I think strange horrible things should stop befalling my friends
I think strange wonderful things should start befalling my friends
So, lemme see if I understand this.
Slurs:
"Birthday Boy."
"tMRA."
"Transandrobro."
"Transandrodork."
Calling 'transandrophobia/transmisandry' truthers "TERFs."
Not Slurs:
"Baeddel."
"TRF/TIRF."
Referring to transfeminine people as "AMABs."
Calling transfeminists "TERFs."
Misogyny:
Criticizing a transmasc person for treating transfeminine people badly and other transmisogynistic behaviors.
Not Misogyny:
Doing 'ironic' misogyny towords transfeminine people.
I think I'm seeing a pattern...
the biggest problem with art is that every medium and process in the world seems really cool so how are you supposed to do any one of them long enough to get good at it
TME queers will exclude us from their spaces and then get mad when we exclude them from the "in-group" in our analysis of our own oppression. we're all in the same boat apparently, except that you kicked us out of it, except that you really want to insist we're all still in it
*calling out for someone to throw down a life preserver, drawing attention to the fact I'm not in the boat*
"YOU'RE CREATING A BINARY BETWEEN PEOPLE IN THE BOAT AND PEOPLE OUT OF THE BOAT"
oh so you think you're special just because you're in the water? I fell in the water once and it was really scary! thankfully the others threw down a life preserver, but it was still really scary! I'm basically in the water too! how could I throw you a life preserver if I'm literally in the water right now?
you think being in the water is hard? on the boat you literally have to fear falling into the water. I'm scared for my life right now
I don't know I don't think we should let her back up. the vibes were off
ok look we had to push you off the boat because you're like, probably strong enough to push someone off the boat or something. that's dangerous! what if someone got pushed in the water?
and even if nobody got pushed, we'd be really scared we MIGHT get pushed, and I don't like feeling scared!
the thing you have to accept is that the strong/weak binary is real, and if you're biologically weak then you're at risk of violence from people who are biologically strong. so you have to violently suppress the strong. but only if they're women

Iâm lying face down on the floor. Reblog to join.
A Transmasc queer academic saying that trans lesbians aren't real women and are all actually just fetishistic white transvestite men is some shit. And then referring to straight trans women as "street queens" as to make sure to misgender the rest of us for good measure.
Transmisogyny has so thoroughly spread through the queer community, that these fucks are willing to openly spout it as doctrine.
The fucking title of this shit
âListen kid, red players and blue players have been mortal enemies since the beginning of timeâ
*camera cuts to a red player and a blue player leashed to each other, making out, touching boobs, etc*
*stepping out of FNM covered in hickeys*
âI think Izzet might be too good in Standard right now.â
Tbh I think the "but data centers are important infrastructure, not just AI" talking point misses that like
Ok so roads are important infrastructure. A lot of stuff that's important happens on roads. Now, let's imagine that quadrillionaire Matt Stench has decided that the next big tech innovation is the Wide Car. It's a car that takes up six lanes despite seating only one passenger.
The Wide Car is supposed to be the future, and everyone's going to be driving Wide Cars, even though nobody who makes Wide Cars is turning a profit. Employers are offering Wide Cars as an employee benefit, and getting "nah." Some employers are going as far as demanding their employees drive Wide Cars, and the result is that people take time out of their workdays to get in the mandatory gas usage for their Wide Car before driving home in a regular car.
In spite of the fact that the Wide Car is clearly set to fail, there's an enormous push to expand to twelve-lane roads to accommodate a bunch of Wide Cars that simply will not materialize. This is not an organic response to demand, but a speculative investment that amplifies the existing issues with road development for no good reason.
That is the problem.

