For the rest of the party you were completely out of it. You looked like a zombie, you were so absent-minded. But you couldn't escape your own thoughts when so many things were swirling around in your head.
You were grateful he hadn't recognized you; you didn't want to face everything so suddenly. On the other hand, it broke your heart to know that the future father of your baby didn't remember you.
Damn, it would be difficult with him being part of the same group of friends.

AN: the beau fic I have been working on foreverrrr. Okay so basically I needed an AU where Beau lives soooo…
Warnings: Medical Talk, Mentions of Blood, Car Accident
When Beau had invited you to his grandma’s birthday dinner you thought nothing of it. Of course you would be in attendance with your handsome boyfriend to celebrate Mimi Maxwell’s birthday. If there was one person Mimi Maxwell loved more than Dean Di Laurentis, it was Y/N Di Laurentis. Yes, how cliche, you were dating your older brother’s best friend. Though you use the term older lightly, Dean was barely 11 months older than you.
sorry I saw a post about AAVE and got fired up and had to make this

god it would be awesome if the human brain could just ignore an upsetting thing instead of constantly wandering back to it for no fucking reason

Dean Di Laurentis had faced many crises in his life.
A lost wallet. A missed flight. Garrett Graham when he was hungry. But nothing prepared him for the look on his daughter’s face when she realized her teddy bear was gone.
It happened after daycare pick-up, just as you were getting dinner started. She came into the kitchen quiet in the way children only got when something had truly upset them, her tiny hands clutching at the hem of her shirt.
Dean looked up immediately from the counter. “Hey, sweetheart.”
She didn’t answer.
That was the first clue.
You turned from the stove. “Baby?”
Her chin wobbled.
Dean was across the room instantly. “What’s wrong?”
She looked at him with watery eyes and whispered, “Bubby’s gone.”
Dean frowned. “Bubby?”
Her lower lip trembled. “My teddy.”
The second he understood, his face changed completely.
“Oh,” he said softly.
Your daughter’s eyes filled with tears almost instantly. “I left him.”
Dean crouched in front of her right away. “Where?”
She sniffled and pointed in a direction that could have meant anything. “At school. I think.”
Dean looked up at you, and the panic in his eyes was almost comical because he was trying so hard not to let it show.
You gave him a tiny shrug that said good luck.
He turned back to your daughter and softened immediately. “Okay. We’ll find him.”
She shook her head hard. “What if he’s sad?”
That nearly broke him.
Dean’s voice went gentle in a way that made your chest ache. “He’s probably just waiting for you to come back.”
She looked unconvinced, tears spilling over her cheeks now.
Dean stood and scooped her up without hesitation, carrying her against his chest while he kissed the top of her head. “We are going to find him.”
She clung to him immediately.
You watched them for a second, then reached for your phone. “I’ll call the school.”
Dean was already pacing with her in his arms, checking the couch cushions, the hallway, the car, the mudroom, and every other possible place the teddy bear could have been hiding in case reality had been kinder than it looked.
It had not.
By the time the school called back to say nothing had been turned in yet, Dean was already planning his next move.
He got in the car with your daughter still tearful in his lap and drove back to the daycare like a man on a mission.
You followed behind in your own car, because there was no way in hell you were letting him do this alone.
When you got there, Dean had already gone inside with your daughter on his hip, speaking calmly to the receptionist while she looked absolutely helplessly charmed by the sight of him trying to solve a teddy bear emergency with the seriousness of a hostage negotiation.
He came back out ten minutes later with no bear and a very grim expression.
“Nothing?”
He shook his head. “Nothing.”
Your daughter started crying harder in the back seat of the car, and Dean immediately reached back to hold her hand while you drove.
“It’s okay,” he kept saying, voice low and steady. “We’re not giving up.”
She sobbed, “But Bubby’s all alone.”
Dean turned in his seat as much as he could. “Then we’re going to be the loudest search party in the city.”
That made her hiccup a little.
You glanced over and almost smiled despite the fact that your heart was breaking for her. Dean looked entirely too determined now, jaw set, already brainstorming how to contact every place she’d been in the last twenty-four hours.
He called the school. He called daycare again. He called the library where you had stopped earlier in the week. He even called the café by the park because he remembered, somehow, that she had been carrying Bubby that morning when you all got coffee.
No bear.
No clues.
By the evening, your daughter had gotten quieter in that exhausted, sad way children did when they were too upset to keep crying properly. Dean had her in his lap on the couch while you sat beside them, both of you pretending to watch a movie while he stroked her hair.
