I saw TADC finale earlier today, and while I was interested in seeing where Jax’s story would go, I did not expect the end of Jax’s story to leave my heart feeling so heavy. More of my thoughts under the cut, as they contain some major spoilers.

My mind landed on a quote from Expedition 33 that, when slightly altered to fit Jax, really hits home even harder:

“Leroy. It’s a strange feeling, watching you…laughing and smiling. Without the scars or the memories that afflict me. Yes, Leroy Mateo—as she was meant to be. And not this scanned version that I am.”

(Yes, I am using she. The hints at a trans narrative were insanely unsubtle).

Okay, adding onto this, now that a day since I’ve seen the finale has passed.
