when you let go of people you are painfully seeking approval or love from, you return to yourself. you return to what feels truer to you and to what brings you happiness. you are reminded that life does not always have to feel bad, that you do not always have to feel like you aren’t enough, that what you want for yourself and your future goes beyond a single person’s regard of you. you notice the energy start to shift and flow more fluidly. pay attention to all of this.

There comes a point in life where you just want better for yourself. A better life, better people, better energies, better routine, better faith, better health, better mental progression. 

I am worth the effort.

I will tell my daughter, don’t ever beg for someone’s time. Don’t ever beg for someone’s attention. And don’t ever beg for someone’s love.

You need someone who wants to be there when it’s messy and when it’s hard, not just when it’s fun and when it’s convenient. And you need someone who chooses you when it might not be the easiest choice. And you need someone who would rather do nothing with you than anything in the world with someone else.

you deserve someone who’s gonna treat you like you matter everyday. Not just when it’s convenient for them.
