.  I remembered it as an very enjoyable night out, great service, superb food, we had the fish mixed platter.

Very friendly and accommodating restaurant across the road from the ever popular somewhat ‘arrogant’ establishment.

Breakfast is superb, I would recommend the Albion Benedict muffin. Our waitress Simiorina was both attentive and efficient. All the staff are friendly and you can tell that the restaurant operates smoothly like a well oiled machine.

I start my review by mentioning that my wife ran a catering business in London, until recently retiring.

Disappointing dinner at this smartly decorated Italian restaurant.

The very, very noisy chef in the kitchen made the experience somewhat nerve wracking and having waited way too long for our main course, almost 40 minutes, the pasta turned out to be so ‘Al dente’ it had to be sent back.

Busy themed buffet restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

We visited on the night of the Levant buffet. Interestingly freshly cooked pasta was also available! Quality of food was good but dishes were somewhat bland. Saying that, the buffet ‘style and variety’ fits the bill for families etc.

The highlight for us was the ice cream machine!

Indonesian based street food, served in trendy surroundings. Service was excellent and food was tasty. Recommended the Pad Thai and Nasi Goreng.
