This doesn't sit well with me.

Feels like a big "let's give women what they want, let them make the CHOICE. But we make sure they are on their own and then they're gonna try to be rational and democratic and of course in the last minute they're gonna be emotional and instinct will kick in and it will be a good choice cause you must always choose life. Look, now you have a new moon. And then of course they will get angry cause they were left alone and they don't want that, they want a wise man to tell them stuff."

So in the end, they didn't choose anything, they agreed on something, asked everyone else and then Clara did what she wanted anyway. Cause women don't make choices, they act on impulses and emotions.

How about you have the same story but instead of having the Doctor wander off as not to interfere (hello, you took them there in the first place?!) you have Clara convince him with rational thinking that what she believes is the right choice for humanity is in fact the right choice? He was clearly already on that boat so why have her go against everyone else on a whimp? Women can make rational choices you know? We can THINK by ourselves.

Also, if you're gonna go for this pro-life thing (and you're already worrying me with all that heaven thing you have going on this season) maybe you should reconsider how pro-choice women might see this: Lets imagine, instead of a random space egg, the Doctor gets Clara pregnant. And his saying in all this is "oops. Sorry yes, but you knew there were risks when you joined me on this adventure but i'm an alien so it's your thing. Your responsibility, your choice. Whatever you choose is fine with me cause I don't really care much. Go, make a choice and I'll come back when you're done to tell you if it was the right one or not."
