A Sim Adventure

Sorry for the delay, but we are back! Welcome to this VERY special edition of A SIM ADVENTURE! It’s our 12th mini story! This time we feature the 3rd generation in TED and KOBE! Sit back, relax, and enjoy... (notice our new link)

Ted was no longer a child, he had become a dashing teenager (and the girls had noticed too!). He got a job 5 nights a week. The pay wasn’t great but it WOULD look good on his resume. He worked hard hoping the higher ups would take notice.

Ted managed to snatch the girl of his dreams, that he used to play with on the playground (she changed her hair!).

And one day Ted leaned in and stole his first kiss. She was surprised but excited.

Shortly after they began going steady....

and then the promised to spend forever together!

Not surprisingly they spent time doing what all teenager couples do.... making out!

But, all was not good. Devonte was slamming drinks to his face and failing to accept what happened to him with the abduction and the addition of Kobe. 

The only person Devonte seemed to like these days was Ted. He was still very hard on him.

While big brother, Ted, was living on cloud 9.... little brother, Kobe, was not as fortunate. Tensions were mounting in the house. His dad rejected him and it was starting to cause major problems with Maya. Kobe didn’t know what to do...  

He felt so alone. He tried to fit in. He even wore his disguise everywhere (even though it was uncomfortable sometimes) and told no one who he truly was.  

He couldn’t wait to get home each day and take off his disguise. It was hard as a kid to pretend to be someone you aren’t and to keep a secret. He tried to be good. He wanted to win over his dad but he didn’t know how to do so. Hopefully, something would change and soon!

Then mom had an idea. It was crazy. It was stupid. But it might just work. Besides, the house was falling apart and she had nothing to lose.

What was the one thing that can unite all Sims? Food. And what food was universally loved food? PIZZA! This had to work. If everyone could gather around and actually talk and enjoy themselves... maybe... just maybe it would be a small step forward.  

“DINNER!” Maya exclaimed. 

The family gathered and started to talk.....

Then Devonte sat next to Kobe and started to really chat with him.

Patric was tired of trying to beat the clock! He came up with a plan to beat the system! He did some research.... 

He met a new friend....

He was a vampire! Immortality was in reach...

Strange things begin to happen...

And just like that a few days later he turned! He was a vampire! With proper caution he could live forever!

He was now a creature of the night...... with a hunger!

He took his first thirst out on his wife, Liberty!

He then discovered plasma packs! Mmmmmm the hunger was fed.

It even came in drink form!

He could even travel faster as a bat!

He paid tribute to the dark powers. It recharged him.

He then convinced Liberty to turn, so they could live forever together.

With great responsibility comes.... guilt?!?! 

He even took on a protege! He mentored her the best he could and she was a quick learner.

Darlene Dracula was a purebred vampire. He would make sure she was the best vampire ever. She had the heritage.  

He trained her hard. They vampire sparred. 

He had a little fun with his new hallucination ability. 

Patric grew quickly in notoriety.... A vampire on the rise!

Patric was happy as Chief of Police of Willow Creek and then LP-1 told him he was being retired! He was going to fight this....

The new chief seemed nice enough, but she had a dark secret that only a super detective like Patric could figure out...

She was EVIL!

So he locked the door and kept her out. She mostly played video games on her phone, while Patric kept Willow Creek safe and solved crimes.

But revenge was on her mind... and she had powerful friends! 

So on his last day, Patric went out and celebrated a long glorious career..... BUT 

REVENGE WOULD BE HIS.....

Sarai must die! The evilness and corruption would come to an end. And since Maya’s last name was Wallis, no one would connect the dots. Now the only ? was how and when.....

Patric couldn’t be directly implicated so Maya turned to one of his closest friends, fellow Detective Annabelle Herrera. Together they hatched a plan.

Step 1: Become friends.

Step 2: Have Sarai move in and make Maya next of kin.

Step 3: Casually shake hands and buzz target with some serious juice!

Finally, stick to the after plan..... act like you just found the body... prepare tears....

Meanwhile, in Willow Creek, Devonte went into labor and was rushed to the hospital by his loving wife.....

It was a “beautiful” boy they named Kobe.

The math wasn’t perfect...

And while Maya was the “step mom” she accepted Kobe as her own.

BUT Devonte was not happy about being abducted, impregnated, and left with an Alien child....

MEANWHILE...

Patric did the DANCE OF DEATH for his friend the Grim Reaper...

to become BEST FRIENDS with the Grim Reaper!!!

