Ask Agent Darckhart

Sorry about my extensive absence. Mr. Stark somehow managed to piss off three different alien races at once, and all SHIELD agents were required to run interference. I've spent the past few months living with purple ape-like creatures that give new meaning to "spider monkey". (cue shudder)

It's past ten-thirty here, so I'm gonna finish my episode of Criminal Minds and head to bed. I know it said I'm going on hiatus (see - Professor X on the AAA main blog), but my flight doesn't leave until seven, I believe. Please please please, give me something to do tomorrow while I wait. You can ask me questions on here, or on my Professor X blog. I don't care which.

On a happier note, I will steal my friends' phones (dem dat has internetz) and try and answer your asks some time. It may be for only an hour, but whatever. I'll still be on. :)

I'm gonna start with the SHIELD agents...

Director Fury - unlike a lot of officials, he sticks his neck out and puts himself in harm's way. I think at one time he had a family, but he lost them, so he feels like he has nothing to lose. He obviously cares a lot for the Avengers, so maybe they're his family now?

Agent Coulson - He seems serious a lot of the time, and states things in kind of a dry, emotionless manner, so he was probably the target of pranks and teasing when he was younger. He also seems a bit childish. Then again, don't we all?

Agent Hill - she handles the Avengers and the SHIELD base pretty well. She most likely was raised by a single parent and was the eldest sibling, so she's used to looking after things and having a lot of responsibility.(*coughTonycough*)

Stark - he pretends to be an asshole so no one will get close to him. He actually cares a lot about people, and often jokes around to ease tensions and make people more comfortable, but if you confront him about it, he'll blow you off. From what I can understand, his parents didn't spend a lot of time with him, so he craves acceptance and affection, but hides this behind his asshole-y exterior.

Captain Rogers - he was a runt for most of his life (not including when he was a 'Capsicle') so he'll always root for the underdog (unless they're evil *coughLokicough*). He has a strong sense of righteousness and acts more innocent than he really is, often leading people to underestimate him, which he uses to his advantage.

Dr. Banner - everyone walks on eggshells around him, leading to become very irritated. He hides it well behind his calm and somewhat disjointed exterior, leading some to believe he's strange and nearly inflappable. He's not afraid of his 'other guy', but more afraid of what the 'other guy' will do. His protectiveness of those who treat him normally (Stark) manifests itself more in the Hulk than Banner, but it's there all the same. He cares less about a person's accomplishments and their attitudes and more about who they truly are.

Black Widow - part of the reason she makes a good spy/actress is because she feels whatever she's acting somewhere within her, and completely shuts her emotions off when she's done. She acts cold and uncaring towards most people because she still feels a little insecure and is afraid they won't accept her.

Hawkeye - the most telling thing about him is that, instead of mastering a gun (like Natasha), he decided to master the bow and arrow, a weapon that takes a lot more time to master. This, to me, means that he chose the bow to help him master something else, most likely a temper. His penchant for sitting in high places reveals that he spent a lot of time alone when he was younger and is still not truly comfortable around people. He is incredibly smart and capable of reading people, so he probably read a lot when he was younger and watched people from wherever he perched.

Thor - he was raised believing he could do no wrong, that wherever he went, people would bow down and worship. His ego= MASSIVE. Whereas most people, including his friends, shunned his little 'brother', he tried to include him in everything. He cares a lot for Loki, and his betrayal hurt Thor a lot. He is surprised by Midgardians' resilience and their creativity, and is constantly amused by what they have created.

Loki - He was raised as a prince, though shunned by everyone for his mischief, then found out that everything he had been told was a lie, and that all his attempts to garner his 'father's' affection had been in vain. Wallowing in that fact, he completely missed the fact that, despite all the people that surrounded him, Thor had chosen him as his favorite. By the time his realization of this fact came, it was too late and he had almost irrepairably destroyed his brother's trust, but not his love. I believe he is willing to try and fix the damage he has done.
