KnochenschÃļnheit ist eine kÃŧnstlerische Arbeit, die sich mit der EssstÃļrung Bulimie auseinandersetzt. Aus neurowissenschaftlicher Recherche und dem persÃļnlichen Befinden eines betroffenen Menschen entsteht eine Videoinstallation. Die Arbeit besteht aus aus verschiedenen, raumgreifenden Elementen aus Stoffbändern, Karton und Stoff, auf die ein Videoclip projiziert wird. Die Form der einzelnen Elemente leitet sich von medizinischen Bildern der Haut, Knochen und der Gehirnstruktur ab.
KnochenschÃļnheit is an artistic work that deals with the eating disorder bulimia. A video installation was developed on the basis of neuroscientific research and the specific condition of an affected person. The installation consists of diverse spatial elements made out of cloth ribbons, cardboard, and fabric, upon which a short film is projected. The forms of the individual elements are derived from medical imagery of skin, bones, and the structure of the brain.
