The idea was to make Fio use a fire move, but when I looked at his ref page I concluded he doesn’t know any fire type moves so my next idea was making him use Lucky chant and it resulted in this piece!

Fio: Hey, don't think too hard about it, Chessie. I mean, I'm at level 31 myself, and I'm still a fennekin. For... reasons. Couldn't you just will yourself to not evolve if it starts happening? That works for me.

Chessie: There’s no other way unless some sort of magic prevented me from evolving.

Fio: That can’t be right, can it…? Whenever I gain a level and start to feel the effects of evolution, I just have to concentrate really hard on not evolving, and then I don’t. It was almost impossible in the early levels, but my old trainer didn’t want me to evolve and helped me get used to it. Have you ever… had a trainer?

Fio: It's been quite a while. The search parties would have been stronger, would have been going on for longer, but... our home valley, Vilarius, seems to be dying along with everyone's resolve to find our missing valley member.

And it was... kinda predictable, but Incarrius vanished not long after Arkkam did, and he's probably still searching for her.
