Well, I can always use a man with combat skills. Alot of our newer men can barely tell one end of a sword from the other. I keep expecting to walk out to see them impaling each other in practice. Not sure i want to trust them to our combat missions yet.

If you are that shorthanded, why not reach out to the Two Rivers? Lord Tam would surely be willing to help. Not only is he on par with King al'Lan himself, but he taught Perrin’s Wolf Guard the basics in just a few months. I might be able to help as well, if @askelayne would be willing to allow me some time away.

I appreciate the offer, I had not considered that either. I will have to reach out to Lord Tam and ask his assistance then. I thought he had an aversion to the one power though?

He may dislike the One Power, but swordsmanship has nothing to do with that. Besides, one of the most useful tools any swordsman or archer can have is the Void, something that every Asha’man obviously is familiar with. If nothing else, he would come just to spend time with me, but I genuinely believe he would be willing anyhow. It will be interesting to see which of us is superior now that I am no longer handicapped…

Sounds like a rivalry between masters. If he agrees, I will have to set up a showing for the two of you. As I recall, there were not many who could match you with a blade.

Both King al”Lan and my father are superior swordsmen to me, at least in the modern styles. By the time I became… stable, I suppose is the correct word here, and regained my memories as Lews Therin I was already unable to utilize the majority of my stances and techniques. I look forward to teaching the original forms, those that Barid, Elan, and I created when war was young, to a new generation.

Well, perhaps I will make myself available to learn then. After all, how would it look if the leader of the tower fell behind his charges?

Oooh, @asklogainablar, if you need someone to teach stabbings I'm available. I did teach some wonderful things in thee White Tower, and in Aridhol, and in Cairhien. I'm much more qualified to teach stabbings than any of these louts
