More animation, more trial and error.

Storytime (In case it's not obvious): Alastor's been keeping to himself after the battle with Adam, and avoiding Charlie because he thinks 'feelings' led him to getting hurt and his staff broken. Charlie, not understanding his sudden coldness, just wants him back.

This one was equal parts fun and frustrating, as I felt a lead up to the song was needed, and it was a good way to test a more narrative vid rather than a music orientated vid like 'More Than Anything' is.

Is it perfect? No. Lip syncing is still annoying guesswork, and I ran short on credits towards the end, which is why the the last few moments might feel a bit rushed compared to everything else. Things are getting better though, and everything's a learning process, which is why I enjoy it :)

I hope it's okay that Alastor drops his smile for this one. I think there's a fanon theory out there that says Rosie stitched his smile onto his face, so I guess for this little AU I seem to be building, she doesn't own his soul, so no smile stitches.

Side note: I know in the original upload's closed captions, it says Angel's on the sax, but his lower arms were just not cooperating, so I put him on the piano and brought Husk in instead. Also, I found out recently that apparently Husk can play the sax in canon, so there's a happy coincidence!

As before, animation was created by creating start and end key frames for each primary movement. This largely allowed for consistency throughout the vid, and was assisted by Higgsfield's character creation system. The separate clips were put into Davinci Resolve to be edited together, then put into ElevenLabs Studio for sound effects.

As always, I deliberately went with voices that didn't sound anything like Amir Talai or Erika Henningsen for copyright reasons, although I did try and make Alastor sound Alastor-like, if only to practice using Audacity.

Also, the static gets dropped for a couple of lines, and that's intentional. Another fanon theory I like is the radio static drops from Alastor's voice when he's being honest, and that was what I was trying to convey here.

It's Bungie Day! So here's a Trek/Wars mashup, because the upload date is around about the middle between Star Wars Day and Star Trek Day! I think. Don't quote me on that.

This was an idea I had when I was thinking up something for May the Fourth as a transitional piece between my two favorite franchise days. I suppose this means I have to think up something for Star Trek Day, but that's Future!Artess' problem. :)

Ashes In Its Wake, now in Charlastor/RadioBelle flavor.

You ever had finished a project, gone through it beginning to end, then thought, 'Yeah, this is good, but what if we went in this direction?'

Alternatively, 'But what if it was Charlastor tho?'

That's what happened here. What can I say? It's my go-to Hellaverse ship. I'm also interested in how people think the two versions might compare, so there's that.

I see this as an alternative to 'The Show Must Go On (Finale)' in this little AU I seem to be building, hence the ruins of the Hotel in the background and Charlie wearing her battle outfit. It's sung from Charlie's perspective this time, and how she wants to step out from the shadow Lilith left behind. She built up the hotel, partially thinking it might bring Lilith back, but after the battle with Adam, with everyone BUT her mother stepping up, she wants to start again, building a future for herself, not for someone who may or may not come back. Being with Alastor gives her this revelation, because I feel that Alastor (this version of him anyway) while manipulative and doesn't think her dream will succeed, won't stop her from making her own choices, and encourages it, even if it leads to failure (If he'd been at the interview in the pilot, I feel he ABSOLUTELY would've encouraged her to sing when she brought it up).

But that's just me, thinking about the what ifs of fanon and the like. I hope you enjoy this alternate take. :)

For Pride Month, I thought I would take this moment to do something a bit different.

Because even though Charlastor/RadioBelle is my go to ship for Hazbin Hotel, I don't dislike Chaggie as a ship. I mean, what's the point in watching a show if you're not at least a little bit invested in the main pairings?

In fact, in my first uploaded song, I actually said 'Chaggie is for canon, Charlastor is for exploring the story paths not taken.' So, I created this song to try and send some appreciation the canon path's way.

The core of its' inspiration comes from the same draft folder as 'What I Leave Behind', and like that song, is also loosely inspired by 'My Past is Not Today' from Equestria Girls. I see this as Vaggi singing the song, with her singing about how she didn't know anything beyond being an Exorcist before meeting Charlie, and how she's changed since then.

As always, I deliberately went with a voice that didn't sound anything like Stephanie Beatriz for copyright reasons.

Alternatively, you could think of it as the end credits version of the Charlastor/RadioBelle variant. You know, like they did for old 90s Disney movies? They'd always have a song from the movie redone for end credits by Elton John or whoever.

