-> Right off the bat, this is a fictional couple, neither one of them exist! Stella is an original character made a few years back. This is just for shits and giggles honestly haha
Introduction & Backstory
Captain America aka Steven Grant Rogers met Stephen Strange’s daughter, Estella Romano (Strange) less than a few months after being defrosted from that giant ice block.
They met in the middle of NYC after being accidentally knocking into one another. Little did Steve they know he was her hero that day and she was his visa versa.
It was an insane amount of respect and some kind of care the moment they met.
The pair would bump into each other a few more times before and after the events of The Battle Of New York, having battling chemistry!
Time past as The Avengers/Young Avengers would officially meet The Strange Siblings after an turn of events.
Later on, she moved into Avengers Tower with her older brothers and the romance between them began to grow. Battling with their feelings towards one another and the teammates, afraid to be in a relationship.
Until they were locked The Tower’s elevator having no other choice but to reveal those feelings. Starting to date, trying to keep it secret from the team and away from public opinion for a while.
But they failed at that!
Currently they are still together despite the ups and downs of their lives.
Being named one of plenty, Mom & Dad sets of the group—Literally an old married couple!

Lol imagine Steve’s very pregnant wife is sitting with the Avengers while they’re having a meeting (she’s about to pop any day now and Steve is so worried she’ll go into labor when she’s alone) and she starts crying and they’re all doting on her and Steve stops leading the meeting like, “Doll what’s wrong??” And she’s like, “Who allowed you to be this pretty???” And the rest of the Avengers would just burst out in laughter as Steve turns red😂
⬆️ I can totally imagine Steve blushing and smiling like this when she calls him pretty🥰

Summary: one faithful night at Avengers Tower leads to a few friendly conversations 😉

—
6pm on a Thursday night, that’s when it started.
Nothing bad.
Just a little chilly evening.
Stella sat in the medbay, correction, she was standing in the medbay alone with her belly out and an ultrasound machine wired upright as she swirled the wand around her round bump.
Almost 9 months.
It didn’t feel real.
Her and Steve agreed on two kids being enough.
Bradley and Kendall.
Perfect boys.
One in college and the other in elementary school.
Yes, they always imagine themselves with a big family, but with so many kids within Avengers Tower, along with their friends, two was enough.
They teased about having a daughter over the years, even joked or imagined the lovely idea, while snapping the other out of the idea.
Until, of course, a few romantic nights later, Stella found out they might be expecting and when Steve asked, if they should keep it or not…after a long couple of hours
Well.
We can already tell what the next step was.
Cut to almost 9 months later, Stella was in her 3rd trimester, doing a self sonogram of the baby when—
“There you are, honey.” Said Steve, as he stepped into the room. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere.”
“Well, here I am, goodbye now.” Stella replied blowing him a kiss as she swirl the wand against her belly some more.
“No, no, no, your not getting rid of me that easily. What are you doing?”
“Isn’t it obvious?”
He rolled his eyes, “I mean, why are you in here and not getting ready for dinner yet?”
Stella’s eyes were trained on the ultrasound machine’s screen as one hand was moving the mouse forward to get a better view of the world inside her womb.
“Double checking if everything is alright.” Stella remarked, briefly looking at his direction.
“Honey…” He began. “We’ve been over this, everything is fine. You’re okay and so is our growing family. Dr. Cho did a check up on you this week.”
“I know, I know..just, I feel like something is off..besides, Dr. Cho ain’t exactly skilled in OBGYN or General.” She recalled as she whined, “Maybe we should’ve gotten Bruce or somebody else to do it.”
“Again, we’ve been over this. Bruce is busy, and your father isn’t equipped for it. And well, uh, Thiago, is not comfortable being his sister’s doctor. So Dr. Helen Cho was the best choice.”
“I know…”
“Besides, I don’t think it’s right for you to be your primary care doctor for this matter either.”
Stella slumped knowing he had a point.
She hates when Steve has a good point and able to make sense of her situation, when she gets way too concerned or unsure about things.
And to think, he used to be the nervous one.
She remembers when he used to ask so many questions, read articles online, and even read those old school books on ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting’.
Only for Steve to very quickly realize that every pregnancy is different and you can never be certain what you’re going into.
And he was right about that.
From their friends, like Rochelle’s twin pregnancy to Stella’s very own.
“Now, mind telling me what’s really going on. Cause I know you’re never this quiet.” Steve says putting the wand down and handing her a baby wipe to remove the gel off her belly. He continues, “Something is wrong when you’re too quiet.”
As Stella wiped off the gel, she hesitates to say it, as she knew it wasn’t something that she needed to say out loud exactly.
Since he obviously knew about their history together, and yet she wondered if he was thinking the same thing.
Stella shifted her gaze before slowly explaining her thoughts. She told Steve how worried she felt lately about the weeks leading up to birth of their 3rd child.
Because due to past events, something always happens.
With Bradley?
He was a few days overdue.
They had a birth plan, only for him to be born through a c-section, as he wasn’t in the correct position and his size was slightly on the larger side.
He also came on a hot summer morning.
With Kendall?
He was two weeks early.
Which is common, cause many babies don’t always reach 40 weeks and are born a tad earlier than that. But it was the way he was brought into this world.
In the middle of a civil war between their friends and family.
Of course, Stella felt a tad guilty and nervous about how this one would go.
Steve listened as he sighed and took his wife’s hands within his hands.
He understood where she was coming from.
He had those feelings too, he just didn’t always vocalize it as often as he should.
However, it was why he was a tad more protective and cautious of his wife this time around. Not because he was scared that she’ll break or get sick but just worried that she’ll hide behind a smile all day.
Every time she said she felt sick, insecure and or upset, he tried to make time to help her feel better.
“Sweetheart, I won’t lie, you do have a good point.” He said softly giving her hands a little squeeze, “Our kids tend to enter this world in their own interesting ways. But Dr. Cho does her monthly check ups every time she’s here and she says that we’re doing everything right.”
“But what if something happens…” She began, a slight pout on her lips.
“Like what?”
“I don’t know…another civil war, Tony and the boyd makes another murder bot..aliens have their yearly attack..or we have to attend a special event..and then boom! I’m in labor!”
He cracked a soft smile, “First off, Tony learned his lesson, I don’t know about his and Bruce’s sons, they end up making something one of these days.” He hummed, “And secondly, every time you were in labor, you weren’t alone.”
It was true.
For Bradley, she had Steve physically and Thiago in spirit.
For Kendall, she had Thiago, Rochelle, Bruce, Natasha, Rick, Tony, Pepper and even Thor showed up with gifts for the young one days later.
The whole gang showed up for that one.
Once Steve saw her chuckle, and crack a soft smile, he relaxed a bit.
“You see? We got a whole bunch of people here. If anything, we should be worried, if we didn’t have any.” Steve said leaning forward to press a soft awaited kiss onto her cheek. “Come on, they’re waiting for us.”
She turned off the ultrasound machine as she inhaled sharply, breathing deeply as she closed her eyes.
Steve stopped in his tracks seeing the discomfort displayed on her face and rubbed her shoulder, wrapping an arm around her.
“You alright?” He asked in a soft tone.
