There's a bright flash of purple and blue in the sky above Latveria and two figures fall from the light before it vanishes, at first bickering, their black and white hair tangled together, until they realize they're falling and start to work together, moving in unison to activate the glide wings built into their clothes, moving the air around them to better slow their descent and safely land, then immediately go back to bickering in the town square.
"I told you not to mess with the spirit portals!" The white haired one mags.
"And I told you to stay out of my business!" The dark haired one snaps back
Doom watched from the balcony of the castle, and when he saw the two teenagers bickering, he decided to intervene. He flew up and landed dramatically in the square. “Doom demands you two stop your bickering.” He said, activating a a laser and cutting the knot that keeps their hair ties up.
"Dude!" The dark haired one spins towards Doom. "You can't just cut people's hair without permission!"
"Oh, calm down, we can never get it untangled without cutting it anyways! See, this is why mom wanted us to try short hair, so you'd stop throwing a fit," the white haired girl rolls her eyes. "I'm sorry, sir, my twin has emotional instability, we're working on it. The fighting is an unfortunate side effect of the spirits that we host, Raava and Vaatu"
“I have never heard of these spirits.” Doom said giving the two children a look. “I take it this is not a full possession but rather a symbiotic relationship?”
The girls look at him like he has three heads, glancing towards eachogher briefly. "Yes, it is... I don't think there's a single person in the four nations that doesn't know about Raava and Vaatu... you know about the Avatar, right? About bending?" The white haired one asks.
The dark haired one looks around finally, taking in their surroundings for the first time. "Kai, this doesn't look like anywhere in the four nations... the architecture here isn't familiar at all... I don't think such a place even exists in the spirit world."
"Well where else could we possibly be, Aqua? There's only the 2 worlds, right? We went through a spirit portal, they only connect to the spirit world," the white haired girl pulls a flat, holographic screen from her pocket. The device offers no privacy but seems to function like a phone. "No service? We get service even in the spirit world, this is nuts..."
"Like great-whatever aunt Azula..." Aqua mumbles only to get tripped up by a rock that suddenly lifts from the ground.
"You have the same condition, Aqua, don't mock Azula," Kai sternly corrects her twin
“You are in the nation of Latveria, and stand before her sovereign ruler.” Doom announced. “Do not destroy the roads with your abilities.”
The rock goes exactly where it had been before as Aqua stands back up, dusting herself off, her eyes starting to glow blue as Kai pulls her into a headlock, grabbing her hands.
"Alright, so, never heard of Latveria before, we definitely aren't in either of the world's we're familiar with and my sister doesn't handle stress well, do you by chance have jasmine tea in this world? It's one of the few non medications that actually helps with her condition," Kai chuckles awkwardly.
"Let me go!" Aqua's voice echos with a more ethereal one as the glowing of her eyes gets brighter, completely consuming them.
"Soooo not happening right now, Aqua," Kai tries to adjust her grip on her sister to prevent movement. "I'm so sorry, this is a rather awkward question but... any chance you have platinum restraints? Bending, the abilities we have, requires movement"
Doom points a finger at them and a beam of light shoots out, enveloping Aqua in a green bubble of light, and restricting her movement. “Doom has such tea up in the castle. Come.” He said with a dramatic swish of his cloak as he marched up to the castle. Still keeping his finger pointed at Aqua.
Inhuman screams come from Aqua as she tries her absolute best to thrash around but can't. Kai tries to soothe her twin as best she can, but it's difficult when the avatar state kicks in.
"I'm so sorry, we've been fighting with her to take her medication back home to prevent moments like this but she hates the stuff... can't blame her, it smells horrible, I can't imagine the flavor. She is doing a ton better than when all this started, though, so at least she's making progress. I know all the ingredients to her medication and how to make it, if we can't calm her down I can always try to force it down her throat but I hate doing that," Kai sighs
