i might create a discord, so that we can chat about anything, whether it’s michael, writing, really anything!

i am also open to any questions or anything. just message me or send an ask.

but, i do have a few of rules that people have to follow:

1) everyone has to be at least either 18+ or 21+ as i am a woman in my twenties (26 to be exact) and feel more comfortable with people who are adults.

2) there will be no tolerance of racism, colorism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia or anything discriminatory towards anyone. we already deal with enough in the real world, so don’t bring that energy here.

3) respect people’s opinions. we are not always going to agree on everything, and that is completely fine. however, do not insult or disrespect anyone who has a different perspective of things just because you disagree with them.

he snaps many pictures of you, each one making his poems about you come to life. even as the sun shined bright behind you, your beauty managed to blind it better. you posed many times, yet the candid ones did favor you better, michael caught you laughing and giggling whenever he could. he loves your smile, he can’t count on his fingers or toes, how many times he’s written about your smile. his heart spins around you, hoping to cradle you softly in his warmth, just like his scarf.

michael continues to smile and laugh with you as you run to the snowman. “should i give it a kiss?” you yell, michael laughs and shakes his head, pretending to be jealous, “thought i was the only one you kissed, mama.” you smile and shrug, michael takes one more picture of you, your hand around the snowman as you give a peace sign just like michael.

you go over to michael, standing beside him and wrap your arms around his waist. michael leans closer to you and shows you the pictures, you smile at them and kiss his cheek, “perfect, you could become a photographer.” michael smiles and looks at you, “nah.” he shakes his head, you nod as the two of you brush your noses together. “yes.” you smile with him and peck his lips. “my perfect photographer.” you rasp out, michael looks back at the picture of you, mid-laughing, your head slightly back as you rest your hand on your stomach. his perfect girl.

I really feel for Black women who've been made to feel undesirable, because that feeling doesn't come out of nowhere. It's reinforced by colorism, anti-Blackness, and the way society often treats Black women. But I don't think it's fair to project those messages onto Michael himself.

The narrative that Michael "preferred white women" gets repeated a lot online, but there's never been evidence that he said he wasn't attracted to Black women. People often confuse who he was publicly linked to with his actual preferences, when the reality is that we know very little about his private dating life.

I honestly think Michael would've hated the idea that Black women felt they could never have a chance because of something people assumed about him. He spent his life talking about equality and pushing back against racism. We can't know who he would've been attracted to on an individual level, but there's no reason to assume he excluded Black women.

the only videos i don’t recall him having a black woman as the leading lady were smooth criminal (there was a dark skinned black woman in the video, but she wasn’t the lead, sadly because i thought she was beautiful), dirty diana (it was rumors that the woman was tatiana thumbtzen, but it turns out that it was lisa dean), and you are not alone (lisa marie was in the video)

i never believed the concept that michael didn’t like black women. i will say that while he did come from a colorstruck family *coughs* joe, i never heard of him bashing black women or make colorist remarks about darker skinned women.