She sighed as her shoulders rolled down a bit and nodded, “Yeah, Braxton Hicks..I had one this morning while at a meeting..”
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“You were working out with Natasha and Rochelle..”
“Right, right.”
He waited for it to pass before leading her out the door gently.
Once they arrived in the dinning room, that was basically connected to the kitchen, Liane, Scott, Thiago, Bucky, Ethan and Cassie were there already starting to eat.
Bucky claimed that Sam was out with Tony and Bruce working on some new wings in the lab, while they tinkered on new equipment.
Some of their friends and relatives were out tonight, meanwhile others were somewhere within The Tower enjoying themselves.
They greeted the pair as everyone dug in.
—
As the evening progressed, some friends joined the table then returned back to their respective floors within The Tower, while others left to tuck themselves in for the night.
Thiago had a long reading session with Scott, before heading to The X-Manison together.
Ethan went to get some rest after helping his and Liane’s daughter, Bella, with homework.
Liane and Bucky remained with Steve and Stella to help tidy up while they chatted.
On the midst of a long evening, on the far along side of the building, stood a sniper watching The Avengers Tower, waiting for the next steps to call it in.
Stella was drying dishes mid laugh, “Okay, that’s not how it happened!”
“Really? So you did overuse the self tanner where you came out toasted instead of sun kissed?” Liane teased chuckling.
“Say the girl who uses self tanning cream at the beginning of every spring.”
“What? I have to make sure that I look perfect by June.”
“Pff, Steve can’t tan right, he looked like a carrot if he does.” Bucky joked snickering, as his friend send him a glare.
“The name is Captain America, not Captain Puerto Rico, Buck.” Steve remarked smiling.
“Still. Even if I can get a decent tan better than all of you guys combine.”
“We’ll see how that goes this year.”
“Don’t sweat it, Steve, Stella married you for your face, not your color.” Liane added chuckling.
“And his ass.” Stella whispered laughing.
“I married Ethan for all his ass-sets too, girl.”
“Nah, you married him more than that.”
“Touché.”
The blonde girl, Liane, winked, as Stella giggled.
“Are we just meat to you guys?” Bucky asked in mock offensive tone.
“No, clearly Sam finds every part of you attractive.” Liane sass him as she grinned. “Honestly, I don’t quite see it.”
“Your lucky your pretty and got fire powers, you know that?”
Steve shook his head and smirked, “Alright, alright, no more playground taunting for the night. If anything, Sam and Ethan finds you both irresistible.”
“You’re just jealous you’re not the only cure blonde here.” Liane says smiling as she wiped off another plate.
Stella chuckled as she rubbed her belly feeling a few kicks and along with another Braxton hick. She inhaled sofly as she pushed back it, as it passed shortly after.
“You alright, Stella Bella?” Liane asked softly.
“Yeah, just getting Braxton Hicks..this is the 3rd one this week.” Stella explained casually.
“Are those like small period cramps?”
“Sorta..some people say it’s like passing a kidney stone, similar to period cramps.”
Liane held back a smirk as she joked, “So that means Ethan has gotten to experience period cramps?”
Bucky covered his face and rolled his eyes, “Remind me how we managed to let her be friends with everyone again?”
Steve patted his back chuckling, “Let it go, Buck. According to you, Tony is worse.”
“Tony annoying, Liane is considered charming.”
Suddenly, the sound of popping hit a few ears.
Pop, pop, pop!
Along with heavy footsteps from a distance.
“Jarvis?” Steve asked looking up at the ceiling in hopes the AI answered him.
“Please tell me it’s just Magneto coming over to visit his grandchildren…” Stella murmured steadily.
Liane shook her head, “Nope..he would’ve called me or Ethan. Actually no, Charles calls, Erik just shows up tells us he’s coming and appears unannounced …”
“Ladies…” Bucky scolded them.
The doors to the elevator slid open as in walked Rumlow and a two goons.
Zola’s men.
5 people in general.
Brock Rumlow smiled seeing the picture in front of him, as his eyes turned to Bucky and Steve.
Steve stood in front of his wife, as Bucky stood between Stella and Liane.
“What happened, Cap? Not happy to see me? I thought we were pals.” Rumlow spoke looking at him and then the others.
“I thought exposure to the booming took you out.” Steve questioned.
“Wasn’t it Wanda who threw him up into the air…?” Liane recalled.
“Funny how you people forget the fact that remains of Hydra. Cut off one head, and two more grows back.” Rumlow says smiling. “Congratulations, by the way.”
“What do you want?” Bucky asked him.
“Harsh, Bucky. We go way back, I assume you’ll be nicer after teaming up with the heroes.”
“Define your definition of nice.”
“Look. I’ll cut straight to the chase, as to why we’re here. The kids.”
Stella wrap an arm around her bump as she stepped back pressing the button underneath the kitchen counter to silent alert the others in the tower they got unwanted company.
“Over my dead body.” Bucky snarled.
“Buck.” Steve began turning his attention to Rumlow. “It’s not gonna happen. You’re not taking any of my children away again.”
“3rd time’s a charm, Cap. We had Bradley hostage but The Winter Soldier rescued him and Kendall got lucky. But for your unborn baby, now that could be good use for Hydra. Especially if we get back our old friends.” Rumlow explained pointing his hands towards Liane. “Like Fire Girl over here.”
“I’m never gonna go back there.” Liane stated as her eyes turned a blazing flash of purple. “Besides, Stella got magic, she is protected.”
Stella gave a brief look to her husband.
Yes, she has magic, a sorceress, as she casted a spell over my jewelry to keep her safe. However, pregnancy tends to dampen her powers and keep her more vulnerable than ever.

Pairings: Mia x Nikolai, Ethan x Liane, Jeremy x Cole
Extra Characters: May Parker, The Twins (Darlene & Margot), Alexander, Joshua, Bella
— idk where I am going with this but stick with me haha
Summary: Sometimes finding old stuff in the winter bring back memories among other stuff
—
Fighter-Town, Maine, there things were oftentimes bearable in the sense, but always a bit magical, so it reminded the folks who lived there for hope.
One winter afternoon in Maine, within the cozy apartment of Amelia and Nikolai, stood doing some reorganizing.
Yes, she could’ve done it any other day, but for whatever reason she had some time on her hands to do so.
Nikolai, Jeremy and Ethan were out with most of the kids today.
Joshua and Bella were at the library studying.
So that left her with just the twins, Margot and Darlene.
And—
“Mia where do I put this?!”
“You seriously need to ask?!”
Right.
With Liane and Cole.
Cole had closed his shop today to head over for some hot chocolate and Liane wanted to get some work done without any interruptions.
So they came to Amelia’s home, of all places.
Not that she was complaining about the extra help.
Cole was bouncing Margot in his arms as he used his magic to organize the clutter around the room.
Liane decided to carry around a few boxes and being careful, not to trip over Darlene’s toys.
Last she did that, Darlene screamed as her pink stack of block, that she made into a castle, was knocked over.
Cole smirked at Liane’s panic at trying to hush the 2 year old girl and fix the mess.
“And how did you raise Bella again?” Cole remarked as Margot coo at the magic coming from her uncle’s fingers.
“With the grace and composure of a fairy.” Liane replied gesturing to herself. “Now, shut up, you got the calmer twin.”
