It's Father's Day (hopefully all dads in my life had a great day) and I saw some stuff about a Spider-Man cover people were talking about. It reminded me of one time when I made a mixtape of songs for my dad. He was really tough to shop for, but sometimes, when he liked a gift, he used it a lot. He took the mixtape on trips, and recently, I saw it in his office on top of the stack of music he would listen to while working. It had the song 'Hero' by Chad Kroeger from the Spider-Man movie. So I felt like drawing Spider-Man today.

A friend and I watched Masters of the Universe, and it was fine. I liked some things, but the first 2/3rds of the film, people in the real world, and Eternia are so mean to Adam that you're kind of like, "I dunno, maybe I'm rooting for Skeletor on this one?"

I went to a bar and grill to watch basketball with my friend, and I got this idea and had to draw it before bed.

My friend Eraklis is making a full story of a short he had made, and he asked me to do a pinup! It was great because I haven't done any full illustrations in a while. Last week was pretty crazy, but I wanted to do right by this, so I took my time, and I am proud of the final piece. I need to keep up the momentum now that the holidays are done!

A quick sketch from last night. I was trying the Montezuma brush in Procreate, which for once I didn’t hate. It kind of reminds me of the Scratchboard Tool in the old Painter program, which I used for some old comics.

I haven't been able to draw for months, between caring for my dad, and then dealing with things after his passing, it was difficult to draw. Today was the first time I felt like I could draw, and it was thanks to the Trivago guy's teeth while watching Tubi, lol

I haven't used paint in years, but emotion struck hard with the David Lynch news. It felt like a good time to create some art.

Sneaking in one last sketch for 2024. I didn't get to draw as much as I would like, I tried to focus on working on my health, and taking care of family. I hope to try and fit in some more drawing, and maybe even some painting in 2025. I feel like art is going to be important next year. I hope you all have better fortune in 2025, and that we all get to make some more art! Happy New Year!

My mom still watches The Bold and the Beautiful, and it was never the best show. Today's episode was crazy rough, and Thorsten Kaye (star of Shark Attack 2) said a lot of terrible things while not even trying to act. So I made this for my mom. Ronn Moss (Hard Ticket to Hawaii) is greatly missed.
