A few weeks ago I worked on a few very simple images of shapes in the sand left behind by the ocean's tide. I was surprised by the powerful contemplative and calming nature of the images. I've gone back through my library to find more such shots. I've pushed myself for simplicity. Black and white shots that create a space for the mind to quiet itself. I will post the series over time. It's a time for some contemplation.

I usually don’t post anything but photos. That’s my thing. But my kids are my thing too. My son has a Kickstarter campaign for a truly great product he created. If you love coffee you will love the Pascal Press. Great coffee that is simple to make and easy to take. Jump on board and have some fun. We will now return to regular programming.

A reminder about my son's kickstarter campaign. If you have been thinking about supporting his efforts but haven't gotten around to it yet - well perhaps today is a good day to do that. He is 80% of his way to his goal - but this is the hard stretch.

Kickstarter, and the young people who use it to build their own jobs and businesses, is a great way to positively participate in the future. Our kids face a much tougher world than we did. They have to carve out their own paths - yet many rise to the challenge. So if you can, get behind Alan and other entrepreneurial young people.