In order to obtain a special potion that allowed Liberty and Patric to live longer. They turned back the clock and their final days that were close were a distant memory.

And then... KOBE grew up!!

And his secret identity was intact!

BUT they weren’t the only ones who aged up....

Devonte and Maya were adults now and that wasn’t the only change...

While Kobe wasn’t quit the Whiz Kid Ted was (yet), he had a pretty good start..

And while this edition of A Sim Adventure closes... we will leave you with one last mystery... why is Patric starting a garden?

Maya was in her last trimester. She was so excited to being having her first child. They kept the sex a secret. Devonte would be the perfect father.

And then it happened.... the baby was here!

AND THEN..... TED CAME HOME!

Devonte and Ted had an instant bond. 

Patric and Liberty had more wrinkles and had gone grey.... BUT they were GRANDPARENTS!

But Ted wasn’t the only one who loved Liberty... the aliens were back to give Liberty another ride around the galaxy! She was getting too old for this...

A few day later... Ted became a kid!

Meanwhile, Patric was still catching bad guys....

Training....

Helping Ted with his homework...

And teaching Ted chess. He would help Ted be a child whiz.

Meanwhile, Devonte got promoted...

Preformed surgeries....

And his nurses were as lazy as ever..

As for Liberty she couldn’t stop hanging out with Aliens... she was obsessed. 

She even got a badge to prove it. 

and Liberty was starting to lose it...

Maya was pushing herself hard to lose her baby weight...

Maya became an independent consultant on the next big start up! This would be the next big thing! 

Meanwhile, Ted was becoming a little whiz kid!

And just when you thought the story was over....

It started all so innocently... Patric wanted to be a best selling author....

And he couldn’t stop getting frisky in the hot tub...

Then he bought that Legend Edition guitar.... 

BUT it was the drinking that worried Liberty the most... what would be next? She tried to confront him, but he turned on his usual charm that Liberty couldn’t resist....

Turned out it was a big screen projection tv... and he had that juice on the rocks in his hands again... what was going on?

The next day while Patric was in the shower Liberty saw a tattoo of a heart with her name in it. Enough was enough she had to confront him.

And how did he manage to eat all those pizzas and look so good? He told Liberty that he busted up a robbery at the pizza joint while off duty and now all his pizza was free...

She confronted him and he broke down over his juice on the rocks. He told her he knew he was an almost an elder and he was scared he hadn’t lived life long enough and beyond that would being a ghost be like? Would he remember who he was? Would people know who he was? Would he still love Liberty? Would they still be married? 

And then to make matters worse Liberty was abducted by aliens..... 

She wouldn’t say what they did, only their technology was cool... And Liberty was happy to be home. And it was 8 days and counting till they became elders... time was ticking.

Patric was closing in on his goal...... You might recognize the names....

Then they made a pact to grow old together....

Patric went then Liberty went...

They were now grey and elders..... but this was not the end....

Maya was pregnant!!!

In Willow Creek Patric was putting the finishing touches on his memoirs and his first book, Adventures in Space: A Sim Adventure. And Liberty was starting to create her next video game hit, SIMS WORLD.

Patric finished just in time before going to make the world a safer place, as Police Chief of Willow Creek. He knew that Adventures in Space would be the next big hit and make the #1 New Sims best seller. He could feel it in his bones, and his gut had got him all the way to Chief, so he had to be right!

But Patric had a nasty surprise when he got to work! Someone forgot to tell the old Chief he was the new Chief that had been hired... and she was hogging the Police Chief desk....

So be it, if she wanted the stress and aggravation, then Patric would go take a nap and dream up his next best seller...

And then a late breaking story in Willow Creek ...

The old Chief Amber Peters had become clinically insane. She had been fired weeks ago. The higher ups asked Patric to “fix” the problem and make it look like an “accident” before she embarrassed Police Headquarters anymore. 

Patric hatched a plan with his wife and they invited her to move in....

They locked her in her room and her insane trait kicked in x1000 and she laughed herself to death.....

It was done. Amber Peters was dead. The Grim Reaper processed her death.

Patric told his new friend, The Grim Reaper, what happened and paid him off to never repeat the story. 

Grim Reaper and Patric agreed to go get some juices on the rocks sometime and to never speak of this again.

Patric mourned former Police Chief Amber Peters. He would miss his old friend and former Chief. He had to do it, but it was with a heavy heart that he had.

And then it happened....

