And peaks several times at epidemic peak points (1830s, 1850, 1880s), including its first peak in 1831/2, which corresponds with the first cholera epidemic in the UK. 

It also corresponds with the year William Brooke O’Shaughnessy discovered that a lot of people who were dying of cholera were severely lacking water and salts in their blood and urine. Dehydration was found to be a major cause of death in cholera patients. “Toast water” was suggested in the Lancet medical journal in 1832 as an initial treatment for cholera patients. 

Most of the recipes in household medicine guides I found suggest sweetening or flavouring the toast water with something if the patient could keep it down in order to cover the terrible taste.

A tiny little stinky trash man who (similarly to the lankster) suffers from not being the favorite child, got his brother murdered which did not help cause he actually liked his brother, shunned by a whole ass town, found a found family and then all them basically died 6 times, has been alone for like a good 100 years so that solitude did not help, lowkey a little crazy

Like, don’t get me wrong, Patton is a good parent, he’s just needs some therapy and like a universe change would be good for him, and so is Virgil

But in any sense I mean, all the kids will be traumatized one way or another

I just feel like Roman just doesn’t give a shit about the things all of the Virgil does, which isn’t a bad thing, he’s just not worried about his son being a soldier or a ruler or anything, he’s just like “Don’t be a dick, Umm, don’t eat things you find, and oh, I love you and I am proud of you.” Cause like his “dad” sucked balls so he just like, “I’ll just treat Babe like how I would’ve liked to be treated as a kid”