Hell yeah CLRG!
similarly I encountered the transandro truther pipeline when I was very lonely, insecure, and had reached a level of burnout where I was very apathetic about anything beyond my immediate personal bullshit - and through friends and friends of friends who were, like me, embroiled in petty discourse and totally self obsessed, I was dragged into the sphere of transandrobros (though for what it's worth - I absolutely never conceded to the term "transandrophobia" itself, that was actually a major red flag that helped pull me out before I got in too deep)
but the thing is, I noticed myself thinking (trans)misogynistic bullshit that I knew I didn't believe (thank you to all the adult feminists I grew up around for instilling feminism in my core beliefs so deeply) that I didn't agree with - and it was pretty directly connected to the things these guys I was hanging out with were saying and sharing online
the very simple solution was to basically immediately bring more women's voices into my daily life - I actually started with music and poetry, listened to a lot of Against Me! and read Audre Lorde, reconnected to the rage and the grief and the joy, intentionally followed transfeminists because I needed to see both sides of the argument and when you look at what's actually happening, it becomes very obvious who's in the right (hint: it's transfeminists)
notably, when I started asking questions or saying anything at all to contradict the transandro truther narrative or the harassment campaigns against transfems, I was flooded with anon hate - called a TERF, called a fake feminist, called all kinds of slurs - I even had my like 7 year old blog with 10X as many followers as I have now deleted (RIP troutreznor) because these crybaby assholes false reported my blog into the ground - this is NOT fucking NORMAL behavior
but in the end nobody is immune to doing/thinking/saying some dumb shit, to being reactionary and thinking emotionally - but everybody is capable of thinking for themself and learning from their mistakes
tl;dr TRANSFEMINISM IS THE ANSWER
oxidized copper is such a beautiful color palette. The rich reds with the cool teals. Such a vibrant combo. No one is doing it like her.

hello gorgeous do you come here often
Something that really bothers me in the discourse around trans men being privledged over trans women is that I've seen so many trans men argue that the privledge we hold isnt really privledge because its conditional, and that "privledge cannot be conditional." Which is just wrong. Privledge is very much conditional. I feel like so mamy people's idea of what intersectionality is, is just standing up for other marginalized groups / showing your solidarity. When thats not it. Intersectionality is also awknowledging that people experiance different levels of oppression based off who they are, a trans woman saying shes experiances more oppression than trans men isnt saying trans man experiance NO oppression, its just that trans women experiance the same oppression they do Along with transmisogyny. And dont go saying things like, "well trans men only get that privledge if their pass 100% and are stealth!!" I see a lot of transguys say that and its just untrue. Im an androgynous transman in a red state, and I still benifit from being seen as a man in my everyday life, even if its not 100% of the time. My life has signifigantly improved from being seen as a man, even if its only 60-70% of the time. No trans woman is saying we never experianced misogyny, or that we dont experiance oppression at all. Trans feminists just try to say that we do benifit from the patriarchy even if not as much as cismen
This is transfeminism!

wish we could talk about feminism or especially transfeminism without feeling crazy. because its not crazy. but whenever we talk about it we feel like we're putting on our tinfoil hats and ranting on the streets.
we can't even say "i hate men" without having to explain TO OTHER WOMEN that no, we don't hate every individual man on the planet, we hate the class man and the system men made for themselves that dominates the place we live in. in the same way that we have to tell other women that misandry is not a systemic force, and hating what men as a class of people and the patriarchy they made does not a misandrist make
and then WE feel bad because we made others uncomfortable by talking about injustice!
Its absolutely insane how much backsliding the public consciousness has intentionally done over the last couple years alone in regards to feminism. Like, all of these things were basic feminist concepts that most people anywhere left of center understood and accepted as late as 2024. Y'all remember the "would you rather encounter a strange man in the woods or a bear" question? That whole thing happened just two fucking years ago!

People often react to the phrase "carbon footprint" with something about how it's coined by the fossil fuel industry to direct blame from producers to consumers, but I think there's still something extremely valuable about looking at emissions per capita -
graph one: total CO2 emissions, NOT per capita, by region. By 2020, China, the US, the EU, India, and Russia are the largest players, with the entire rest of the world barely surpassing China's emissions.
Graph two: The same regions but weighted per capita.
The US is unique in being extremely emissions-intense per capita while also being large and wealthy. This graph doesn't count emissions generated in China to produce goods shipped to America - it counts those under China's emissions.
