Hey. I'm Pine. I work for MIRA on a solo ship, carrying cargo between colonies. I know, a one-bean crew is unusual, but it works for me. While I don't mind the alone time, the higher-ups thought I needed to establish a wireless connection to other computers so I had people to talk to. So I don't go crazy, or something. Pretty dramatic if you ask me, but I'm not one to argue with them.

So, if you feel like sending me a message or asking me something, go ahead I guess. I'll answer when I have downtime between tasks.

I'm glad to see that both you and Pine are doing better. I'm not the one to pry. Frankly, I am really surprised that I've been keeping such close eye on your station during my own breaks. Pray and tell what methods do you use to calm Pine? They seem really effective and I would be honoured to learn from you as a fellow doctor who is trying their best for their patients.

The way he gets calmed down has been worked on and developed for years now. It's good to have something familiar you can bring your mind to in times of distress. In times like that, it may take a while for him to be able to hear me, but the most important part of the process is him knowing i'm there. That's something you need to establish early on to give a sense of security. Familiar things, phrases and ideas that we associate with safety are important tools to exit a breakdown.

One - You must spend a lot of time at the navigation console - what's the coolest thing you've seen in space? I've never left my home colony, so stars are all I've seen!

Two - Do you have any plants? My friend said they're nice to have for space missions. But I've always wondered if it would be too much of a pain to look after them, what with the whole 'no sun' thing.

And three! Is it easy to clean with just you up there? Most of my tasks are cleaning and oh boy let me tell you, the dust! It never stays outside!

I've seen a moon split in half once. That's probably the most notable thing i've seen. Most of what I can see out the front is just empty though. You'd be surprised on how much of space is just nothing. So I don't look outside too frequently. I haven't had plants on the ship before. I think that would be too much It'd probably die in a week anyway. And yeah, It's not too hard to clean. Dust can be annoying but it's something to do at least. Safe travels.

If you're not one of the individuals responsible for that incident, you should not have a place to speak for them. If they would like to show themselves and apologize on their own, they are more than welcome to. Until then, they can keep to themselves.

I remember back then, I was crazy for this certain brand of instant noodles. Beef flavored. I always made sure I had a good amount stocked when we went on missions.

Everyone knew not to touch them too. But, I remember one time, my stash got confused for one of the garbage bags and someone put it out the chute. I was so pissed. But- after we got off, and the next mission started.. They surprised me with a whole box of them.

She deserved some attention and a tune-up on her design after being essentially erased from existence, I might as well tell you more about her too (this is not at all canon to the world Pine is in so don't worry you're not getting spoiled)

This is Queen! In my old Among Us AU years ago before the show dropped, imposters were all the same species of parasitic insect-like aliens that functioned under her will

So basically if you were an imposter, your whole reason of killing people was to gather meat to feed to her in hopes of not being eaten yourself (she eats her own kids a LOT)

I also like to think it'd be pretty common for imposters to take the roles of captains and just straight up bring the ship to the planet she's on, so like. Imagine your captain just starts taking a detour and you're all confused and then you land in this place like "where are we" and suddenly you hear giant bug things outside trying to break in lmao, sorry bud you have become a doordash delivery for big mama

Anyway that's all, I just miss her lol (also if this turns out to be somewhat accurate if the show continued I'm gonna scream, I mean those eggs have to come from somewhere right)

okay anyway some fun little facts;

- When I was developing Abalone's personality, I was kind of thinking about a combination of Blue and Orange from the show, and I think that shows (especially with Abalone basically ignoring comments about their appearance) - Pine's voiceclaim is Freddy Rodriguez - I actually didn't originally create Abalone with the idea they had a tremor in their right hand, I only thought of that when I drew up their first ask because I felt like it'd make sense and be neat since I don't think I've seen an among us character with that before - Pine also has a Music Mix with songs that I think really fit him (especially the first one It's like scary how much it's just straight up him, it's basically his theme song, I love Red Vox) - Pine has existed as a character for I think 6 years now, he's only gotten a rework because of this blog and I'm very happy with it. He was originally put into an au I made where imposters all came from a species of these shapeshifting insectoid alien parasite things that had a queen and everything, but since the show came out he follows that lore now (honestly I wasn't that far off with them coming from eggs at least so there's that)

This was the queen btw she also liked to eat her own kids a lot

(If anyone following this blog has a tremor of some kind and would like to share any info about what it's like please let me know, I'd love to try and be as accurate as I can with portraying it)

Hi, Lynx. I have a decent collection of CDs. I try to keep them in decent condition. I have a lot of instrumental albums, I like having something to fall asleep to. Or just listen to in my off-time. I don't have a lot of opportunity to look for new ones so I usually just get one that looks good after a mission.

I was away from my equipment during the recent events that transpired on the network between my last message and now.  My previous message was never answered, but you are now authorizing which messages he receives.  Could you please discard my previous correspondence?

Very well, I understand.

I'm grateful I could salvage it as well. I'm actually the one who advocated for its implementation in the first place. I knew the risks, but.. I felt it could be worth it. I still think it can be good for him.

I dont know when you'll get this message, with...all that and my own comms being finicky...

I'm doing quite well. To answer your question, it is possible. Salt poisoning can happen if you consume too much sodium, but it's not very common. I've never dealt with a case of it before. You usually have to actively be trying to consume too much for symptoms to show, which is usually jittering and confusion.

Thank goodness! We was so worried! I stepped away for a moment to deal with something with our crew and I came back and the messages were just- I just-

People are so... People can be so hurtful. I'm so thankful that Pine has you. I... I hope he knows he isn't a monster. No matter what anyone tells him.

Question, and I'm sorry if I sent this before. Do you know a lot about... Pine's kind? Maybe,, things to help, in bad situations like that? Not that I need it hah, it's good information...

I'm glad he's okay too. I know how to calm him down from years of experience, but, it's always a rather slow process. I feel partly responsible for it as well, I should've been keeping a closer eye on him in the first place. Pine, he.. He holds so much guilt inside him. I wish I could take it away like I take away physical problems. I'm grateful he's been able to talk to people like you to take his mind off of it even temporarily.

I can't tell you much about what he is. I signed the same contracts he did. But.. It's not- he has things to help him.
