Development for the next update is already underway!

I previously mentioned that I needed to clean up the game's code before getting started, and it has genuinely made the development process much faster for me. The first weekly development update for Day 3 is already available on Patreon, and everyone else will be able to see it next week. That said, I'll be sharing fewer screenshots of new scenes this time around.

You'll also be getting some updates about the store and upcoming merchandise soon, so please be a little patient! I'm carefully checking the quality of every product before approving them. Some are already finished, while others are still on their way. I'll be sharing photos as soon as everything arrives.

Finally, a quick reminder: please don't use the moderators' ask boxes for questions, complaints, or reports about the game or unauthorized merchandise. I'll be providing an email address soon where you can send that information directly to me.

The moderators are here to help manage and organize this blog. On their personal blogs, however, they are simply fans and content creators with their own interests and opinions. The development of the game is still entirely my responsibility, so I kindly ask that you respect the moderators' personal spaces.

A programação para a nova atualização já esta em andamento! Eu havia mencionado que precisei fazer uma limpeza no código antes de começar, e isso realmente tornou as coisas bem mais rápidas para mim. A primeira atualização semanal do dia 3 já esta disponível no Patreon, e semana que vem vocês terão acesso a ela, porem eu mostrarei menos prints de cenas dessa vez. Today is Ticket Taker's birthday! Thank you all for your kindness! I've seen so many amazing fanarts and works of art! Thank you so much! I'm a little delayed, but I finally managed to finish the additional artwork today, even though I still don't like how it turned out >.<

After the anniversary event concluded, members of my Patreon decided to share Columbina's answers with everyone! So this week, you'll get to see the first batch of questions she answered.

I don't think discussing my patients would be appropriate. Though, if you're curious about me, I can tell you I dislike peaches. They make me itch.

Baby rabbits being born. They're adorable. Tiny little things, all white and covered in blood and amniotic fluid. Beautiful.

@artsy-little-mushroom: I have a question for the Doctor As someone who works as an autopsy tech when I am not doing my art, would that be a job you'd be interested in? When someone is found dead they immediately get brought to us IMMEDIATELY after they are found dead, so we work on everything from someone who died 30 min ago to someone who was just found but died months ago. We usually dissect the individual to extract almost organs including the brain

Wait, that's what it's called? Hm... I may have some experience with that. Though I'm still not entirely sure whether the organs go in the refrigerator as well… ah. Forget I said that, sweetie.

@craykaycee: Hello~ oh what fun! Happy anniversary!! Hmmm to Doctor: I'm studying the arts and have trouble depicting anatomy and muscle groups, would you be available to lend a hand to help with my studies?

Once you've opened enough bodies, finding each muscle becomes second nature. They're all exactly where they're supposed to be. I could point them out for you sometime, sweetie.

@unabashedmongerfrienddean...(the rest of the username cut-off): To the Doctor: Based on your observations, why do you think Harlequin goes through the trouble of angering Pierrot? Is it for attention? Or something else? I can't imagine he enjoys being stabbed so much.

Harlequin's judgment becomes unreliable under certain conditions, but It would be inaccurate to describe the behavior as attention-seeking.

@ilsu-yeet-death: To Doctor: do you keep a record on your crew's medical details? Is it difficult to care for everyone when I assume you don't have much overlap with human physiology, or does data on other animal classes make up for that?

Let's just say I maintain rather extensive records, sweetie. However, your assumption is incorrect. I am thoroughly familiar with both human and animal physiology. I've spent many years studying each.

Notálgico , ouvir esse idioma sweetie. Everyone knows how to handle most situations by now. I've also left detailed notes regarding certain specialized procedures, should they require guidance.

@dismal-angel909: To doctor: Im really into psychology! Its a very fascinating thing, do you think that if you learned how to use it maybe you could give more care (or fear) into your patients? It is a double edged sword if one learned the tricks to the mind!

Psychology is a vast and remarkably complex field. That said, I believe I'm generally capable of communicating the appropriate message to my patients, even without formal expertise in it.

