i hate how my parents' friends try to make me feel bad for not wanting to be friends with their kids!!!!

i don't know why my parents can't behave whenever i take them somewhere. there's always something!!!!

why do people never listen to my advice and then cry to me after they didn't listen to said advice

these days i'm genuinely shocked by how i've reached this point in my life considering how non-functional my parents are

i grew up with a huge community of family friends but as i've gotten older i'm not really close with any of them. one of those reasons is because of the level of entitlement from bay area indians whose parents have made serious tech money and spoiled their children to oblivion. they'll treat you like shit because your family was weird/toxic/poorer and then be shocked when you don't allow that behavior in your life anymore. you are a family friend not my family. i will absolutely cut you off.

has anyone else’s father decided to become a raging alcoholic in their 60s so you have to deal with a nasty drunken text in the middle of a work day because they want to bring you down with them :-)
