Undertaking of the Soul

Can you measure beauty with a rod? Can grander be compartmentalized? Or is it all really apart of the same experience? When we see beauty we are not so much as seeing individual experiences. But actually tapping into an eternal realm of God.

Small surprises await to be found. Quiet trilliums speak nothing but beauty. A lone morel dances among fallen leaves. Nature openly pours it's beauty. We are fortunate enough to witness it's endless love.

            It’s all a dance isn’t it? Caught in the beauty of the music, swaying our bodies to the desires swirling inside. All the thoughts, problems, questions, and worries become steps in a divine ballet. The deepest things we fear never come to pass; through it all we are always still moving. The dance never ceases. Nor does the ballroom ever grow quiet, because a composer, a great choreographer, is moving deep inside all of us. 

Like dust, we long to be stirred.

We are designed for change. The human body is constantly falling apart and rebuilding itself. Becoming something new every moment. As if life is forcing us to progress. If our bodies are going somewhere, what does that mean for the soul which animates them? What if the purpose of the human is the journey? And the purpose of life is discovery? It’s almost as if we were made for it.

I am reminded through it all, Love exists, it breaths, it lives. Love hasn't tasted death. Love knows no opposites. Love is an eternal well. Abundant waters. A consuming flame. Love is the root of All. The mightiest tree. The eternal truth. We laugh, scream, jump, weep, await, argue, converse, leap, write, whisper, and hope- just to Love.
