This mysterious species of gray fox is estimated to be only around 60 to 80 percent the size of its larger mainland brethren. Brown dorcopsis (Dorcopsis muelleri) and white-striped dorcopsis (Dorcopsis hageni). Dorcopsis are cat-sized marsupials native to Western New Guinea, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia, closely related to kangaroos and wallabies. Their tails are partially hairless and they look remarkably greyhound-like when seen from the side.
The recently ended calving season, which runs between mid-November and mid-April, saw 23 new calves born.
There’s some good news for the endangered North Atlantic right whale. The recently ended calving season, which runs between mid-November and mid-April, saw 23 new calves born.
