Tarvitz looked to his equerry who shook his head. “It seems you remain as up to date as we are,” he said with a polite smile. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Captain Sharrox. You are as welcome as your assistance in this matter.”

Lucius remained silent, his expression difficult to read. Saul was just relieved that he wasn’t looking entirely sullen and put-out. Of the Captains, he was often the most outspoken and obvious in his displeasure. 

“We would be happy to fill in any missing details or sections of the reports that were not clear enough,” Saul continued. “It goes without saying that any additional intelligence will be delivered to you as timely as it is given to us.”

“Excellent. Then we’re all on the same page,” Khakir replied with affirmation. His tone was still formal, but his mood seemed down to business all the same, though his expression told them that he was already formulating some questions to probe them with. He had already looked over almost every report that he could during the Raven Guard’s transit to this sector of space and had been refreshed with newer information once they had reached the outer lip of the system. He was up-to-date with everything that he could be, and was a reliable asset sent by his Primarch: he was here to see things progress and get done.