@asewine: To Doctor: I've noticed there are many...dolls? puppets? in your tent--hanging from the ceiling, lying on the floor, everywhere. I happen to be interested in this kind of thing. Could you tell me more about them? Do you have any favorite ones?

@jesters-doll: To Jester, what if we wanted to be one of your fools to be closer to you? Would you accept us as a personal pet?

I do wonder which part of that idea appeals to you most. The loss of dignity, the loss of freedom, or... simply the attention?

While some people seem to think reading can be childish in some respect, I certainly don't see it the same. Otherwise, there is nothing I can think of I would label as such.

I'm curious to know where you've heard such... rumors. What exactly gave you that impression?~ Was it something I said… or something you enjoyed hearing?

At one time, I might have answered differently, but no— it is foolish. The past is beyond my reach, and I see little value in obsessing over things that cannot be changed.

@richuarts: For Jester: what is one of your favorite things/gift you've been given by someone in your family or whole family in general? (And no, the gift of having a nice family doesn't count, or pierrot and harlequin not fighting for one day lol).

I don't concern myself with material gifts. However, I do own a blue hair clip that's proven unexpectedly useful. An irritatingly practical object, considering how insignificant it looks.

@sillyweirdguyhehe: For the circus diva😋, Jester: What are the future plans for the circus? I mean, do you have any goals or something also u want to achieve apart from the circus? Or you are gonna stay doing the same thing the rest of your lives?

I admire your confidence. Not everyone can use the wrong word so decisively. The circus is ours now. What comes next will be far more impressive. Magnificent, even. Whether you'll find it pleasant is another matter entirely.

@pinky27freak: To our mommy dearest, Jester~ I know the nomadic life style limits what one can buy and collect, however if you could what things (besides books) would you like to collect? Example, I like to collect black amethyst carnival glass.

Sigh.... Keeping things has never interested me much. They have a habit of disappearing before long. Monsters appear. Places burn. Circumstances change. You learn not to grow attached.

@andermancer: For Jester: Which circus acts/tricks/abilities does each circus member perform best and, if you may bless me with the alternative, worst? Such as aerial, acrobatic, juggling, acts of strength, etc etc.

We offer a variety of performances. Pierrot handles aerial acrobatics. Harlequin excels at acting and fire-eating. Ticket Taker is a magician of considerable skill. Doctor is particularly effective when it comes to atmosphere and performance. That's all you need to know visitor.

Ah, yes, my dear. We used to invent games and find new ways to hunt. It took us quite some time to become good at it.

Harlequin and I? Ahn, we used to hunt at night, and we were very good at hiding. Once, we were almost caught by a… rather frightening creature! Harlequin went completely pale, and his hands would not stop trembling.

@satire-please: To Pierrot and/or Harlequin: When Pierrot wanted us to come back that night, he mentioned rides. What kind of rides are at the circus?

Would you like to see the rides? That depends greatly on where we are. We have had Ferris wheels, carousels, and even a Viking ship ride before! Most of the time, however, it is the game stalls and prize booths.

Working as a baker, making bread and cakes, sounds rather enjoyable. Perhaps I would own a bakery or a small restaurant. I do enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes, my dear.

@scneqx: for pierrot, if you could change one thing about your costume what would it be?

In truth, I am quite fond of my outfit. It is comfortable and soft. I might have chosen a different color, but… red suits me best.

I do not believe I have a comfort object, my dear. We moved so many times, and often in great haste due to… accidents. My family has become my source of comfort now. T-That said, I would be delighted to have something from you, should you wish to give me a gift!

@kouwritter: For Pierrot: Hope you have a wonderful day. Can you please tell us a memory with the other circus members (your family) that made you feel so happy and warm knowing you aren't alone?

It was a long time ago, when I was still gradually growing accustomed to the other four. Harlequin and I went hunting, but we were unable to find any food. We returned exhausted and hungry. Yet when we arrived back at our little refuge, the others were waiting for us with food to share. It was such a warm and comforting feeling.

Trying to learn more about me? How adorable~ I would say my relationship with my parents was… perfectly natural. We kept our independence and rarely interfered with one another's affairs.

