A Moment of Sanity - Walterfirelly
âOh how I will ever repay you for your magnanimityâŚâ Ginger snorted snippy, not even trying to pretend to be moderately polite. Sitting himself near the campfire, he carefully took off thick jacket, wincing slightly. Maxwellâs actions brought only little of his attention, as he was more concentrated on not seeing glimpses of shadow creatures⌠Moment ago they feared him, now they were real threat, just like for every another survivorâŚÂ
Sighing softly, Walter grabbed a white bunny once again and put it on his lap, with sullen pout leaning against his usless at this season sledge. He naively thought that just at the snap of fingers, everything would be alright again⌠But it was not. Maybe it would be easier to just start over? Though, seeing how Maxwell was trying to keep him alive, it wasnât an option. What a shameâŚ
Walter closed eyes to avoid looking at twisted creations of his mind, slowly coming to reality as his sanity was dropping, petting in self-defense rabbit unconsciously. He wondered how long he would have to tolerate his new, unwanted companyâŚ
If there was one thing that these survivors did that disgusted Maxwell (though that list was a bit long...), it was their lack of desire to actually survive. Through the constant torturing, murder sprees, and general harassment from his impostors, Maxwell has found that moral is incredibly low on the island. To the point that these people had no desire to stay alive since they knew theyâd simply be brought back to life after the unfortunate event. Really... This lack of motivation to survive definitely put a damper on his plans. Thus instead of motivating them with pure life-threatening challenges, heâd have to pull another card from his hand. ...Heâd actually have to help them.
Which is what he was trying to do for Walter, but he just had the most sinking suspicion that the brat would rather off himself than survive this mess. What an absolute pain he was. Between Walterâs childlike attitude and Maxwellâs raging headache from splitting his consciousness into shadows, this was all truly becoming a pain.
But... As much as Maxwell would love to dwell on his own woes, daylight was diminishing quicker than his hopes of escaping his throne. Which meant the demon had less time to concoct a manner to deal with Walterâs horrible attitude. In theory, Walter would probably be in better spirits if Maxwell did something such as... Make him a flower crown, for instance.
But there was no way in the seven hells that Maxwell would ever do that. He hated flowers.
The tall magician glared over at the idiot with the rabbit. At least the bunny seemed to be helping... But you know what would help even more, Maxwell? Flowers.
No. No no. No flowers. The rabbit would do just fine. Surely Walterâs attitude would improve once he got some food on his stomach as well. Yes... Yes.. thatâs all he needed.
So, while waiting for his copies to return with their spoils, Maxwell let out a tired sigh as he looked over the idiot. âHow many times have you died, Mr. Firelly...? By the looks of your camp, you truly have no survival skills whatsoever. No wonder you ended up with such a curse...â
