Hi, I just saw your comments under the little geraskier drabble I wrote and I just want to say: Absolutely go for it!! I would love to read it if you ever decide to go ahead and write it ^^

Designed a mock-cover for this year’s NaNo project.

I’m going into this with the expectation that I will not get even remotely close to completing this, but we’re going to give this a shot. 

At the same time, I’m going to try and give this “remembering to actually use the social media page I created for my writing” thing a try too. Also expect I will fail this as much as I always have in the past... 

If any of you are participating, add me as a buddy on NaNoWriMo so we can cheer each other on as we go! 

I’ve always done my best writing on the train to and from work - I don’t know why, for some reason it’s just the place where my brain can focus somehow. (Possibly because the wifi on the train is patchy at best, so the most it can usually manage is my google docs, which kills a lot of my normal distractions.) 

You guys know how much the quarantines annihilated my writing/posting schedules (i.e. it taking months for a new chapter on anything.) Well things in my area have finally started opening up again, and I’ve finally been able to start taking the train to work again. 

And in just one week of writing on the commute, I managed to accomplish what I’ve been struggling with for nearly six months now - I completed the final chapter of “Once and For All.”

I've been fighting and trimming out so much to try and keep the story down to the same general length of the first two books, but it feels like it's coming as a detriment to the story.

However, the trains are finally running again in my area, so I've been slowly making progress again. I know it's been ages but updates are coming, I promise!

Just wanted to check in and let any of my readers who might be wondering if that next chapter will ever come. I'm not dead, I'm finally getting to set aside a little time for writing again, and I'm excited to finish and share all this stuff I started during quarantine and haven't had the focus to actually write.

So I’ve done stuff like this in a couple other fandoms, but I think I’m long overdue for one in the Newsies fandom (Since it’s now the fandom I’ve written the most works for at this point.) I have a bunch of ideas floating around for silly tropes and oneshots, so I thought I’d combine them into one big project. 

Ergo - The A-Z AU trope fest! 

What are your guys’ favorite tropes and AUs in fandom? What silly new adventures would you like to see our boys play around in? Example - A for Amnesia, B for Barista AU... 

I need your help, so PROMPT AWAY! 

I’m still going to try and get it up before Christmas (I’m going to write on the plane to kill time, so hopefully I can get it finished then and can post from the hotel room at night.)

In place of the promised Christmas fic, I’m going to instead post a new chapter of the Hunger Games AU. So, yeah, instead of Christmas schmoop and fluff, you get graphic violence and feels. 

Officially just broke over 40k words today! I’m psyched as hell about that, I’m not only caught up to where I should be at this part of the month but almost 5k ahead.

And I only just barely started Act 4 of the book, meaning I’m probably about halfway... 

Side note, writing this one is A LOT harder than writing the first two was. Not only am I far less familiar with the source material (I’ve only ever read Mockingjay once way back when it first came out, and I haven’t actually watched the movies...) but this one is so politically and emotionally heavy, without the action to break up the pacing as much. 

- Officially broke 30k words today! 

- If you think the angst of “Proud and Defiant” has been bad, you are so not prepared for “Watch What Happens.” Dear God, I didn’t realize how bad I jumped on the angst train until I went back to post the newest chapter of “Proud and Defiant,” which picks up immediately after I murdered a character last chapter, and it seemed weirdly pleasant in comparison to what I’ve been writing.

- My productivity has been murdered by the fact that Disney+ launched. The nostalgia of my childhood is real, folks. 

- On that note, I discovered that 92′s-ies is on Disney+ and I plan to watch it. I haven’t actually seen it since the 90s, so it’ll be an interesting experience to watch it again after all this time, and the fact that I’ve now seen Newsies Live a couple hundred times... 

- Even though I shouldn’t open myself up to new project, I’m currently taking prompts & requests for Holiday/Winter-themed Newsies fics. I’m going to need the chance to write something cute and fluffy after this month.
