Hey there!

Y’all, I’ve been so bad about updating this comic or even posting on this blog... It kind of amazes me when someone new follows, that it would attract new readers, or that any old ones might still be interested!

I want to be honest with all of you, and myself. This comic/ask blog was probably too much for me to take on. I didn’t understand exactly what I was getting into. I’m glad I started it, that I tried and got even this far, but while I like my plans for the story and would like to continue, there are several other things I’d rather focus on right now, like the original story I’m planning.

I’m just not as excited about AGS as I used to be, and from what I can tell, there aren’t many of you who are interested in seeing it continue. That might change if I were to get far enough for the plot to pick up, but for now? It’s probably best for me to officially set it aside.

If any of you are really interested, and if I feel like it, I may return to it someday. I'd likely end up polishing my ideas and restarting the comic. But I want it to be a project I can focus on, one I’m excited about.

Hey everyone! Goner’s birthday is this Friday. I can’t believe it’s almost been another year without an update...or a post of any kind... I don’t know how many people are still interested in this story—admittedly, I’m not as excited about it as I used to be, but I still want to tell it. For his birthday, I really want to update again.

I actually managed to draw half the next page back in April, but today, looking it over, I decided to scrap the other half. Meaning I just need to finish the digital part of the process, which is a lot easier in some ways. So it should be done by Friday, maybe earlier.

I don’t know why this page has been such a pain for me, but I’ll be so glad to be done with it, haha. It’s been hard to stay interested in the story when the parts I’m excited about seem so far off. I originally wanted to include as many asks as possible, but I’ve started to see how many of them I’ll have to leave out if I ever want to get to the meat of the plot.

Sorry for getting nowhere with your story due to difficulty drawing the next part which led to losing motivation to the point I sort of avoid thinking about working on it and have doubts about my abilities to finish and almost want to give up on it despite the fact that I love my plans for your story and I really want to tell it but I just don’t know how to get past these problems I’m facing??

((Hey so I figured I might occasionally have Goner answer some asks outside of the comic, if they’re not important to the story but I have a fun/interesting reply. Answers to these side asks will usually be almost canon in the sense that they’re in character and could actually happen, but are not actual events within the story unless I tag them #canon extra. If I’m just being a troll or making a shedpost out of it, and it’s OOC or otherwise contradicts canon, I will tag it #noncanon extra.))

I want to apologize for the lack of updates. I knew from the start that I wanted to make this comic at my own pace, and I know that tying myself to a schedule would harm both the quality of AGS and my enjoyment in making it. While it will remain schedule-free, I feel terrible about the slow progress. The prospect of reaching certain scenes makes me excited to continue, but I’ve been having a lot of trouble with this next page; I’m still stuck on the first panel.

It’s only a little more complicated than any of the previous pages, but I’ve tried three times to get it right, with some practice sketches in between. This is where perfectionism really becomes a flaw—it’s difficult for me to accept a drawing that I know I can make better, and I get stuck on all these details. I may have reached a point with this drawing where I can accept it being below par, just so I can move on—but some personal problems leave me with little to no motivation to work on this page regardless.

I’ve considered taking this scene in a different direction to make it easier on myself, but I like what I’ve planned out more than any alternative I’ve thought of.

Oh? I don’t know if that line, or a similar one, is also used in something else. Undertale is the only place I recall seeing it, so it’s not a reference to anything else.

Kid!Goner

I’ve been meaning to draw what he might look like in Momma CQ for a while now. I’m so happy with the results! I want to hug him. ;w;

He’d actually have to change quite a bit to work in MCQ. I think, rather than not physically existing, his kid self would just…have an extremely faint presence. He’s quiet and never really played with other kids growing up, so he doesn’t have much experience with social interaction. At school, he kind of just stays back and watches people, or does his own thing (mostly quiet activities like reading and drawing).

Most people don’t notice him, or they forget he’s in the room. If someone were to approach and talk to him, he’d have no idea what to do. He’d probably tense up, pull his hood down over his face, and wait for them to leave. If they looked away, he’d seize that chance to escape; he’s good at slipping away unnoticed. And hiding.

When he’s alone, he’s more comfortable being himself. And maybe “himself” is someone no one would expect. ;)

More random thoughts:

He has some sort of condition that causes his eye sockets to look this way? (I swear no one in MCQ is a normal, healthy kid. XD Eh, it’d be boring if everyone was “normal.”)

He tends to wear gray, maybe because it matches his eyes. Maybe he just likes gray?

He loves hoodies and is rarely seen not wearing one. Also, he prefers wearing clothes that are a little too big for him, or at least loose-fitting.

He is a smol bean.
