Summary: It was his first time celebrating her birthday and Prompto was in over his head.

Notes: Feel like I need to give some fair warning that this is a Prompto x OC fic since I know non-reader insert/pairings with OCs are hit and miss with some people. 

It was written as a companion piece to a RP I’ve been working on but you don’t really need context. Both OCs mentioned are sisters of Gladio and Iris and really that’s the only preamble you need.

Prompto anticipated a grandiose event but Merry’s 18th birthday was more glitzy than he expected.

Birthday celebrations for the young lords and ladies of Lucis were different than they were for the common folk. There were attendants outside the mansion, opening car doors for the guests.

Summary: Noctis reminisces while packing up his apartment. He leaves Insomnia tomorrow and rather than packing he’s thinking of what he’s going to leave behind. 

Notes: Similarly to the previous, this is a Noctis x OC fic. Some preamble for context since this is a companion piece to an unpublished roleplay: Flora’s the same age as Noct and they’ve known each other since they were children. Somewhere around middle school they started seeing each other and got serious towards the end of high school. Naturally, this means his arranged marriage to Luna per the treaty isn’t exactly good news…

It was going to be his last night in the apartment. His last night in the city as an unmarried man.

And it wasn’t his girlfriend he was going to marry.

Luna had sent Umbra with the notebook. She expressed her hopes and aspirations for the peace treaty, how happy she was that she’d see Noct again and expressed her condolences. The announcement had torn Noctis’ relationship with Flora asunder.

Nothing could repair it. After all, neither party had an option.
