Jax's ears twitches slightly, both with irritation and focus. "I dont need to be coddled and baby sat. I'm fine." His eyes dart toward her, but quickly look away again.

She fiddled with her plush hands nervously, she wasn’t an idiot by any means- she recognized his behavior, they’d all seen it before. “Then.. don’t. Think of it as purely selfish on your end.” She suddenly spoke. “It’s not help. If that’s what It takes for you to even remotely admit that something’s wrong.” She hesitantly moved a hand forward to lay on his shoulder, but decided against it as she let her arm lower back down. “I don’t think there’s ever going to be a right time to talk to you about this. But I want to at least try and do it, before it’s too late.”

It had been a couple years since their escape- 3 to be exact. Jax had woken, had to relearn all his motor functions, and even his own name. Felix.

Jax thought he'd like it, like having his identity but it felt wrong. So many years as Jax, your birth name feels like the new nickname.

He keeps it for now, "knowing" if he used Felix enough he'd have to get use to it. Just like he did for Jax. Jax was a purple rabbit, Felix was a human.

After achingly long years in physical training, Jax was back to himself. Even if "himself" meant creaky joints. He figures one way to return to true normalcy, one thing that made everyone want to rip their hair out and cry. School.

Jax enrolls, choosing anything he found interesting. It didn't matter what it was, as the diploma wasn't exactly his end goal. Human was.

Once the school year began, Jax pulled his clothes on and left. The air swooped against his buzzed hair, sending a chill down his spine. His hands pushed against his over sized sweater, and pulled up the hood before reaching the college grounds.

"God... I don't miss the cold." Jax mumbled to himself, arms hugging his sweater around his torso tight. The dark circles under his eyes gave way that his place didn't exactly have the best insulation.

“I personally thinks it’s.. so weird to see the place that was crowded not even 10 minutes ago, almost empty! Pretty- weird! Heh… right?” She stammered nervously. “I mean.. that’s what happens when people- go home. But you know-! It’s- still weird..! Like- I don’t know..” she gave up on what she was trying to say and instead looked back in front of her, slowing down so the other could walk beside her if he wanted to.
