OOC--Before officially joining Melkor: How do you spend your time? What do you like doing the most and/or the least?
Humming to herself, Thuringwethil launched herself from the gloom of the Halls of Mandos by her Lord Nåmo's permission.  She was his highest servant, his First Maia, an honoured position, but one that she frequently bored of, wanting to visit the rest of Valinor instead of merely seeing the images the Lady VairÍ wove.  As a result, after she finished all her duties, she would often visit the Lady Yavanna and go to tend the gardens; she had always liked the thousands of plants that were kept, all vastly different with various uses.  Several times, she had stayed late, quietly singing to the younger olvar to help them grow, then taken meals at AulÍ's Halls, sitting with the Maiar that served Yavanna, and occasionally with AulÍ's apprentices.  Even then, among the friendly camaraderie, Mandos had left its mark on her, and she was almost always an outsider, left to linger on her own, disquiet quietly spreading in her heart.
Point of Thur's creation: what were her first thoughts?
Nameless, she exploded into existence where before there had only been the One. Â Her brethren were being born from the nothingness that was everything, spirits mingling and freely flowing, uninhibited. Â Time did not exist, nor any feasible concept of space, and Maiar and Valar and the One were all compressed together with no room, and far far apart, barely touching all at once. Â
A thought flooded her newly formed mind, and suddenly, she was filled with the urge to sing, and her fĂŤa sang, loud and clear and joyful in her creation. Â More and more voices joined the melody, beautiful and complex, high and low and varied. Â A new theme began soon, however, dark to the first's light, powerful and overwhelming; startled, her voice faltered before she joined it, singing the counter-theme, if only for a moment. Â Clearing her mind, she returned to the lighter, clear tune, but the dark tones would not leave her young thoughts...

((......Yes.....there really wasn't any other way it would've ended, not with a touchy subject like that aha orz~))
OOC--After the Tol-in-Gaurhoth episode: What are your fears? (I hope she doesn't kill me for asking this >_>;)
Thuringwethil blinked in surprise, her mind drawn back unwillingly to the fall of Tol-in-Gauroth, Draugluin's death and Mairon's surrender being played in her mind's eye. She had fled far to the north, knowing the pain that awaited her should her Master find her after the fiasco, nnot bothering to follow Mairon to Taur-nu-Fuin lest he strike at her. She had always been more loyal to Melkor than to him, and he would not look kindly on her presence, she knew.
She eyed the mortal, pulling her thoughts away from the past and beckoned. "I don't want everyone else to hear," she explained as the fool drew near. With no warning, her claws shot out and sank into the mortal's throat. "Did you honestly think I would tell you?" she sneered, watching as the body crumpled to the floor. Mortals, she thought. Too curious for their own good.

Sauron and the Wargs sketch <3
Various shenanigans
He snorted, amused. âDonât worry, my love, youâll have your revenge sooner or later. While you wait to take the kill, perhaps you ought to spread rumours of his numerous faults and follies, hmm? Surely the disquiet of the people will invoke the gods.â They exited the chamber and started down to the bottom of the tower, and Mairon mused thoughtfully over her question. âYes, that would be the only way, lest the mortals notice our presence again.â
His words made him recall that said mortals would likely still be prowling about, but no sooner had he said them than one of them ran right into him as they rounded the corner. He blinked in surprise, motionless for a split second, then clamped down on the instinctive reflex to rip out his throat and backed away to avoid contact with the man again. It would be so much easier to kill the wretch, he thought, gritting his teeth in irritation. But that would tell the rest of them without a doubt that there was an intruder. Thinking quickly, he reached out and grasped the mortalâs forehead in his hand, chanting a spell to confuse his memory. He would remember running into something, but not exactly what had happened. When Mairon withdrew his hand, the mortal slumped to the ground, unconscious. He kicked his forehead for good measure, to ensure there would be a nasty bump swelling when he awoke or his companions found him, then stepped over the wretch, extending his senses far down the stair to be prepared if any other rangers came running.
âYes, I have people already quietly spreading discontent at his rule. When their god arrives, he will find no opposition to his rule, darling,â she said, smirking slightly.âAnd indeed,â she responded, about to add more when the little mortal came careening around the corner. She froze in midstep, then moved aside, lest he try to go around the invisible wall that was Mairon and ran into her as well. Her worries were relieved however, once the mortal was on the ground, knocked out cold with a beautiful bruise spreading across his young face.Feeling the violence still bubbling under the surface in Maironâs fĂŤa, she took his arm and tugged him to follow her so he would not stand in one place and seethe about the idiocy of Men; she was in no mood for it and they were on a set schedule.
They reached the bottom quickly, with no further interruptions, save for hiding behind protrusions in the walls or ornate pillars whenever the patrolling rangers came too close. Pulling off anything that the water could damage, like the ancient staff from the previous vault, and her potions, she set them aside in a hidden little niche before laying a spell over the entire thing to prevent it from being noticed by mortal eyes. Then she returned to the underground lake, entering it. The water was frigid, she realized, hissing in distaste as they waded further in, and not liking the idea of being entirely covered in the cold liquid. Maiar did not need air to survive underwaterâOssĂŤ and Uinen were very good examples of that, acting like the brainless fish they floundered around withâand so it was no issue for Thuringwethil and Mairon to quickly reach the submerged vault. The only problem would be opening the doors and preventing the water from entering and ruining the artifacts.
Mairon stepped gingerly into the frigid water, wading down the steps that led to the vault. The door was not far below the surface, and he extended his thought to it, searching for spells and determining its make and structure. Curumo had surely not simply left it unguarded, deep in the roots of Orthanc though it may be. The door was airtight by make, at least. But he felt no spells on it, nor any trace of other power. Had Curumo simply left it guarded by his Uruks, then? It cast doubts on the value of whatever he had stored in hereâŚbut what the lesser Maia had deemed of value evidently differed from Maironâs view. The little wretch may well have tucked something useful away in here, not realising its worth.
But they would have to get in first. He perused his memory, searching for a spell that might work. There were some, but they were long and complex and would require more power than he would wish to spend on the indeterminate value of whatever lay on the other side of the door. Let us simply make a wall of ice, he said with a hint of impatience in his thought. It would be more complicated than that, however, he mused. The entire area about the door would need to be frozen. We can freeze the water from the surface. He kicked off the floor, floating to the surface of the underground lake. âThen blast our way through the ice to the door,â he added when her head emerged from the water half a second later.
She eyed the bespelled door thoughtfully, then mused, quietly, "Perhaps we could cover it with a bubble of air instead. Â Freezing it would be more effective, but the mortals do patrol down here as well, and it would be risky if they were to see the ice that wasn't there before, no?" Â The ice would have been her choice as well, if it were not for the rangers and their watchfulness. It was a pity they were not as easily mislead as other Men. Â It was no doubt due to the blood of Numenor that still flowed in their veins, though it was quite diluted. Â These men could still fall prey to the same faults that other men had, and be none the wiser, slowly and slowly spiraling to their own demise. Â After all, it had happened to their greater ancestors, long ago.
Reigning in her wandering mind, she returned to the issue at hand; how to ensure the bubble would not move upwards and pop at the surface, allowing the water to enter the room. Perhaps, since the doors were submerged quite deep, they could place a layer of ice over the bubble, and then secure the solid in place before entering the room. It would be more complicated than she liked, she thought, but what else could they do?
The giant golden-crowned flying fox (Acerodon jubatus), also known as the golden-capped fruit bat, is a rare megabat  and one of the largest bats in the world. The species is endangered and is currently facing the possibility of extinction because of poaching and forest destruction. It is endemic to forests in the Philippines.