“Yeah, sure. But really, how?”
“Well, Bella did not require too much really, she didnt fuss like other kids. She was only vocal when she needed actual help.”
“Huh. You sure, you were raising a child?”
Amalia, who was carrying the box of old books, walked in to answer, “Technically they are both calm. But Dar is a bit more picky about her things.”
“How are they supposed to be related to you?” Cole joked, “I mean I know, how, they are. But you’re not picky.”
“But their father is. I tried once to tailor Nikolai’s old hat, and he was picky about the feather. He wanted it green to match his tie, and not black.”
“Well the man was a former pirate once upon a time.” Liane added. “Well, actually he was a bandit, who was friends with a pirate.”
Rochelle’s wife, Princess Michelle, had former pirate training, when she befriended Nikolai and Jeremy.
That’s the only reason Liane knows about this side of the tale.
“I married the actual pirate so, I won.” Cole said with a cheeky grin as Margot looked up at him smiling.
“Me know!” Margot replied, giggling.
“I know! Crazy, right? Uncle Cole is fill of surprises.”
“Ooo! Swow me!”
Cole chuckled, using his fingers to magically whip up a small flower and place it in Margot’s hands.
Since the day she was born, Margot was more likely to crawl and nuzzle into Cole’s arms instead of everyone’s else’s. Darlene was similar in that fashion, but she enjoyed tea parties with her auntie Rochelle or Liane more.
Then again, they are only 2 years old, so they can change preferences soon enough.
Amelia sat down on the couch, as the box was placed a few feet away Darlene, who was currently trying to recover the mess of her block castle.
Liane was helping Darlene, as she set another box down next to the coffee table. Darlene sat in Liane’s lap, as they picked out which dolls to play with for the castle party.
The blonde woman glance at box and asked, “What are in these anyway?” Liane reached over to open the lids and cocked her head to the side, “I just see old dresses, framed paintings and…is that fine china?! Whose did this belong to?”
“My mother.” Amelia replied with a softer tone as she explained, “When things washed over from our land to the town..and some of it was my mother’s stuff…”
“Ooh…” Liane responded giving her a sympathetic smile. “I’m sorry, Mia. I heard what happened when she…” She paused covering Darlene’s ears and said, “Died.”
—
Years ago, as the story was told, May passed away one beautiful morning, when Amelia brought Nikolai to meet her mother. They were newly engaged.
But during a brief battle, The Evil King, Alexander’s guards found the cottage in means to ruin the couple’s happy day, as an arrow accidentally struck May in the chest.
That morning was spent looking for a quick cure but there was no luck.
As May had one request to see their wedding day…
So Nikolai and Amelia had a small yet intimate makeshift wedding in the garden of May’s home. Underneath a flower arch, the two wed as May’s last sight was the couple exchanging their vows.
The older woman died mere minutes after.
But she went out with a smile on her face.
—
Cole glanced over and blinked, “How did you know?”
“I’m not blind to events, oh magical man.” Liane answered mocking him. “Plus I’m a fairy..we know things.”
“Right. Fairy thing. Yet, you knock over things when you fly.”
“I—! Only when it’s windy!”
“And when it’s not?”
“…I get pollen in my eye?”
“Seriously?”
“I worked a long shift last night, cut me some slack on the comeback!”
“At least you fly better than you drive…”
“I outta—!”
“Guys!” Amelia tried to stop and huffed, slumping back into the couch. “Relax! It’s not a big deal, but seriously Lia…you’re not the best at driving.”
“I drive perfectly!” Liane defended herself and smiled, as Darlene looked up at her auntie. “It’s true. You know I drive well. I even got you a car seat.”
“Purpwe!” Darlene corrected nodding confidently.
“Yea! A purple car seat with cup holders,”
The twins talked often, one more than the other, as they tended to not say the words correctly yet.
But they were getting there.
Their mother was incredibly proud of them for it.
Margot, who was put down by Cole, toddled over to the box a few feet away from her sister. She used her chubby little hands as she lifted the lid to reveal books.
Children’s books, note books and other novelty items.
Mostly brown, olive greens, along with different colors in the mix.
Toys were stuffed inside and pillows too.
It was a tiny mess but you can see what’s inside.
She pulled out a stuffed elephant and coo at it cocking her head to the side.
“Mine?” She asked.
Amelia looked over at her daughter, surprised she moved around the room within a matter of seconds, to open the box with ease.
She cocked her head to the side in confusion and wonder.
Similar to her daughter.
That’s when it started to make sense what Margot was holding.
It was Amelia’s old stuffed white elephant with a bow tie from when she was a child.
“No, baby, that’s mama’s,” Amelia informed with a chuckle. “You like it?”
“Yes!” Margot exclaimed in a toothy grin hugging the elephant close.
“You want it?”
“Yes pwease!”
That cause Darlene to snap her head up from her own toys as she pushed herself out of Liane’s arms and toddled over to the box herself.
She looked around, shoving items that didn’t caught her attention yet, as her eye landed on the stuffed ballerina.
Well it was a bunny with a tutu.
She grabbed it and marveled at the toys, toddler over to show her auntie before going back to see what else she can find.
And she found something alright…

Margot = affectionate, drawn to magic, physically affectionate

2:35am.
That was the moment Steve creaked into the bedroom after removing his suit in the bathroom and taking a quick shower. He usually would’ve changed in their shared bedroom, but he wanted his wife to try and rest knowing she had a shift today in the morning.
Especially since her body was working a full time shift itself with carrying their unborn baby and provide nutrition to them too. Honestly he couldn’t be more grateful yet worried for her nowadays.
Stella had reached her second trimester and doing much better. She was less nauseous, looking a little less pale and her energy levels slowly returning. Cravings were starting to rise more, which meant he would sometimes find her awake snacking in the kitchen or watching something on her phone because her sleep schedule was shifted off course.
He knew she could handle herself and this wasn’t their first time around the process, but he couldn’t help it. This is his family he’s talking about and he has every right to feel this way.
He went to check on Jamie before heading down the hall, as he paused to find the now 14 year old on his tablet awake at 2 in the damn morning. He oftentimes had a policy in his home that his childern can stay up the latest 1:00am on a weekend.
But on a school night?
Awake at almost 3 in the morning?
Absolutely not. Jamie was still transiting to later hours for homework and such, but he wanted him to get some sleep.
His son jolted looking up to see his father standing at the doorframe with his arms crossed and a firm annoyed expression.
Jamie tried to come up with an excuse for this but he had nothing good to tell him. Steve just told him to shut it off and sleep, as he received a small ‘yes, dad’ as he headed out to the hallway once more.
This leads him back to his bedroom as he creaked back inside, trying not to make too much noise, catching wind of the TV being on as he grabbed the remote control to turn it off.
He hummed shaking off his slippers and—
“Your back early?”
He paused, pressing forward to climbing into bed as he heard the voice. He glanced up seeing his wife sitting upright as baby hairs stuck up without a second thought. She squinted to look at him.
It helped that the door was cracked open enough for light to shine through the room.
He internally cursed himself then answered in a low tone, “Did I wake you?”
She shook her head, subconsciously placing a hand on her bump, as she replied, “I was already awake when the team walked into The Compound. I heard Sam’s voice from down the hall.”
