Grinning, Arlene shook her head at him. “Unless you’ve got an Oscar that says ‘Javi Sterling’ on it, I’m inclined to believe you’re just tryin’ to save face,” she retorted, narrowing her eyes in faux suspicion. “It’ll be hard to duet when I’m outsinging you, but,” Arlene said with an animatedly cocky shrug, taking a step toward the karaoke machine, “I’m game if you are.”
