Everyone complains about the cellphone thing in tua but honestly most of the kids wouldn’t have one and they wouldn’t affect much anyways. Luther’s been on the moon so he wouldn’t have one. Diego could (we see that he doesn’t but he still could). Allison probably has one. Klaus probably lost whatever phone he had. Five wouldn’t have one bc he’s a time assassin from the future. Ben is dead. And victor probs could have one. The only big thing having a cellphone would change iirc would be patches death but the story kinda bungled that anyways. And then after that they’re in the 60s w no phones and they they’re in the alt present w no money and no time and no reason to get a phone there.

Hot take but the whole “why don’t they just call each other with cellphones” doesn’t make sense because by the time season three starts they’ve stopped two apocalypses already and also spent a couple weeks up to a couple years in the 1960s so they probably no longer have their cell phones with them if they even had one in the first place. and they’re probably not gonna go run out and buy cell phones first thing when they arrive in a completely different universe where they’re being hunted by the sparrows and the world is ending again