He sighed, lowering his chin in a small pout and shook his head. He thought they were quieter than they actually were. He finished climbing into his size and his eyes darted to her bump, before meeting her gaze once more.
“If I didn’t wake up, then did Pumpkin do something?” Steve asked placing his hand on her bump carefully, knowing there were flutters and possible defined kicks coming sooner than later.
He didn’t hesitate to use nicknames when it came to his unborn child, even when they’re out of the womb, as he used a combination of nicknames during Stella’s first pregnancy.
He called Jamie everything under the sun that felt right. From anything to Sweetheart to Bug to Bubba and to even Squirt. Their second unborn wasn’t any different.
A little lady is what they are thinking of. But then again a boy could happen. Either way they will be loved.
“Kendall started moving a little.” Stella started watching his movement and yawned, “But mainly, it was you guys.”
He gave her a soft half smile, giving her tummy a little squeeze, as he replied, “I apologize for that. We got out of Lagos as soon as possible after evacuation. It was…it went…sideways.”
“I saw the headlines, it didn't look good.”
He raised a brow having thought she would get the reports later on. He knew he tended to update her every few hours but it was a crazy afternoon, so he didn’t have time.
She also had comms and panels open to receive feedback, even live streams from the location, if possible.
But he was curious.
“Oh. Who showed you?” Steve asked, cocking his head to the side slightly. “Sam said that the time zones don’t exactly match up.”
She inhaled rubbing her forehead, feeling a few flutters and answered, “Uh, Thiago. H-he called me earlier tonight and said that he saw the reports on his end. He didn’t know if it was reckless or a controlled situation.”
Steve sighed looking down at the mention of his brother in law. He knew that Thiago was a good man and rather clever, but perhaps a tad protective with his own agenda.
But he was also critical of him. Thiago respected Steve and he did the same, yet Thiago wasn’t the biggest fan of Steve. He views things differently and more often than not, finds a way to give a comment or two about an eventful moment.
“Of course, Thiago…” He uttered, removing his hand from the bump and checked the clock. “You should know things went fine in the end…we tried our best to salvage the situation.”
“I know. But I wanna hear it from you.” Stella replied, placing a hand on his shoulder, knowing he was probably still reeling from the incident.
“Honey, it’s fine…we don’t have to talk about it now. It’s getting late and I don’t want to worry you with…”
“Steve...”
“Ella, not now…”
“At least don’t take all the suffering…heavens know, I won’t sleep now.”
“Elle..come we both need rest…”
She sighs as she rough lay down and tossed the covers over her shoulder, sending him a look. He sighed himself, not knowing if it was the hormones talking or herself by those actions.
He watched her meeting her gaze with a deadpan expression, “Don’t look at me like that.”
“Like what? It’s dark, you can’t see my face.” She uttered, almost defensive and furrow her brows.
“The doors open, I can literally see your face. Honey, look, it was bad…Rumlow pulled a move and shook me…Wanda tried to contain the explosion but couldn’t. That’s all.”
“..what did he say or do?”
“He mentioned our son..and most importantly, he decided to talk about Bucky..it threw me off my game…”
Her gaze darkened hearing that and muttered, “Son of…”
“Yeah…” Steve murmured, rubbing his tired eyes.
“Babe, I’m so sorry…you guys were so close and then…we should’ve been there.”
“No, no. I couldn’t even imagine what Rumlow and his team would’ve done if you were there. He already messed with our son once…you made the right choice to stay behind. Both of you.”
She gave him a tired yet brief smile, “Bed?”
“Yes please..” He replied, returning the similar smile before shutting his eyes.
A peaceful silence stretched between them — the kind that usually meant the end of a long day.
Then Stella spoke, voice casual and soft as if it were an afterthought, “Oh. Thiago says he’s coming in a few days.”
Steve’s eyes shut wide open and blinked, snapping his gaze at her, “What.”
She yawned, pulling the blanket higher, “Something about checking up on me. And Jamie. And...you.”
His expression was priceless.
—~~—
A few days passed, Jamie Rogers was yawning in class waiting for their teacher, Mr. Davis, to tell them they could leave. He leaned against the table, as his backpack carried not just his notebooks, pencils and pen but an empty lunch box.
He scrolled on his phone, an ear bud in his ear, watching Ned and Peter chatting. Ned was talking about his Lego Star Wars as Peter mentioned how they need to make new Tie Fighters to mix and match.
Jamie shook his head telling Ned how it’s the same model, just different size and color. Ned and Peter looked up hearing him, looking a mixture of amused and intrigued.
Ever since Jamie started high school, as a freshman, he was seen as two different things. Fresh meat coming through, like all the other kids, who wanted to fit in, and figure out their routine.
If not, those who were smart enough to connect the dots together, they knew he was Captain America’s son. It wasn’t like they lived in a world where every hero, such the Avengers, kept their identity a secret.
So by extension, that meant anyone who was associated with them, people would catch onto the story and ask questions about their experiences. And because Jamie lives with not just a hero to the nation, but a whole set of heroes, he gets asked a thing or two.
Some people would assume things about him too, whether he likes it or not. They sometimes think he’s great at gymnastics and other sports they play in the gym, but Jamie wasn’t just that.
He enjoyed Art and English class more than any other class.
He remembered when he met Ned and Peter, they were curious after a teacher called him Mr. Rogers. Then said something Avengers related. Once Jamie awkwardly told them proof as to who he was, letting the initial shock and surprise wash over them, Peter tried to treat him as normal as he could.
It took Ned longer to do so.
When Jamie was younger, he loved talking about the fact that he has a dad who saves the day and how he saw fights up close. Especially when he and Peter were in elementary school together, 6th grade hit, they lost touch as they were transferred to different schools.
Only in the past few short months, they met again. But when Jamie met Peter once more, Peter already had Ned and MJ as friends. Even though MJ just sat next to them when she was bored or had no idea where to sit, giving her two cents to their conversations.
MJ didn’t care if Jamie was the son of a hero or not. She just found him to be a nice dude who liked to draw like her.
Sometimes a blonde girl named Gwen Stacy would pass them in the hallway and waved at them, as Jamie had history class with her. Liz always hung out with her friends in a corner, clearly part of the popular crowd, as one of the girls tried to drag Jamie into their group once.
Then there was—
“Hey, can I borrow your eraser real quick?”
Delilah Drake.
Or as most people called her—Dee.
But there were also others who called her Lila.
Jamie looked up hearing her voice and smiled at her.
Her naturally curly brunette hair had streaks of blue that caught the light from the window, and her navy blue headphones hung loosely around her neck.
Delilah Drake was in his Art, English and Spanish. Kind, chill, musically inclined in Jamie’s opinion, clever and always dressed to impress.
Not once you would ever see Delilah without her nails done, a nude lip and her hoop earrings on. Unless she had to remove them or something.
She was pretty.
Jamie nods, picking up his eraser and handing it to her. He gave her a quick half smile as she flashed him an expression of gratitude and quickly erased what she wrote in her notebook in order to write down the homework on the board.
“Thanks.” She said, looking between the board and her notebook.
Jamie hummed, “N-no, problem. You do realize you can take a picture of it right?”
“I'd rather write it down. I saved way too many pics on my phone this week, and it’ll just get lost.”