Amber Peters came back one last time to say she forgave Patric. It needed to be done and she didn’t hold it against him. She could rest in peace. 

Patric was now fully in charge of the precinct and no one knew what Police -1 had asked of him. It was a secret they’d take to their graves.... And while Amber Peters time had run out, for the rest of the Sim world... time marches on...

The exciting conclusion to this 3 part mini-series is finally here! Our monthly events have kept you waiting long enough… buckle up, sit back and relax…. here we go!

Devonte rushed home and woke up Maya. He couldn’t wait to tell her. He told her that he loved her. He told her that they were going to get through this together. He told her he’d change and already have started. He told it was till death due them apart. And Maya could see in his eyes he meant every word. She knew then they’d be together forever. It wasn’t quite that simple…. but they would make it… together.

The next day just when Devonte thought things couldn’t get better he got his first patient and successfully diagnosed him! Making a child well warmed his good heart. And to boot he bet a promotion couldn’t be far off…

Rainy Day Entertainment wasn’t cutting it for Maya…. she could program for them in her sleep. She needed a bigger challenge….

Maya decided to risk it all. It wasn’t really the money, it was the challenge. Turns  out she was up to the challenge. Finally, she put her skills to use. 

Maya was starting to formulate an idea. If companies like Rainy Day Entertainment and ESports could do it… Why couldn’t she… Maybe it was time for a Kickstarter for her own startup… she couldn’t quit yet, but the wheels were turning…..

And while Maya achieved her life aspiration of becoming a Program Manager, and one step closer to her master plan… Devonte wasn’t as lucky…..

 He came home with a bad case of Tiger Stripe Rash… dangers of working in a hospital… 

Between working long hours, being sick, and work schedules Mia and Devonte hadn’t had time to really talk since that night… but this Saturday they were both off… and they had a date!

First they started things off with a moment lost on cloud 9 in front of the RATTLESNAKE JUICE…

Then they went to the Solar Flare where things really started to heat up… they skipped desert……check please!

Things didn’t stop when they got home……

Devonte was definitely getting over his loner streak and non-commitence…at least on the love front. But they were far from done. They bought some snazzy “GOLD” clothes and prepared to go out again…..  They were the GOLDEN COUPLE……

Devonte overcame his loner insecurities thanks to Maya and started to become self assured. Devonte was a good person, a nice guy. He was started to buy into it. Maya made him see the light. If she liked him, he must be “cool”.

The next day while Maya was busy being a project lead at Rainy Day Entertainment...

Devonte decided to make some extra money by writing a children’s book, Pat the Badger. While he had to self publish, he should still see a small profit roll in from royalties. Every dollar helped support the dream he and Maya had.

And then it happened! Devonte got his medical degree and was now doing rotations as a RN! Maya was so proud of his sacrifice and hard work. He still hasn’t a doctor... but he was close and things were finally coming together!!

...and then it happened! He FINALLY became a doctor! His hard work hard, long hours, and years of school was coming to fruition... but he had to overcome his noncommittal status...

The next day Patric came in requiring surgery. He had a bad case of itchy plumbob and he said he’d only let Dr. Wallis do the procedure.

Devonte was nervous to work on his father in law, but he owed so much to him that he could not fail. He worked hard and the sweat poured down his face....

...but it was a SUCCESS!

That night Maya and Devonte celebrated...

...And then Devonte realized he had found his soulmate and he was madly in love!! But most importantly he had become the partner that Maya deserved. He now knew how to treat her like the princess she was to him.

He had finally become a romantic and got over his noncommittal fears.  He now craved romance. He couldn’t imagine life without Maya. If he could self diagnosis himself he was bit by the love bug and there was no going back. The best was yet to come....

Was this the end of a story or the beginning of a legacy?

Part I was Maya’s story. Part II is Devonte’s story. An issue Devonte faced was every time he went out with his wife, Maya, her dad Patric showed up. He was a nice guy, but they needed their alone time. They needed to work on their problems. Get past their fears….

Then Patric and Maya always talked and left Devonte to feel like a 3rd wheel.

Devonte was so over it that he just left. He went home and crashed. He was angry. All the good done by the date was undone by her father, again. Devonte thought Patric just missed his daughter. But it was destroying their marriage…

While pleasant, Devonte and Maya largely ignored each other the next day. Maya practiced her programming and Devonte read the New England Journal of Medicine.

