Okay when I said “vague” I didn’t mean literally all of them. The only birds that don’t have bad tempers that I can think of are (most) pigeons, those are sweet, precious, idiots.

So while I can technically choose any bird, the one that immediately came to my mind was this fiend:

The extremely mad western capercaillie! When you look them up you can find hundreds of videos of males attacking people.

Notable is that these birds are actually rather shy, and only become this wonderfully angry at everything during the late winter which is also when there’s much fighting between rival males, often leading to injury and sometimes resulting in death. It is during this period that they attack virtually everything that moves, whether it’s cyclists, bird watchers or passing deer.

The reason for this aggression is their mating system, in which a small quantity of males mates with the vast majority of females.

While I can’t say much about how aggressive females are, because there don’t seem to be any resources on that topic (at least not any that are easy to find, I may reblog this later with additional) they do look extremely pissed in virtually any pictures of them

Also I’m going to add more in just a minute (either by editing this or by reblogging) because due to a glitch (?) I can’t continue on my desktop and I have no idea how Tumblr mobile worlks!

B: Okay females are apparently not aggressive, in fact in the beginning of the brooding season they are so sensitive to disturbances that they may just leave the nest (being a bit more tolerant as brooding season nighs end).