“Oh…it was just a suggestion?”
“Oh, I know, just paper is better and Mr. Davis will think I’m just using my phone again in class.”
“Right, right…”
Usually Jamie had a comeback or something, but Delilah was new to him and he doesn’t really talk to her very often. She has only been in his classes for 3 months or so for the spring semester.
What is he supposed to say to her?
She’s got this easy confidence that makes Jamie just kind of short-circuit.
Days like this made him forget that his family’s name came with headlines and others did not.
—~~—
By the time Jamie got out of class and was standing outside the school building, he spotted a car parked outside. A white BMW parked just outside of the parking lot as a tall lean yet built man leaned against it.
He was wearing jeans and a collared shirt covered by a beige colored jacket. His glasses were on and his short dark brown curls tame as they fell to frame his face.
He recognized that tired yet amused expression anywhere.
“Tio?” He called out while jogging over to him and smiled.
Thiago looked down at him, returning the smile, “Hey, nephew.”
“Uh. ¿De dónde se te ocurrió recogerme en la escuela?”
“¿Oh? ¿Así es? With that attitude, I’ll leave you here and pick you up by 10pm.”
Jamie thought about it realizing that was a playful threat and instead exclaimed with a grin, “Tio!”
“Nephew!” Thiago exclaimed echoing his sarcastic response and chuckled pulling him into a quick embrace.
“I missed you.”
“That’s more like it, hop in.”
The two hopped into the car, as Thiago asked how school had been. In response, Jamie told him about his experience at school, his friends, a rumored dude swinging around the streets and then disappeared. He even mentioned a girl.
Thiago just chuckled, rolling his eyes fondly as he drove and gave his two cents on each topic.

Chapter 28 — Golden
This year so far hasn’t been anything short of eventful for Avengers Compund—more specifically the Rogers and their found family—as the characters within the area expanded to new highs.
Steve and Natasha went on to train their new recruits being Sam, Vision and Wanda—Rhodey was sometimes absent from the training sessions, due to his actual job across the country—from missions, files and other activities were done to whip everyone into shape.
Jamie was considered a part of the new recruits as he trained with Sam and Natasha, if his dad was busy working with Wanda or Vision.
Sometimes Jamie would be found helping Wanda adjust to life as a hero, especially after the loss of Pietro, in which they found comfort watching movies together.
The person who didn’t think they would find a friend within Wanda Maximoff was Stella. But when you're stuffed into a couch for hours rewatching Full House episodes for hours, how can you not?
When it came to nostalgic shows and movies she enjoyed over the years, Stella was a sucker for storytelling, even if it was cheesy or repetitive.
With Jamie, Stella was oftentimes stuck watching cartoons and action movies, or playing with a Nerf gun across The Compound. In which, Natasha and Sam joined them at some point, resulting in a playful fight in the living room, as Steve would watch from afar or tap in once someone got tired.
But with Wanda? Stella felt like she had another opportunity to create a friendship. She didn’t have to play the role of nurse, heroine or do several fun activities. It was similar to her dynamic with Addy, expect different stories to share, from sitcoms to rom-coms, to cooking in the kitchen and playfully complaining about siblings.
Wanda, like Stella, was a sibling. Her with Pietro, and her with Thiago. Being younger sisters to protective, sarcastic, oftentimes annoyed yet selective older brothers meant you got a story or two to tell.
In response and respect to the fact, it kept the memory alive.
Television became their escape and established things for them to do.
—~~—
It’s why when she found out she was expecting again, she waited for Wanda wasn’t have a charming moment with Vision, to tell her the news. Wanda squealed and smiled, pulling her into a hug as Stella chuckled in relief, hugging her back.
Her and Steve were trying for a while now, so when the news broke the couple couldn’t be more grateful. Sam and Natasha teased them for how it happened as Steve playfully told them off. Vision, who only researched the subject and knew what he did, gave them a sweet congratulations.
Steve expected Jamie to make a big splash, in a bad way, about the news. Since Jamie was their only son. Their first baby, they put their time and energy into raising, as he assumed their son would become sour about the idea of a sibling.
That he would feel like they were replacing him or wanting to do this all again to satisfy a huge desire, and putting him into a position of responsibility for a little kid. When you're the only for so long, you eventually grow comfortable with the fact.
Yet to their surprise, which shouldn’t have been one to begin with, Jamie was pretty darn fond about the news. As a child, he asked once or twice for a little brother, because he saw his friends with siblings and he heard stories from family members about the idea. But he wasn’t too sure about sharing his things and what a new baby would bring to the table.
His friends told him such horror stories about having a baby brother or sister, so Jamie remembered coming home telling his mother he changed his mind about wanting one. Crying, screaming, dirty diapers and so many other things he was told.
His parents laughed and told him not to worry then, but don’t be surprised if it happened someday.
However once Jamie got older, yes he enjoyed his freedom of being an old child and his parents attention, but he wanted someone to talk to. Someone to watch movies with, play games and boss around with. Play the hero and save the day for them.
And when the news came, at the cusp of being a freshman in high school, that he would get a chance to be an older brother, he just grinned. Better late than never.
Jamie was getting the opportunity to be a teenager—such as sneak around, meet new friends, hang out with them and be a hero-in-training—while in school. Then having someone to share the experience with.
It also helps that his uncle Thiago silently noted Jamie’s progress on monthly updates, smirking at how fast the kid was growing.
He had a good idea about the fact that his family was expanding, even though he might not show much physical enthusiasm for the subject.
The past few months for Stella hadn’t been exactly smooth sailing. Despite her love and commitment to having another child. She forgot the cons that came along with it, mainly a few first trimester symptoms that made her feel utterly awful at times.
It wasn’t just her who forgot, but her husband who was reliving the moments with her on the bathroom floor as he comforted her and went out of his way to make her feel better afterwards. He thought his senses were considerably stronger, his wife’s nose was like a radar for smells.
One thing that Stella did enjoy after the first 14 weeks were over with, had to be that fact that she was physically showing more than when she carried Jamie. She wasn’t supposed to be surprised, many studies say that second pregnancies meant you’ll show earlier, and she wasn’t complaining one bit.
She remembered looking in the mirror the first time years ago when it happened and now it was just as beautiful.
She went as far as to send a weekly picture to her older brother Thiago, who lived on the other side of the world, with a few text messages added below. Despite the long distance and time difference between them, Thiago would take time out of his schedule to reply to her messages with a soft smile.
Ever since Stella fell pregnant, it was probably the hormones and energy imbalances, but she has been more active with communicating with her brother. It wasn’t that she didn’t call or text him, she did, more often than not she is the one sending messages to keep a text chain moving forward.
It’s just with Thiago’s travel and work, he was oftentimes out of reach, as he would spend his time studying or healing people where he chose to visit.
Nevertheless, her brother always knew or found out what was going on. He either heard someone, got an alert or had a six sense alarm about the situation.
Other times? This man was utterly clueless and dumbfounded by the whole story, stumbling over his words or stuttering to himself trying to wrap his head around the picture.
However it was Steve’s reaction when he saw her bump that made her burst into giggles. Steve strolled into the kitchen when she was baking with Wanda, having just finished an early morning workout with Sam, to stumble upon the sight.
