I don't think I've ever drawn metal before so this is sort of a test, but the idea is that his 'design' is pretty bare compared to sonics, eggman not caring enough to replicate sonics patterns, which change and grow more intricate with age. Metal is not able to speak, but can produce beeps, which he uses to communicate via morse code!
