ART

I called this “Every rose has its thorn”. Inspired by a little story I had in my head. A man goes on a walk through a deeply wooded forest one day. He finds himself walking towards a cliff. Curious to see what’s over it he continues to walk towards it. Soon he see’s the most beautiful woman at the edge of the cliff. White dress, long flowing locks and pale skin. A figure to DIE for. But her face is unseen. He walks towards her and she disappears. Confused he goes home but finds he can’t get her out of his head. The next day he returns and sees her again. He calls out to her as he approaches but she doesn’t acknowledge him and once again disappears just in arms reach. Soon he finds himself obsessed even as he makes love to his own wife he imagines this woman. He returns every day for the same outcome. One day, he and his wife get in a fight about this obsession and he leaves her. Hopping bar to bar from woman to woman trying to soothe his ache for this mysterious woman. He returns to the forest every night and approaches the cliff every night. Same result. Except one day it changed. He sees her again same as any other visit. He smiles a smile of relief almost afraid she wouldn’t be there. But this time as he approaches he can touch her. And as he does her pale skin he loved so much changes to a strange blue and he notices how cold she is. He looks up at her face and sees this. Before he could scream the woman grabs him and takes him off the cliff with her. When his wife finds out she blames herself but struggling with the thought that he was infatuated with some other woman. And so she spends the rest of her days on the cliff hoping her unfaithful man will come back to her....

Back when I had an obsession with painting and chickens. Gonna redraw this again soon. A year later.