Oh, the things I would do, dear one~ First, we'd put Pierrot in a cage and advertise him as a terrifying beast from some faraway land~

Neko, do I need to read the comics and follow the asks? No, that’s just extra content for those who want to understand more about the lore behind this world. All important and relevant information will be in the game. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Why is MC being human important? Let me show you the meaning behind it. You’re in the middle of the jungle, and suddenly you’re surrounded by wolves. What would surprise you more being saved by another human, your own kind, or one of the wolves turning against the pack to protect you? That’s the context I want you to understand. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Did Harlequin and Pierrot propose marriage when they bit MC? No. Right now, they’re competing for you in a game of flirtation. Those bites are not proposals. I mentioned there’s context, and that the mark would leave a scar and MC has no scar!

It’s like when a friend gives you a ring that doesn’t mean you’re married, right?

Marriage and courtship among monsters are different, and MC should definitely be aware of what’s being proposed. So relax! For now, they’re just teasing each other and lightly trying to mark you. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Black tent and pink tent I can’t answer anything about those topics! That’s something you need to explore in the game and interpret for yourselves. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

What happens when the circus leaves? And Carol? And the fools? All of that will also be explored in the game, so there’s nothing I can answer about it right now. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Why does the game only have English voice acting? I don’t know any Brazilian or Chinese voice actors, and adding voice acting is new to me. I never planned for the game to have it, but @darthsuki’s performance really convinced me it would add more emotion! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

How many endings will the game have? I’m planning multiple endings, but I can’t give a number right now. I might change my mind, so I prefer not to set expectations yet. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

What does the “poly route” mean? It means MC will fall in love with Pierrot and Harlequin at the same time. The rest is up to your interpretation. Just like Jester’s tent, I won’t say too much about certain parts of the game so you can form your own interpretations that’s all!

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Will Pierrot abandon MC?

Where did that come from? A lot of people asked me this, so I’ll be very direct: NO. There is nothing that would make Pierrot abandon MC. Never. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Are MC and Columbina the same person/reincarnation/descendants?

No. MC has no connection to Columbina. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Does Pierrot still love Columbina?

No, Pierrot has grown up and matured a lot since then, he no longer thinks of Columbina that way. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

What do the circus members/monsters find attractive in humans?

You know when you come across a group of cats on the street, and you recognize that they’re all cats, but you’re unable to distinguish their gender or other traits that define them individually? That’s how they see humans. They learn to recognize patterns to tell them apart, like “most females have long hair, but not all,” or “most males have beards and more body hair, but not all.”

Appearance isn’t exactly what attracts them, but other factors… maybe I’ll talk about that soon. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

What if I don't want anything romantic with the characters?

The protagonist's route won't involve romance, but you can still choose whether or not to form friendships with them. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Why are some answers no longer canon? I’ve mentioned before that while I was still writing the full script, I might change my mind over time.

I know they don't usually get to change clothes! But I really wanted to design some couple outfits for them... so please consider this a special case at Y/N's house! Thank you so much. You can take these clothes to wear your own characters, and I would be very honored if you drew clothes I designed and would be willing to show them to me!!!

Here are some design ideas:

1. Pierrot has a slightly greedy fantasy: he hopes that if Y/N gets tired, he can carry her for a while.

2. I referenced Jacob's sheep for Jester's horns; I'm not sure if they're actually that long, so please ignore any mistakes.

3. In my idea, Pierrot didn't understand human sizing when he first bought clothes for Y/N. Because he thought Y/N was small (my setting is 165cm), he bought her a size S. But actually, Y/N’s size is M or L. The clothes Pierrot bought was too small. Later, YN insisted on buying oversized clothes! But Pierrot like this idea because he can buy two same clothes, and Y/N never find out he’s swapped her clothes.

4. The ticket taker's suit is a tuxedo, but I drew an English tuxedo. Please ignore any mistakes in the drawing because I have not studied fashion design……thank you very much. 🌹

5. I think Doctor has done a lot of research on humans. If he has dissected many humans, then he must have undressed many people? Perhaps he is the one who truly knows what ordinary humans like to wear.