He was in awe, surprise and disbelief.
Wanda could’ve sworn he tripped as she covered her mouth to bite back a fit of laughter.
—~~—
Tonight it was just Stella alone in the kitchen while on the phone with her brother, Thiago. He was currently in Nepal doing some research on healing techniques and business with a few patients.
Jamie was doing homework, or at least she assumed he was as she heard less textbooks shifting and more tv playing, so she could only check up on him later.
He was a freshman in high school with an iPhone and tablet in his room. He was either entertaining himself with YouTube videos or searching for the answers on Yahoo.
Maybe Jamie was even texting a friend or two for all she knew.
Currently Stella was dressed in a pair of leggings, an old t-shirt that Thiago claimed over FaceTime that she stole from him years ago and scandals. She was whipping up a cheese quesadilla, having made one for Jamie earlier today and decided to make one for herself too.
As for the rest of the gang? Steve, Wanda, Natasha and Sam were all on a mission in Lagos, Nigeria.
They were all there to track Rumlow and his team who had stolen a bioweapon from an Institute for Infectious Diseases. The goal was to recover the weapon and catch the mercenaries from using it.
Stella would’ve gone as well, but she was benched from field duty for obvious reasons.
The first few weeks of her pregnancy, she was able to do stuff on the field like scouting, and recon with the team. But ever since she started developing along Steve chose against it.
Thiago was mainly the one to back him up on the suggestion, the last thing he wanted was for his family to get hurt. He almost lost his sister once, he wasn’t affording it to happen again.
For all the things her brother and husband might disagree on, especially with Thiago’s dislike of Steve, they both agreed on safety concerns.
For her, for Jamie and any upcoming family members.
Instead Stella was relocated to researcher, and medical standby, especially if they needed someone to make a few calls to Search & Rescue.
In the midst of their phone call Thiago spoke up once again, “Oh! I’m heading over there in a few days.”
Stella stopped what she was doing and quickly whipped her head around as she shouted, “What?!”
“Oh, don’t act so surprised! It was bound to happen eventually. And if I remember correctly, you used to show up at my place unannounced. At least I’m giving a 4 day notice.”
“It’s silly when the little sister does it, not when the big brother does it!”
“And this is an issue, how?”
“Beacuse the team is heading back from a mission and need to recover.”
“Did you forget we’re both medically trained? My point still stands, I’m heading over there.”
She hummed, taking a breath, then said, “Is there an exact reason why you're coming here to see me?”
“And to see my nephew obviously.” Thiago corrected her over the phone as he moved around his hotel room. “Your husband is clearly under a lot of strain right now, and who better than me to check up on you for a few days? Besides, I can work remotely. Have you not seen the news?”
“What news?”
“Estella! Seriously?”
He paused to send her a link about updates on the Avengers mission in Lagos. The good, bad and ugly. She winced seeing it and sighed.
“Yeah that’s why. I promise I’ll be in and out.” Thiago continued rolling his eyes at his baby sister’s reaction. “You know for someone whose new job is research, you skipped a step. But I’ll cut you some slack cause I love you.”
Stella just hummed and bit down on her quesadilla reading the messages he sent her. She smiled before replying, “You've been planning this trip for a while, haven’t you?”
He smirked, chuckling dryly and shrugged, “Ehh, don’t be so surprised. The plan was to go over there when you were 8 months pregnant, and it still is. But a little trip for a few days wouldn’t hurt, right?”
“If you can withstand your eye rolls from my husband.”
“No promises, hermana.”
They kept chatting until Thiago got ready to head to bed due to the time zone.

The Accidental Third (That Was Always Meant to Be) 🦋 | Marvel Blurb
Pairing: Stevella
Siblings mentioned: Bucky, Rebecca, Thiago and Leo
Children mentioned: Bradley & Kendall
—
Summary: How the 3rd Rogers came to be
—
When Steve and Stella were just dating, they used to talk about kids like they were stars they’d pluck out of the sky someday. Steve—lonely, only-child Steve—always said four. Maybe three, but definitely more than one. He used to watch Bucky wrangle his three younger siblings, and even if it looked like chaos, it looked like home.
He remembered how little Rebecca used to look at him like he was a second big brother (and how she giggled about her “crush” on scrawny Steve Rogers, back when his shirts hung too loose and his ears stuck out).
That kind of sibling bond? He wanted his own kids to have it.
Stella, on the other hand, already knew what it was like. The youngest of three, raised with brothers Thiego and Leonardo, plus a storm of cousins who treated her like the baby sister and the eldest daughter at once—she knew the joy and the mess of having a full family. She loved it. But she also knew the work of it.
So she made her stance clear: “Two. That’s my max. A third if we’ve really, really lost our minds.”
Steve whined, but in the way that made her laugh and roll her eyes. Truth was, as long as it was with her, he’d take whatever number of kids she gave him.
—~~—
Years later, they got their “max.”
First Kendall, who they were sure was going to be a girl (Steve already had “Della” written down), but Stella insisted on the name Kendall, certain it would suit either way. When their son arrived, loud and bright and so Steve-coded in every way, they knew he was the perfect first.
Then Bradley, born in a whole different season of their lives. His name came from a lazy summer afternoon when Stella was rewatching Top Gun.
Steve thought it was ridiculous, but when she called the bump “Bradley” one too many times, the name stuck. This second boy was just as rowdy, just as punch-first-ask-later as his brother, but with a flair for drama and the arts that made everyone laugh.
Bucky, watching the boys wrestle one day, just shook his head. “Thing One and Thing Two,” he said. “Mini Steve’s. God help us all.”
And that was it. Two boys with big smiles, clever minds, and louder personalities. Steve was content. Stella was at peace. They had their perfect little family.
She even teased him once, during a pillow fight with the boys, that maybe it was time he went and got “snipped.”
Steve shot her a look while taking a flying hit from Kendall’s pillow, but she just laughed harder.
—~~—
And then came Valentine’s Day.
They’d gone out to dinner, dressed up and glowing like they were still twenty. At the table next to them sat a young couple with a baby boy and a baby girl—siblings, sweet and small, a matching set. Stella thought it was adorable. Steve thought it was dangerous, the way his chest ached watching them.
He teased her about “one more.” She teased back that he was crazy. They both swore up and down they were done.
Then the hotel happened. Then the champagne. Then a night that left them both breathless and giddy.
Weeks later, Stella nearly fainted at work. She came home with trembling hands and test results that made her stare at the wall before she could even look at him.
“Steve…” she started, quiet.
His heart froze, then raced. When she told him, he blinked once, twice, caught somewhere between shock and a joy he didn’t want to say out loud in case it wasn’t what she wanted.
“If you don’t want it,” he said carefully, “we’ll go to the doctor. We don’t have to do this again. Not if you’re not ready.”
Stella bit her lip, tears welling. She looked at him the way she always did when she’d already made up her mind but wanted him to be the one to say it.
“Babe…”
He smirked. Soft. Hopeful. “Honey…”
And then she laughed through her tears, whispering, “If you want to, of course—”
That was all it took. He kissed her like he was twenty again, like he’d just gotten his miracle, because he had. Because they both knew the truth—
This third baby wasn’t an accident. She was inevitable.

