So I’m about to move, and as such i’ve packed up almost all of my sewing material. I still had my white microsuede and my silver-grey microsuede in my cloth cabinet, and I got struck with SUDDEN INSPIRATION to make two different characters. 

… then at about 1 oclock last night I switched gear completely and decided to turn it into THIS ASSHOLE. I didn’t have any access to my greens or apparel material, so… I cut up an old fleece pillow case and an old hoodie.

he’s still unfinished but i’m back on the work schedule so we’ll see about it later. I was gonna use the free weekend to finish making christmas presents, but I think I was a bit stir crazy from how busy everything’s been lately.

Hi, while I won’t say Mituna does not have a mental illness, as he is likely Bipolar as Sollux was,  his comic behavior is not majorly reflective of a mental illness. It is however reflective of a traumatic frontal lobe brain injury. please read up before you start throwing the A word around:

He is a parody of 4chan, but he is also a very real portrayal of frontal lobe brain damage and its effects on behavioral compulsions, right down to the filtration issues, improper sexual behavior, vulgarity, memory loss, coordination and language jumble. 

Mituna as a character has nothing to do with how other fans portray him, also. Both sides of the camp are often wrong. He is neither a nasty, vulgar shithead or a sweet baby. He’s a person disabled by a traumatic injury that prevents him from filtering his behavior, and it’s very accurate to real behavioral compulsions exhibited in very real people who have sadly undergone such an injury.

So yeah don’t throw that A word around so lightly. He has brain damage (mind, self-inflicted brain damage he sustained when… here comes those repeating patterns again, he sacrificed himself to save their session/his friends. Captors tend to do that a lot, huh?), if you actually read his dialog closely, you’ll see Latula was not kidding when she said there’s “more to him” than the nasty shit he says. There’s a lot of subtle cues in his dialog that reveal a lot more to him than just the sex puns and the garbled screaming.
