I've made a small list for characters to write stories about and the Hoofbeats are some folks I'm brainstorming about! So, I'd love to hear more about Steel Strings, Open Mic, Melody and Encore!

Hmm... been trying to figure out what I'm willing to say that wouldn't be more fun in the context of their blog whenever I make another update there ahaaa
But! I can maybe just give a rundown of some personalities and the like!
He's more or less the leader of the band. He doesn't see himself as better by any means, but he (with the help of his professional musician parents) is the one that helps set up gigs and the like! He's probably the most outgoing and social of the group and he always makes sure everyone feels they have a say, whether that be in normal conversations or in putting together new sets! He and Mic are the founders of The Hoofbeats.
Admittedly she's the least developed of the Mane Four", but she's very sweet, very smart, and very talented. She adores babies and is very good with them. As far as music goes, she's been singing for as long as she can remember, and her mom put her and her sister through piano lessons until they graduated high school. She's actually not that great at classical piano, but she's very good at readying chords and making stuff up to accompany singing! She met the group in high school.
Once upon a time, being half bat pony led to Encore and her brother being a bit ostracized. She feels very lucky to have found a friend in Mic in middle school, who in turn introduced her to Steel! She's loud and proud and refuses to take anyone's crap. Cori used to get a nervous around new ponies, if only because she didn't want them to be uncomfortable, but after Twilight's school making other creatures much more commonplace, that's not really something she's had to worry about in quite a while.
Mic is the epitome of a gentle giant. People often wonder if he's related to Big Mac because of his large stature and soft-spoken nature, but that's just how he is. He's just rather shy and finds he doesn't really need to say much for his friends to understand what he means most of the time. Mic grew up feeling a bit out of place as he was generally much bigger than anyone else his age, so he tried his best to seem small and quiet and friendly. Still, he was often left out of things; until one day in elementary school, a brash little colt named Steel introduced himself and the rest is history!
Sunny is technically my ponysona, but in the context of the Hoofbeats, she's Melody's sister and the band's social media manager! She's very awkward and optimistic and forgetful, but she's doing her best! She hoards plushies and likes to draw a lot, and she's gotten a bunch of other random hobbies over the years. The definition of a "jack of all trades but master of none". She didn't figure out her special talent until high school. (It's brightening other ponies days!) Unfortunately, her wings are too small for her to fly, but that's never slowed her down!
