"A Sketchnote A Day"

It's my 9 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳

Last Fall I attended a free workshop called #MeditativeSketchnotes with Mike Rohde and Ben Norris.

I draw on the board too much.

I was asked to participate in our university's new Mission Academy - a group of faculty and administrators take with looking at issues critical to the Mission of the University of the Incarnate Word. This year we are talking about University Ethics and how it can be applied in our university, schools, departments, and courses. I was teamed up with four fantastic individuals (2 I have known for year and 2 that I met that day). I look forward to working with this "small group" to bring about "big things." During our brainstorming session, they let me be the note-taker.

Now, I will be the first to confess that I did pause the videos from time to time to catch up on a few things.

3. In math we learned more about subtraction.

Monster’s report for the day: “I forgot my jacket at recess but I ran around to keep warm. When I got home and took off my shoes, my socks were STINKY! Then I asked mom for some hot cocoa... but not because I was cold.”

Monster dsaid: “I gave three prayers today: one in our primary openinge exercises, one in my primary class, and also at the end of the day for our family prayer before bed.”

Today seemed like a short day… no teacher… no substitute… his class was split between a few other teachers. But he had GT and they played with pentominos on the iPad.

Didn’t he do a great job? ;)
