Basically this all over again))

“I assure you that it’s 100 percent safe.” He went over to Alfred and leaned in to whisper something to him “I have a tracking device on you know who and he’s nowhere near where we’re going.”

Alfred nodded. “Alright.” He turned back to Matthew. “Yeah! It’s very safe! And fun too! You’ll love it!” He took Matthew’s hand. “Lead the way Matt!”

He smiled and led them to the same rock they always changed at and got out the shirts. Al had the dolphin and Matthew got a shirt that said ‘Blood is thicker than water, but maple syrup is thicker than blood’ “So. Are you ready to become human?”

“Hold my hand.” He took hold of their hands and began to chant as they both became human. He held Matthew up and had him sit on a rock “here are some pants for both of you.”

“Thanks dude!” Alfred replied. He slipped on his pants then helped Matthew with his. “Careful, alright? The legs take some time getting used to.” Matthew nodded. He tried to stand up, his new limbs shaking uncontrollably. Matthew yelped and fell on Alfred. The siren caught him. “I said be careful!” he joked. He helped Matthew regain his balance.

“Here.” He held him up and adjusted his legs and had him stand leaning back a bit more “standing like this will help.” He slowly began to let go to see how he would do on his own.

Matt chuckled and grabbed his bag that had the money. He looked at the two and smiled brightly “ready to go to the restaurant?”

Matthew tilted his head. “Restaurant?”

“A restaurant is a place where we get food.” He chuckled “and you look a bit hungry so I’m guessing food is a good option.”

“Good to hear you’re excited!” He led them to the restaurant that served different foods from around the world as well as having a bunch of seafood

Matthew’s eyes widened. There were scents he had never smelled before and food he’s never seen. “Woah,” he breathed.

“Amazing right?” He smiled and got them a table. “Order anything you think sounds good okay? I want you to dine happy.”

Matthew nodded. “Alright!” He paused. “Uh, is there anything you recommend? I have no idea what most of these are.”

He chuckled “Well, you seem like a pancake and poutine kind of guy. You can also get a soda or juice with that. You drink soda and juice.”

He chuckled then looked over the menu then nodded “they do indeed have chicken strips.”

He smiled and ordered their food. Not long after it arrived. “Did in.”

He looked up at him “don’t worry. It won’t bite.” He chuckled “you want me to cut your pancakes? They can be tricky to eat when whole like that.”

“No it’s okay!” Matthew replied. He stabbed his fork into the pancake’s fluffy exterior. It flopped over. Despite his better judgment, Matthew stuffed the entire thing in his mouth and fell in love. “Hmmm!!” was all he could muster, his eyes wide and watering.

He chuckled “Is it good?” He jokingly tried to steal a piece of pancake

Matthew quickly stabbed his fork into the pancake and hissed, his pupils becoming thin slits. Not a second later, he gasped and jerked back, a hand slightly covering his mouth. “Oh my gosh!! I’m so sorry!!” He covered his now reddened face. “I don’t know what came over me!”

He just laughed and smiled “you’re just hangry. You should eat some more. Don’t worry I’m not really gonna take it.” He stuffed a piece of crab in his mouth as that’s what he ordered

He smiled and took another bite of crab “you gonna try the poutine next?”

“Oh, yeah.” Matthew picked a piece up with the fork and took a bite. He melted in his seat. “It tastes wonderful!!”

He chuckled “I knew you’d like it.” He finished off his food and got a dessert menu “dessert anyone?”

Matthew tilted his head. “Dessert?” he asked, while Alfred’s face immediately lit up.

“Cakes, pies, cookies, and ice cream.” He smiled “Take your pick. Whatever sounds good to you is good for me.” He showed them the dessert menu which had pictures of all the desserts they had.

“As you wish.” He ordered them the ice cream and it arrived not long later

He chuckled quietly “What should we do after this? I hear there’s a carnival near by. Wang to try it out? Oh! A carnival is a place that has fun games and rides and even other snack food like churros, candy floss, elephant ears which aren’t really ears belonging to an elephant, and funnel cake. We could go to that.” He smiled “only if ya want to though.”