Ahh I told ya I had more in store. And thank you ChatGPT for putting my ideas in perspective 😅

Thiago’s Journey to Protect Marianna / Marvel Blurb
Pairing: Stevella
Established Dynamics: Thiago and Stella, Thiago and Marianna
Summary: Like the title says! Enjoy the fluff and layers behind Thiago’s character
~~~
~~~~~~~
It’s a chilly evening, and the Strange-Rogers family is gathered in the living room for a quiet family night. Steve and Estella are on the couch, Estella's head resting on Steve’s shoulder as they share a moment. Marianna, full of energy, is running around the room, giggling and trying to play games with everyone. Thiago, sitting in his usual chair, is watching her with a quiet sense of amusement, though his calm demeanor doesn’t quite hide the warmth in his eyes whenever she runs by.
Thiago is still his usual, logical self—slightly reserved, shy, and a bit serious, especially when it comes to things that matter. But today, there's something different about him. His gaze follows Marianna, who’s now trying to climb into his lap. When she gets close, she stops and looks up at him with those big brown eyes, tilting her head as if to ask for something.
“Tio, ride?” Marianna asks sweetly, her voice full of trust and hope.
Thiago hesitates for a moment—he’s not one for indulging in playful requests like his sister Estella might—but when he looks at Marianna’s face, that sweet, innocent smile, it’s like something softens inside him. A small chuckle escapes him as he leans forward and scoops her up without another thought.
“Alright, princess.” He lifts her high into the air, watching her squeal with joy as she wraps her little arms around his neck. “Hold on tight!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Quiet Reflection: 🍿
As he holds Marianna, spinning her around in a playful circle, Thiago’s thoughts start to drift. The chaos of the moment—the laughter, the squeals—doesn’t escape his analytical mind, but he starts reflecting on how much Marianna has changed him in such a short time.
A couple of years ago, he would have been too serious for this. Too logical, too focused on other things. He used to be the big brother, always looking out for Estella and trying to keep things in check when she made rash decisions or acted impulsively (and honestly, he wasn’t always the biggest fan of Steve). Estella, with her sweetness and sometimes silly nature, had always been the one who wore her heart on her sleeve, while Thiago stayed the more grounded, responsible one. It’s probably why he had his doubts about Steve when Estella fell for him.
“You sure about him?” Thiago had asked more than once, never really hiding his concern. He thought Steve’s carefree, “American hero” vibe was too distant from what Estella needed. It wasn’t until Marianna was born that Thiago began to soften. Seeing the way Steve cared for his daughter, how he was gentle and affectionate with her, made Thiago realize something he hadn't before: Steve made Estella happy.
In those early days, Thiago was still wary, but it was hard to ignore how good of a father Steve was. Slowly, but surely, his guard came down, and he started to see Steve not just as the man who had “stolen his sister’s heart” but as a genuine, caring individual. But the real change came when Marianna was born—Thiago’s world began to shift completely.
The Protective Uncle: 🧸
As Thiago holds his niece, he looks down at her little face, beaming with joy. His heart swells with a mixture of pride and love he hadn’t expected to feel. "Protect her at all costs." The thought hits him with absolute certainty. He had never promised anyone anything so fervently in his life, but with Marianna, it was different.
This tiny girl—his princess—was his responsibility now, too. He was determined to be her protector, just as he had always been Estella’s. Like it’s always been with his nephews as well.
But with Marianna, it felt more urgent, more instinctive. She was more tiny than her brothers, Kendall and Bradley, were when they were born.
Maybe it was because she was so much more vulnerable, so pure in her innocence. The thought of her getting hurt or facing hardship made his chest tighten with a protective intensity he hadn’t known he could feel.
~~~~~~~~~~
Thiago’s Quiet Promise ✨
Later that evening, after the family has settled in, and Estella and Steve are enjoying some quiet time together, Thiago finds a moment alone with Marianna in the living room. She’s snuggled up against him, watching the flickering light of the TV. She’s content, her small hand resting on his knee as she leans into him, her head nestled against his side.
Thiago glances down at her, unable to hide the softness in his expression. He’s deep in thought, as always, but now there’s a certain tenderness in his eyes. He’s always been the “serious” one, the one who kept his emotions in check, but Marianna brought out a different side of him. A side he hadn’t expected.
“Tio?” Marianna asks quietly, her voice so small and trusting. She looks up at him, her face filled with innocent curiosity.
“Yes, princess?” Thiago answers softly, running his fingers through her hair.
Marianna doesn’t reply with words. Instead, she raises her little arms, and Thiago knows exactly what she wants. A snuggle. He chuckles softly, lifting her up into his lap, where she curls up like a small kitten, seeking comfort and security in the quiet space between them.
“I’m always here, you know.” Thiago says, his voice low and serious. It’s more to himself than to her, but he knows she can sense the weight of his words.
He pulls her close, her little head resting on his chest as she relaxes in his arms. Thiago’s heart softens further. He silently makes a vow in his mind: No one is going to hurt her. I’ll always protect her.
Even though he doesn’t always show it outwardly, this moment—this quiet promise he makes to himself—deepens his commitment to being the kind of uncle Marianna deserves. Even if it means changing himself a little—becoming more tender, more playful, more willing to show her that side of himself—he would do whatever it took.

Ships: Stevella, BlackHill and BrightBlaze (yes I gave Liane x Ethan another ship name 😌)
—
Days past since the battle with finding Loki’s staff, among other things. Coming in contact with Wanda and Pietro was one of those things. The team decided to celebrate, have some fun. But there was Stella, still dressed in a lab coat, holding a iPad and looking over Clint’s scans as the man was healing up.
As Dr. Cho and Bruce put it, Clint’s body was creating tissue without realizing.
Never mind once minded parties, hell she loved them. But after the encounter a few days ago prior with Loki, and then the one with Wanda and Pietro? Not just that, seeing teammates bruised and hit pretty hard…it wasn’t odd for her to want and stay monitoring the match instead.
Maybe it was an old habit she picked up from her years in the medical field. Who knows?
“You do know that tablet isn’t gonna suddenly spout legs and disappear into the walls, right?” Said a voice that belongs to her boyfriend fiancé.
She turned around to see Steve Rogers standing there, leaning against the doorway, and replied, “You do know that Clint was hurt less than a few days ago, right?”
He chuckled and pushed himself off the wall, walking over to her as he nods, “How could I forget, I was there. But honey, he’s healing. He’s okay…the question is, are you?”
She shrugged in response and let out a shutter breath, “I guess..I just wish that the team would be more transparent and careful out there..I can heal up wounds on the fly, or blast away an incoming opponent. But the real injuries, those take time to heal and recover from…I should know…I wish we were safer..that the world would be safer..”
That’s when Steve sighed, placing his hand on his fiancé shoulders. If one thing Steve learned over the years is how layered and flexible Stella can be when it comes to her emotions. One minute she is all shits and giggles, being chaotic or dramatic. One minute she is being stern, emotional and frustrated. But moments like this, he could see the light and care behind her eyes.
Stella hides that behind a smile and a joke, however when you catch these moments, you can see how deeply she feels about the team. She hates seeing them upset or even in pain, wanting to cast a protection spell if possible. But she knew that wasn’t the way.
