Got to send out some valentines this year! This one is called Queer Failure: a love letter to Sor Juana, 2020. It is featured in the Fall 2020 cohort zine for a virtual class on political printmaking taught by Kate Laster at Art School San Francisco. It’s so much fun participating in Kate’s classes! 

Life update: I took a year off and am back to my phd program -- woooo first gen student. Happy to be back and grateful for the cool work I get to do. I had the chance to teach an undergraduate intro to women’s studies class where my students focused on consciousness raising and zine making! I’ve learned so much from them and this whole dive into zines in the classrooms! ALSO - Esther and I are getting the awesome Journal Lab workshop back together! Hoping to throw a end of the year zine fest as part of Journal Lab so stay tuned!! 2020 will bring more journaling workshops, zine making and art making!  Thanks for your support! 2018-2019 was a trash fire for me and I am rising like a phoenix!

Was honored to come to a Gender? meeting (in the brand spanking new LGBTQ center) as part of a Gender? Alumni  panel! We talked about being gnc in the professional workplace and mental health.

New zine update— Real Talk™️ I’m coming out of a really intense episode of depression and sexual assault. Recently made a super dope Juan Gabriel doll for my friend Orquidia for defending her dissertation! I call him Gabrielito Jr. (jr only to el divo de Chicago, Gabrielito). Technically not a piñata but still #16 of my Paupiñatacore series).