Both twins lit up. “Ooh! That sounds like fun!” Alfred cheered. Matthew nodded.

“Alright then let’s go!” He paid for the meal and took them to the carnival “point to whatever looks like fun. You can pick first Matthew cause it’s your first time on land. Then Al can pick next and I’ll pick last.”

“Oh, uh, alright!” Matthew looked around. Everything looked so exciting! It would be hard to choose just one. “Umm, how about that?” he asked, pointing to a ride that slid straight up then dropped back down.

“Alrighty. The Frog Hopper it is.” He got in line and after a short wait they were finally on the ride.

“Frog Hopper?” Alfred muttered, remembering his encounters with the little amphibians. The metal contraption had no resemblance to them, at least not that he could tell. “This doesn’t look like a frog.”

“It’s just a name Al.” He chuckled “but i agree with you. It does not look like a frog.”

The ride started and they were taken up high “the ride starts.”

Both twins yelped and clung onto each other as the ride took them higher and higher. Matthew felt nauseous looking at the shrinking figures on the ground. He looked over at Alfred who seemed rather sick himself. Maybe this wasn’t a good idea..

He held their hands. Maybe they should have stuck to easy rides and games. “Don’t worry it’s almost over.” The ride dropped them and then it was over. He looked over them “how about we try a game next. If you still want to stay that is.”

“Let’s um...let Al pick a game. You good Al?”

“Yeah,” Alfred replied, staying still on the floor. Matthew picked him up from under his arms. Alfred looked around. “How about that one?” he asked, pointing to a ring toss.

“Sure!” He led them over and bought them some rings “just toss em at the bottle and try to get the ring around them.” He tossed a ring getting it around the bottle “like that. Get all ten and you win that.” He pointed to a big tiger “one down nine to go.”

“Alrighty then.” Alfred picked up one of the rings and tossed it. It missed the bottle and fell on the floor. He tried again. Miss.

“Here, watch me.” He tossed the ring sort of like you’d throw a frisbee and it landed on a bottle

“Oh, I see.” Alfred took a step back and winded his arm. With one quick motion, he launched the ring, completely missing all of the bottles and whizzing it through the air. He nearly hit someone. “Uhh.. Sorry!” he called out. “I’m not very good at this.”

“Don’t worry. It’s just for fun. You don’t have to win.” He chuckled softly

Matt chuckled quietly and pat Al on the back “it’s okay. Not everyone can do this. There’s a game i have in mind once we’re done here you’ll probably be good at.”

Alfred tilted his head curiously. “What is it?”

“It’s the dart toss game. You throw a dart at balloons and win prizes for that.”

“Ooh that sounds fun!” Alfred cheered, bouncing in place. “I have no idea what a balloon is but I don’t think that really matters!”

He finished throwing his rings. They had gotten five out of ten rings so they got a small stuffed bear as a prize. He led them over to the balloon game and smiled “here’s how you play.” He got five darts and threw them at the balloons and popped six. He got a pikachu as a prize “now you two try.”

Alfred bounced in place, his eyes taking on a determined shine. “Ooh! This looks easy!” It was indeed very easy. In fact, so easy that he threw the dart into the balloon and ended up piercing it right through the wall. The dart clattered on the other side.

The man running the booth took down the biggest prize they had and gave it to Alfred “h-here ya go kid. You win.” He seemed a bit scared of him

“Oh, uh, thanks??” Alfred hesitantly took it and looked at Matt, confused.

“I think you’re a bit too good at this game.” He chuckled quietly “at least you won a cool prize.” The prize was a giant pikachu

Matthew laughed softly and placed a hand on Alfred’s shoulder. “Maybe we should go before you break something,” he joked. He spared a glance at the wary man running the booth. “Or you freak anyone else out.”

“Yeah, besides the sun is starting to set. We should get home.”

Matthew looked up at the sky and nodded. “Yeah. And I’m starting to miss Äiti and Pappa.” Alfred nodded as well.

“Alright then. Let’s go.” He took them back to the rocks where they changed “ready to go home?”

Both twins agreed.