But yeah, this is where 'What I Leave Behind: A Charlastor/RadioBelle Original' originated from. As I said there, this was part of a project I may come back to in the future, so I don't want to say too much about it, but suffice to say, the goal was to convert a fanfic into an original story, and 'My Past is Not Today' was a key part of it. So, to avoid the twin hammers of CEASE and DESIST, this was my try at creating a song of similar themes.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, and maybe like it as a comparison the the Charlastor/RadioBelle version.

What I Leave Behind, now in... wait a minute...

Yeah, I'm trying something a bit original today. I'm surprised as you are.

So, this actually started life as a song inspired by 'My Past is Not Today' from Equestria Girls, and was part of an original project I may or may not go back to some day, so I don't want to say much about it. I was looking through old projects for inspiration for new ones, felt the lyrics might fit, and here we are. I might release the original in the future, but that's future!Tess's thing to think about, not mine.

Storywise, I think this would be an alternate route to Losing Streak, where Alastor realizes Charlie's changed him, and he embraces it rather than shunning it. He's still going to forge his own path, but his past shouldn't be a sign of what he'll do in the future. Something like that, anyway XD

Today's art was a fan edit of a frame from 'The Show Must Go On', just in case the song isn't Charlastor/RadioBelle enough for you.

Admittedly at lot of this time was actually trial and error (SOOO much error...), trying different programs and art styles, trying to find something that worked for me that looked good. Animation was created by creating start and end key frames for each primary movement. This largely allowed for consistency throughout the vid, and was assisted by Higgsfield's character creation system. I think it's fairly clear this is a test bed project. Lip syncing alone was a nightmare (turns out AI doesn't like drawn out words or duets, who knew?) and while consistency is good, I'm sure I can make it better. But, as a first try, I'm happy that the story I wanted to tell is being told. Plus, I've learned a lot, and if I decide to do more of these, hopefully, the process will be smoother. Sora O Nozomu is the backing music for probably the calmest Gundam launch in the history of the series, and it's always struck a cord with me. It's hard to put into words, but listening to it always made me feel... hopeful, I guess? That maybe one day we can turn our backs on those who demand war and conflict, and look upwards towards a brighter future. I don't know, maybe I'm not explaining it right. At any rate, the Artemis II mission sparked some inspiration on this front, and Sora O Nozomu came to my mind when I saw the images and videos being beamed back to us, so I put this together in honor of that. I want to so desperately hope that this is the start of something new, something wonderful. I guess we'll just have to see. I hope you enjoy. Side note: I'm aware 'To look to the sky' might not be an accurate translation of Sora O Nozomu, but I felt it was a good title for the song.

This might be the last Charlastor/RadioBelle Variant for a while, mostly because I've just plain run out of steam at the moment. Short of releasing the original version I had of Gravity before I turned to full on cover variants, I don't really have any other ideas right now, unless Helluva Boss brings out something I think might work. This is also the first song that the copyright checker has picked up content for UMPG Publishing, the actual copyright owners for Hazbin Hotel's music, and while I'm happy to give them the revenue, I'm worried about rocking the boat too much and getting actual strikes on my still relatively new channel. So I'm thinking future Charlastor/RadioBelle Variants might be closer to how 'Easy' sounds over how 'Gravity' sounds, or at the very least, might not sound as close as other variants have been to their originals, if that makes sense. But, that's something for future-Artess to think about, and they keep refusing to send me this week's lottery numbers or a winning formula to make YouTube millions, so more work for them until they do! I'd been debating whether or not to postpone the end of this fan project, as real world events made me wonder if songs inspired by a fictional war would be seen as appropriate right now, and as a niche personal project, it's not like I was expecting people to be wondering where the last few songs were. Listening through the tracks though, I feel this fan project doesn't glorify war, and most of them denounce it as the bad thing, to put it politely, that it is. So yeah, I had ideas for future volumes that will probably go on the back burner for the moment, but I'm going to finish this volume at least. I hope you look forward to it.

Hello. I'm doing well, thank you, and I hope you are the same.

The Charlastor/RadioBelle Variants are really dependent on if I get an idea to adapt a song, and it's really all dependent on where my mood takes me. That said, I didn't even consider Loser, Baby until it was suggested, so all I can do is suggest you stay tuned and maybe inspiration will hit me for those songs some day.
