Konor the Younger, Son of Illyria
above is a bust of Konor that sits in Roboute's office
Who is Konor? He is the son of Roboute Guilliman and Gordana, lady of Illyria
Why is Konor? Roboute got a political marriage foisted on him to cement his taking of Illyria. While the marriage started out rocky, him and Gordana found a way to make it work ad even fell in love. One thing that neither of them had expected was that Gordana would get pregnant, but they were very happy about it.
When the Massive Baby was born he was named after Roboutes late father, Consul Konor. Konor junior grew up surprisingly slow, at least compared to his father. In truth he developed as the same speed as a baseline, just starting out at a larger size and continued to grow until he was 2.3 meters tall. "Prime banging your head into everything size" The only thing his mother seems to have given him is his dark brown hair and eyes and a love for strong alcohol. Which has almost nothing to do with his mother and a lot more to do with the Dysfunctionality of the Imperial Family.
He was raised on Macragge by his parents and got the best education possible. Konor has a knack for understanding people and relating to them. When the Emperor found Roboute Konor was right behind him, making for quite the surprise. Sufficed to say He was not happy that a primarch could have biological offspring. sucks to be him, Konor wasn't the only one, just the first to be revealed.
Where was Konor?
During the Great Crusade. Usually in unofficial command of around a quarter of the Ultramarine legion. Alternatively he tasked himself with reviewing legal codes of more 'barbaric' newly compliant worlds or running logistic operations for the legions that were less inclined to pay attention to such matters. If he had the time he would visit the neophytes, his littlest brothers, as he would call them.
During the Heresy. Stuck with his father in Ultramar. Poor little war criminal Lion el'Johnson had to deal with two Guillimans that didn't approve of bombing civilian populations. He bonded with Sanguineus over Imperium Secundus being a shite idea.
After the Heresy and the Breaking of the Legions into chapters he founded his own chapter that are totally using Roboute's geneseed. When the traitors that had fled started to become a serious threat again Konor tried to undo his father's decision and reunite the legions, arguing that the Codex was a book for peaceful times. That did not go over well with the other Ultramarine successor chapters. This situation made for very awkward family reunions on later dates.
Didn't notice the ecclesiarchy building up power and influence in the imperium until it was too late and the newest recruits were left wondering where the chapel on the Strength of Illyria was. He despises the Church, almost more that Roboute. Konor blames himself for not noticing how bad the worship of his Grandfather had become.
Somewhere in the 500's M37 he was fatally wounded in a battle against Orks and entombed in a dreadnought. The command of the Illyrian Shields chapter passed to his lover and second in command Stjepan Borac.
Lets end with where they are now, mentally, emotionally and physically. Konor is currently entombed in a dreadnought. He only would only wake for Stjepan who has since passed away. His mind is slowly but steadily crumbling in the manner of all Dreadnoughts. Maybe he would wake up if his father came to him, but Roboute does not know his son is still… around. Alive is the wrong word to use there.
Maybe it would be kinder to Roboute if he did not know.