After a moment he speaks, “I think you are looking too closely into this topic tonight. I understand where your concern came from and I feel the same way, but we just have to be more careful next time. Have each other’s backs.”
“I just hope that want all of us to catch a break soon. I don’t want the next time one of us are out there to be our last…” Stella responded, implying something deeper.
He understood what it meant and simply nodding, pulling her into a light embrace as she wrapped her arms around his waist, sighing deeply. As always, the team will do better, and do it together.
For now? Party time!
—
The next time Steve saw his fiancé, she was descending down the stairs in a purple dress with her up laid on her shoulder. She never looked prettier. Hell, he might steal her away from the guests tonight to have a moment alone.
When it came to parties, Stella was always one for drinks and dancing, dragging others to the dance floor. Who can blame her? But ever since the accident years earlier that was a post-party event, where she was dressed in the finest outfit she owned turned into a fatal mistake causing her skin to be torn, a few broken bones, and bleeding from her arms.
Her body never fully recovered after the attack. She never felt as pretty and as dazzling in her surroundings again.
But tonight was her only chance to drop her shoulders, throw on a dress, and no need to worry about her losses. Yeah, sure, her skin was not as smooth or even clear from damage over the years—but she felt alright.
It also helped that her soon-to-be husband and her friends, supported her all the way. So far she felt absolutely loved and appreciated, even beautiful in her own right.
She found herself at the bar chatting with Maria Hill, Tony, Rhodey and Thor downing her drink. Rhodey was telling a War Machine story but it was kinda lame the way he said it, but they all looked at him in amusement.
“So no Pepper? Where’s Nat?” Rhodey asked.
Maria blushed next to Stella and answered, “Uhh, Nat is around here somewhere I think..”
Stella whispered in her ear as she teased, “You’re buttons are a little undone.”
“Shhh!”
“Heheh!”
Stella smirked, “Where about the ladies, gentlemen?”
“Uh, Potts got a company to run. She got busy.” Tony answered sipping his drink as Thor told them how Jane is about to win a prize soon.
It resulted in a ‘My girlfriend is better than your girlfriend’ match. Rhodey, Maria and Stella shared knowing looks.
“Yeah, yeah, they must be busy. Cause they hate seeing you guys getting together.” Maria teased before faking a cough, “Testosterone!”
Rhodey and Stella snickered walking away together with the top agent, leaving Thor to add, “Jane’s better.”
“Hell yeah she is!” Screamed Melissa was across the room, randomly.
Stella found bouncing back over to the bar, grabbing herself some peanuts and dried cherries that they were serving. For whatever reason, she had a hard want for that specific snack tonight.
She chatted with Liane at the time, when she did. Stella noted how the blonde was trying to mandate her drinking for tonight, with a mix of snacks and drinks.
Or as Liane put it, “I don’t want to embarrass myself in front of Ethan!”
“Relax! If he hasn’t run away yet, then he won’t start now.” Stella replied munching on some strawberries that Liane handed her.
“Ugh! I know that, but I want to build a life together with him someday and with all the shit going on? I want to make myself as happy and healthy as possible…I want what you and Cap have.”
That’s when Stella smirked, “Say that again.”
“Oh shut up.” Liane replied teasingly.
She was downing a small handful when somebody came behind her, noting it was a brunette man with tattoos, tone arms, and wearing black pants to match his red button down. He held a glass of scotch in his hand.
“Hello ladies.” He greeted them with a smoking grin. “Ryan Bass.”
Stella and Liane greeted him in response in kind manner.
“Would you ladies like to come with me and take a ride over to the dance floor?” He asked them.
Liane shook her head, “Uh, no thanks.”
“Why? The infamous Liane Felton has two left feet?”
Stella spoke up, “No, because she be on the dance floor with her boyfriend.”
“I don’t see him.” He said with a smug expression, looking around.
“Turn around.” Said a voice that clearly belonged to Ethan. Ryan looked over his shoulder, seeing a good looking man that could play freaking Prince Charming and use enchant your own with a smirk.
Liane particularly made heart eyes at him, smiling as she looped her arm around his neck. Liane smiled, “Hi, sweetie! I missed you. This man was asking if I can dance with him.”
Ethan, who was always the sweetest man in the room, narrowed his eyes up and down to Ryan before saying, “No.” He looked at his beautiful Liane with a softer expression, “You’re dancing with me.”
With that, the couple left.
Ryan turned his gaze back to the other lady who stayed leaning against the bar, chewing on some peanuts and dried cherries, and said, “That leaves you with me. What’s your name, beautiful?”
“Estella.” Stella replied giving him her name, staying quiet.
“Ooh ‘Estella’, like the star?”
“Oh, look, someone did a google search.”
Ryan stepped closer, “What? Don’t like what you see?”
Stella sipped her drink and replied, “I’m into blondes. And you’re not my type.”
“Then who is?”
“He is!”
She pointed to the blonde man, dressed in a navy blue button shirt, black jeans and an almost sharp expression. He walked over, placing a hand on her hip, almost a possessive look in his eyes as he looked at Ryan, clearly not impressed by his own appearance.
A look that said ‘Step away before you make yourself feel bad.’
“Hey, honey, I been looking for you everywhere.” Steve said looking at his fiancé with a playful smile.
Stella rests her head on his shoulder and replies, “I’ve chatting with our friends, babe.”
“Well isn’t that a good thing. Speaking of our friends, I think we have some upstairs waiting for us.”
“Who?”
He whispers something in her ear with a smirk as she blushed. Steve turned back to Ryan in a polite voice, “Excuse us.”
Not a second later, he pulled his girl closer and led her upstairs away from the idiot, who clearly didn’t have a chance.

Stella returned downstairs to chat after 10 minutes, fixing her straps to the deep purple dress and wearing Steve’s brown jacket now. She promised Hill, she’d give it her later on if the night got chilly enough. She found herself chatting with Cassandra outside on the balcony.
She has always taken a liking to the young blonde girl and thought she such a shy darling. She also figured that parties weren’t her thing and decided to join her outside instead for a while.
Cassandra air out her feelings about tonight, her seeing visions in her dreams but didn’t say too much, not wanting to waste time worrying Stella. Or maybe being called weird, even crazy for the thought. Especially if it might not be true. As always, Stella reassured her that everything will be okay, and it would be nice if she joined them inside for the after party.
Stella squeezed her shoulder comfortably and walked away.
When Stella returned inside for the after party, she sat on the couch, her back resting against the armrest as Steve rubbed her knee gently. She gave the jacket over to Maria, suddenly feeling warm and a bit uncomfortable wearing it, meanwhile Maria happily took it. Everyone was chatting, sharing another round of drinks and snacks, playing cards or board games on the coffee table.
As Stella looked around at the found family, she couldn’t help but take a deep breather. Hell, she smiled!
Yes, she has been worried and stressed about the damage that has happened, to herself, to her teammates lately. And how she wished to get a better understanding of things. To have a safer environment to be honest.
To save the day and come home safer than before.
But looking around? As long as she had the right attitude and patience, the whole family close by, she knew everything will be—spoke too soon.
Within moments later of everyone trying to lift Thor’s hammer in a playful manner, a metal bot with a limping body and beating eyes appeared in front of everyone.
