I'm an (Aro)Ace Photographer

I accidentally unpinned my previous introductory post. So that means it's time for a new one.

This is my photo blog. I used to reblog from this, my main, but I recently created a secret sideblog for reblogs. Also where I'll post any hobbies like D&D, tabletop games, and video game development.

There is also a writing and art blog. I also have a site for project updates, if that ever strikes your fancy.

Welcome to the Angel Island Series!

This one focuses on this cool island with a wild history in the San Francisco Bay Area. While it's not focused on the history, you can click the link to Wikipedia and read on from there.

This was my first time here, and I went with the intention of searching for a spot to draw, paint, and find some good photos. This was around August of last year (2025) and I believe I had just gotten my light meter. So there's a lot of fun experimentation here (i.e. learning what I'm doing with the light meter).

I like finding symmetry in things.

This is the end of the series. Hope you enjoyed this! A couple of things came back up while posting this. It was so much fun looking around my hard drives for more photos to put up. It helps to have smaller bursts of photos when I queue them up.

As I type this, I'm figuring out what to do between semesters and grad school applications. I had this idea of continuing my transitions series, but I'm not sure if I wanna put myself in front of the camera again like that. I have comics to draw and novelettes to work on.

But I have a camera that I'm renting from my old job (Lens Rentals, see first post in the series)! It's not going to replace my Pentax, but it's a camera I'm considering having with me wherever I go if it works out. I'll share more after the rental is over with.
