Brief explanations of each AU:

Relativity Falls AU: The Stans' roles are swapped with the younger twins. Plenty of iterations usually have Dipper take Ford's place and Mabel's in Stan's place. Example art by @itzmellooo

Reverse Falls AU: Generally the Pines here are evil. Gideon and Pacifica usually take the twins' role. Example art by @enidtendo64

Better World AU: Ford mentioned in Journal 3 of a "Better World" where Stan listened to Ford and took Journal 1 away. Ford and Fiddleford reconcile and establish the "Institute of Oddology". Ford here became a respected scientist. @gfseparateworlds is working on an AU with that premise.

Drifting Stars AU: At the end of Not What He Seems, Mabel gets sucked in the Portal and she and Ford travels through the multiverse

Gravity Rises AU: More complicated to explain, but basically Dipper and Mabel swapped personalities; Robbie takes the place of Wendy, and Melody in Soos' place. Ford runs the Mystery Shack or at least an iteration of it. Gideon is less evil, but Pacifica is more psychotic. An example art of the concept by @lampette

Unfortunately one of the first things Ford does is cut Stan’s hair when he’s too groggy to make any real protest. The prospect of growing out his hair doesn’t become much of an issue until Stan II is a bit older.

Ford suspected that Stan liked his hair long cause he had a mullet, but he wants to keep his new brother’s hair shorter so he doesn’t look like Stan did when he died for practical reasons