Devonte was tense. He was a noncommittal type of guy and was fast paced rising through his career and was married. This is what he needed to work on. Permanent was comforting. He needed to learn that. Providing for his family was good. Marrying the love of his life was the best thing that ever happened to him. He needed to pray. He needed to overcome this….

Patric was even showing up at Devonte’s work! He couldn’t catch a break. He was professional toward him, but agitated. He liked the guy, but really…?!?!? UGH. 

Twice in one day was a bit much. Was the Police Chief of Willow Creek checking up on him? Or was he making too much of this?

Then Patric called Devonte. “What now?” thought Devonte to himself. Patric wanted to meet up to talk. And talk they did. Or at least Patric did. And what he had to say was eye opening. Patric explained he was happy Devonte married Maya and that he was just trying to look out for the BOTH of them. He also told Devonte that after he left yesterday all Maya did was talk about him. Patric said he gave fatherly advice but that Devonte needed to take it from here. Patric said they were married now and needed to turn to each other, not others. He said he’d be here for the both of them, but he had done all he could for now. Patric gave Devonte a little advice, then paid for the drinks, shook his hand and wished him luck and left...

Devonte had seen it all wrong. He had a whole new respect for Patric. He needed to talk to Maya. He had so much to say...

Through his legendary space travel and historic police rise, Patric longs to take a break and passes the torch to his daughter, Maya. This is her story…. A story of love and a journey to see if love conquers all…

Maya was an excelled student by week and a manual laborer by weekend. She worked hard to distinguish herself. Even at her young age she was a top computer programmer and dreamed of pursuing a job that let her put her skills to good use.

Maya had a chance encounter with Devonte that led the couple to fall in love. They got “promised” to each other and dreamed of a day they could be together.

… then Devonte proposed to Maya and they moved to Oasis Springs. It was all so quick, so sudden…. but all her dreams were coming true…

Her parents would be so proud of their “little” girl….

Maya immediately put her hacking/coding/video game ability to use and started her dream job to help put Devonte through Medical School. Rainy Day Entertainment were lucky to have her skills. “Code Monkey” wouldn’t be her job title long after all she had already skipped the opening jobs of Tech Support and Quality Assurance. RDE knew they had a gem….

Devonte did his rounds and got to treat his 1st patient, a familiar face (Patric from our 1st 2 stories), in hopes of saving up for a big wedding…

But Maya couldn’t wait and they had a private ceremony in their humble home. She couldn’t have been happier….

Maya needed a little money for their new life… every $ “donated” would help… maybe she should have used GoFundMe but what fun would that be….

Medical school prepared Devonte for a great many things, but he did not expect this during his rounds as a Medical Assistant( he was on the fast track thanks to Maya’s help… he would make her proud)… The truth IS out there it appears…

Was this THEY LIVE or just another day at work…?? #outed 

Both were overworked and desperately needed a day off. Maya called in a vacation day and off they went. Devonte put on his charm….

Every relationship needs TLC. And these newlyweds intended to live it up. (Is that Patric checking up on his daughter in the background …maybe she should call more?!?!?!!)

And they ended the date just right…. like the lovebirds they are….

Devonte was a good husband but…

…he was a loner with commitment issues who just wanted a soulmate. He was a walking contradiction and it was an uphill battle…. He was trying but it was hard on the relationship. This date helped, but they had a long road ahead.

He’d have to change for this to work, but could he? He was trying…

Patric as a young adult rose to the top of the entertainment career. He had fame, groupies, and lots of cold hard cash…. and he loved it all. But as an adult he gave it all up so he could give back to the community he loved. He joined the police academy (after all he did love the movies by the same name)…..

Patric arrived at Police Headquarters ready to catch bad guys, go crazy during interrogations, and learn all he could from the Police Chief. The Chief was a legend from way back when and a well known hard nose.  

But the life of a rookie is a lonely one. Patric’s desk was all alone. In fact he wasn’t even sure this was his desk. No one talked to him about it so he assumed it was. There was some hot shot detective that was suppose to show him the ropes, but he never saw hide no hare of him/her. So he just did his thing. Collecting clues, and putting evidence together to collect a case…. and finally they let him issue an APB!

… And he got to nail his 1st suspect!! Case solved and closed. So he decided to see this legendary Chief that everyone talked about with such admiration. After all wouldn’t he have praise for a young officer closing his first case?

The Chief wasn’t very kind. Patric had just graduated from the Academy and become an officer and the Chief pinned all the crimes of the world on him! He didn’t pull any punches…..