She fell asleep with her face pressed into his chest, still clutching one of his sleeves like she needed to know he was still there.
Dean looked miserable.
You touched his knee lightly. “We’ll keep looking tomorrow.”
He nodded once, but he did not look convinced.
The next morning, before sunrise, he was up searching again.
He checked the car. The laundry room. Under every bed. Behind every couch cushion. He even called a friend who worked near the daycare and asked if he could put out a message to the neighborhood group chat.
By noon, he had turned into a man possessed.
Garrett found him standing in the kitchen with your daughter’s little spare blanket in one hand and his phone in the other.
“What are you doing?”
Dean didn’t look up. “Searching the city.”
Garrett blinked. “For a teddy bear?”
Dean stared at him like this was a ridiculous question. “Yes.”
Garrett gave you a look across the room that said he was not sure whether to be impressed or concerned.
You just shrugged.
Because the truth was Dean had not once suggested replacing the teddy bear.
Not once had he said, “It’s okay, she can have a new one.” Not once had he acted like Bubby was just some toy that could be swapped out.
He knew better.
That bear mattered because it had gone through everything with her. It was bedtime, tears, car rides, daycare drop-offs, and every tiny fear in between.
And Dean understood that.
By evening, after a ridiculous amount of effort and one very loud argument with a receptionist who swore they had checked everywhere, the school finally called back.
There had been a mix-up.
Someone in aftercare had put Bubby in a bin with some art supplies and forgotten to mention it.
Dean almost dropped the phone.
He practically flew back to the school, and you went with him because he was still too emotional to drive well and because there was no way in hell you were missing this.
He came back out fifteen minutes later holding the teddy bear in both hands like a religious artifact.
Your daughter, who had been half-asleep in the back seat, sat up the second she saw him.
“Bubby?”
Dean’s face changed completely.
He handed him over immediately and your daughter made the tiniest sound of relief before wrapping both arms around the bear and burying her face into the fur.
Dean nearly cried on the spot.
You absolutely saw it.
He got into the car, shut the door, and sat there for a second with his hand over his mouth like he was trying to recover from an emotional collapse he had no business having over a stuffed animal.
Your daughter looked at him, then at the bear, then back at him.
“Daddy?”
He turned.
She held the teddy up a little, then said in a very serious little voice, “You found him.”
Dean’s expression broke.
He nodded once and reached over to brush her hair back from her face. “I told you I would.”
She smiled and snuggled back into the bear.
You looked at him from the driver’s seat and said softly, “You searched the whole city.”
Dean gave you a helpless look. “She was upset.”
You smiled. “You were upset.”
He looked down at his hands for a second. “Yeah.”
Then he glanced into the back seat where your daughter was already drifting off again with her teddy bear clutched against her chest.
“She looked like she’d lost the world,” he admitted quietly.
Your chest went soft.
Dean leaned back in the seat and let out a long breath. “I was not letting that stand.”
You smiled at him. “I know.”
He looked over at you then, tired and relieved and still very much Dean in the way he went all in for the people he loved.
And because the whole thing had somehow become both heartbreaking and ridiculous, you reached over and squeezed his hand.
Dean looked at you for a second, then smiled a little.
“Next time,” he muttered, “the teddy bear gets a tracking device.”
You laughed. “She’d never let you hear the end of that.”
He glanced back at your sleeping daughter and smiled softly. “Worth it.”
And that was the thing about Dean. He might have spent the whole city searching for a teddy bear, but he would have done it again in a heartbeat if it meant seeing your daughter smile like that again.
Because to him, Bubby was not just a toy.
He was part of her heart.
And Dean was never going to be the kind of father who let that get lost without a fight.

The problem with being drunk was that you had never been very good at lying when you were sober.
A few drinks only made it worse.
By the time the party had spilled from the living room into the kitchen and halfway down the hall, you were warm all over, curled into one corner of the couch with your legs tucked underneath you, laughing at something Dean had said that probably wasn’t as funny as he thought it was. He knew it, too. That was the problem with Dean. He didn’t need anyone to laugh at his jokes. He already found himself entertaining enough.
Hannah was beside you, shoulder bumping yours, her cheeks pink from the heat in the room. Allie stood near the arm of the couch with a red cup in her hand, watching Dean argue with Garrett over which one of them had worse taste in music.
“You can’t insult my playlist when you listen to old man rock during workouts,” Garrett said.
Dean looked offended. “Old man rock?”