But as hard nosed as the Chief was professionally Patric eventually talked him into taking this selfie with him and they managed to become friends, but everything wasn’t as it seemed…

They train you for all sorts of things, all kinds of scenarios…. except the paranormal. Ashley Ponder a former elder now ghost was the key witness in one of Patric’s cases….

And then she started showing up at the station daily. Reporting crimes and wanting updates….

But one day Patric arrived to work and the entire office has been culled and replaced with younger fresher blood. Even the legendary Chief was gone… and Ashley would never be heard from again. Hopefully solving her case let her RIP.

And with the new regime came the release of Patric’s first arrest. This new regime wasn’t impressing him. Technicality with evidence they claimed. Patric would have to keep an eye on him…

But the new Chief did recognize Patric’s potential right away giving him snazzy new clothes and a promotion to Detective! 

The promotions kept coming and Patric was living life large and pushing the limits. He even took bad guy selfies! But as long as he did good his new boss looked the other way. 

Things were great all around and Liberty loved the uniform! But Patric couldn’t help dream of the big chair in the big office…. When would it be his turn to be Chief? Patric loved serving the public, but the hours… the training…. it was all adding up. Colonel was good, but Chief would be great! 

Patric worked out very hard to progress toward his goal. He needed this. He took his vitamins, said his prayers… he was a good Hulkamanic. 

And he doubled down at work….

Put the clues together…. issued an APBs….

Interrogated the suspects…

…and locked them up!

The Chief took note, but would it be enough….

He even snuck in to try out her desk……

The Chief called Patric in for a talk…. this was make or break it for Patric….

And then…. it happened! Patric was the Chief! He was in charge of the entire precinct! Every life was dependent on him…. He was to oversea everyone….. and bring the precinct to the next level…

The Chief left Patric with wise words of advice….

All that was left was for him to write his memoirs…

The end..??

Patric had a dream to go where few Sims have before….space the final frontier! He tore down his roof and started to build his very own Rocket from ACME Rockets! His Astronaut wife, Liberty, manned mission control preparing the voyage while their daughter, Maya, scouted possible routes in the observatory! This would be a family mission.

Patric worked day and night in his free time much to the chagrin of his neighbors. But his blood, sweat, and tears paid off as he finally finished the rocket, PL-1. This was one small step for Sims and one giant leap for Simkind!

Confident he set off to explore unknown cosmos! It was a whole new frontier, private space exploration! 

Once around the galaxy and Patric returned safely home to his family. The mission was a big success! A childhood dream was fulfilled. What would the future hold?

Next Patric did what any self respecting Sim would do, he brought his wife Liberty aboard and joined the very exclusive 50 mile high club! A night neither would ever forget!

But, while Patric was off on his job (Entertainer) the next day, Liberty decided to take the his ship for a little spin! After all, she was an astronaut and he’d never know….

The only problem is….. she crash landed! While she was safe, she had managed to destroy most of the ship! (#RIP PL-1) What would Patric say?!?!???!!!

Maybe she could rebuild it before he got home. What he didn’t know couldn’t hurt him.

Needless to say Patric was not happy with Liberty (why did he leave the keys to the spaceship on the kitchen counter?!?!?!!!). But there was nothing to do but forgive and build a better safer rocket. 

Patric and Liberty worked tirelessly to make additions to PL-2, including landing stabilizers, to make sure of future mission success. 

Patric and Liberty took turns this time manning PL-2 and collected many rare treasures… both alive and dead!

Liberty then topped out her field as a Space Ranger! Her deeds at both Space-Y and in the private sector were legendary and Space-Y built and dedicated a statue of Liberty… but that wasn’t all…

His and Her Rockets! Liberty now had her own Ranger Rocket L-1 to guide through space (after some updates)!

Preparations began immediately for the maiden voyage of the Ranger Rocket L-1. Patric worked endlessly to make sure everything was perfect. He loved his wife and both wanted her safe and for the first voyage to go off without a hitch… 

After Liberty’s successful maiden voyage. Patric decided to make one final update to his ship to allow him to travel through wormholes. This would change the Sims world forever! He successfully traveled through the wormhole and discovered an ALIEN PLANET (SIXAM)! 

Patric was successfully transported to the planet and he tried to make contact with the aliens through the universal language of music. Soon Aliens came pouring out….

CONTACT was made. Patric befriended these new aliens and some followed him back to earth (a planet they said they had been coming to since before the pyramids!). Patric retired the PL-3 so he could focus on a new career….