𓏲⋆ TELLING THE OFF CAMPUS BOYS TO GET ON THEIR KNEES WHEN THEY ASK FOR SOMETHING ( cw: suggestive/explicit dialogue & topics, no smut )
DEAN DI LAURENTIS
“Babe,” he whined, “Baaaabe.”
You turned around from the stove, facing your annoying boyfriend.
He knew it got on your nerves when he stood behind you while you were cooking. Especially when he whined the whole time.
So when he asked, “Can I taste test it?” you didn’t immediately shut him down like you normally did.
No, instead you said, “If you get down on your knees and ask, maybe I’ll consider it.”
Why you didn’t expect him to actually do it? Who knows.
He was down on his knees within seconds, his hands pawing at your hips. “Please, baby. Can I please taste test it?”
You had to hold in your laugh, but you felt like he earned it.
Putting your hand on his head and petting him like a dog, you said, “Yes you can, for being such a good boy,” in a very mocking tone.
It didn’t phase Dean one bit though, if anything, he seemed to enjoy it. He pushed his head into your hand like a cat and then stood up with an expectant look on his face.
You rolled your eyes and pulled out a piece of pasta, dropping it directly in his open mouth. He moaned when he tasted it, then gave you a quick kiss on the lips.
“Thank you, sweetheart,” he murmured against your shoulder, already standing right behind you again.
GARRETT GRAHAM
Garrett had been annoying you all day.
You convinced him to go shopping with you, leaving out the details of where you were going and how long it would be.
He knew it could take a while, but 3 hours? After the first hour he was complaining at every store. You offered to leave early, but when he saw the small pout on your face he changed his mind.
But that didn’t mean he was going to stop groaning and moping.
When you stopped to look at two different tops, he took it as an opportunity to rest his head on your shoulder, pressing a soft kiss to your neck.
“Garrett...” you trailed off, a subtle warning to do too much in terms of PDA. He hummed, his free hand—the one not holding all of your shopping bags—coming up to rest on your hips.
“I have an idea,” he mumbled, pressing another soft kiss to your shoulder. “Let’s get you some new stuff from Victoria’s Secret. I’ll buy.”
You rolled your eyes, deciding on the black top instead of the white one.
“If you want me to go try on lingerie for you, you’d better get on your knees and beg,” you joked, walking further into the store.
When you stopped to look at a pair of pants, you saw Garrett drop to his knees in the corner of your eye.
“Please, gorgeous. Let me buy you some new lingerie. I’ll be so good from here on out,” he pleaded, his hands pressed together in a praying motion.
Your eyes darted around, seeing the mostly empty store. “Stand up, oh my god.”
He shook his head, “not until you say yes.”
“Garrett.”
“Princess.”
You sighed, “Fine. Now stand up.”
JOHN TUCKER
“Let me eat you out, sweetheart,” Tucker mumbled against your neck, reaching behind you to lock his bedroom door.
“Uh-uh.”
His lips formed a pout, “Please?”
“If you really want to...” you trailed off, seeing the glint of hope in his eyes, “Get on your knees and ask again, then maybe I’ll let you get a taste.”
For a moment he looked surprised, but he did as you said.
He dropped to his knees, pressing feather-light kissed to your bare stomach and thighs. “Can I get a taste of you, gorgeous?” His hands ran up the backs of your legs. “Please.”
You sighed, your fingers playing with his dark curls. “Okay, fine, but hurry up. I wanna feel you inside me as soon as possible.”
“Yes ma’am.”
JOHN LOGAN
“Come with me,” Logan asked as he pulled on his sweatpants, “The gym is so boring when I’m alone.”
You were already standing, putting on lotion as you listened to your boyfriend try to reason with you to go to the gym with him.
“I showered just last night. You want to make me shower again in less than 12 hours?”
He looked up at you and shrugged, a suggestive smirk on his face. “I’ll help you out?”
“Of course you would.”
Throwing his head back, he groaned. “Why does my girlfriend hate me?”
You rolled your eyes and sighed, “Tell you what. You get on your knees and beg me to come with, and maybe I’ll go and let you ‘help me out’ in the shower later.”
He was on his knees in front of you within seconds.
“Please come with me, gorgeous. The gym is so much more enjoyable with you there,” he pleaded, begging with the way his big brown eyes were looking up at you.
You clicked your tongue, “Fine. Only because I didn’t actually think you would do that.”
He smirked, standing up and pressing a ‘thank you’ kiss to your cheek. “You underestimate me, baby.”
