yes yes yes! we plan on having smaller events every other week, alternating between events and tasks so that the plot can move along forward. this week is a task week, so our next event will likely be this weekend or the beginning of next week!

the first task

with nothing but time, it seems that home can become a safe house, and supposedly one of the only places true privacy lies. for this task, we’re asking to show off your character’s apartment. as a one bedroom/one bathroom standard unit, each person has to make their own space, so whether you want to visually show it off, or write a drabble on the state of your character’s living quarters, we’d love to get a better idea of where each of these characters live.

we’re actually avoiding wanted connections as far as previously knowing each other goes, because everybody is from all over the place, and we’re really encouraging that connections be formed more naturally over time in the town. there are exceptions to the rule however, and family connections have been brought up in the past, and it’s not entirely impossible for somebody to know somebody else outside of before the events of our roleplay occur, and that would definitely be something that could be discussed with players in our group upon acceptance!

i’ve answered this before right here with a whole list of wanted abilities, but to highlight a few that i think would be incredible to see around here are super strength, super speed, flight/levitation, and mind reading! of course there are so many different powers available and we’d love to see what you want to bring in!

The sandstorm that plagued the town of ninguna parte had to get worse before it got any better. With a bit of hysteria running through the training event, officials managed to collect everybody, but within the smaller space, true colors began to show. The building shook around them, and despite being in the central area, it could be felt by the residents. Not just that though, it seemed there was even more disturbances among the crowd. As lights began to flicker within the building, it seemed that india’s technopathy was disrupting the constant technological communication that the officials were in contact with, thus throwing everybody for a loop. perhaps it was the utter turmoil that caused jasper to create even more forces outside that he couldn’t control, the sandstorm reigning devastation among the town. the lights seem to go out, but as people adjust to the emergency lights, it’s not long after until the room is engulfed by a pitch black darkness overcome with shadows from asher. this causes even more panic, and chaos certainly ensues. with no eyes or ears on the ground, from an undisclosed station, a call is made, and a trigger is pulled. those who are showing signs of trouble feel a jolt of energy run through their body, even as emotions run rampant probably due to caden’s influence. the voltage brings people down, if not to the ground, then to their knees. those who have been taken care of have passed out, only to wake up in their apartments the next day. for the rest, they are cornered, and escorted individually to their rooms after a convenient and abrupt end to the sandstorm. lasting damages include apartment windows shattered and spaces in an almost purposeful disarray, store fronts mangled, and a town that looks tragically desolate. an announcement rings out bright and early the next morning, encouraging residents to take precautions in case another tragedy strikes upon them. there is urgency to remain calm and remain under vigilant care, and if anybody sees any trouble, to report it to the official on duty just outside the apartment entrance. a station has been set up on the first floor for anybody seeking medical attention, and food has been supplied to the first floor communal area.

PLOT DROP: (meaning once this has posted, characters have become aware of the following in current and new event based threads)

the mandatory training event was going swimmingly, at least as far as the operatives collecting information could report on. there were a few stray moments here and there, but that’s to be expected at any sort of event with people learning such control over a wide variety of powers. over the course of the training time, hopefully there was a chance to get to know your fellow residents a bit better and what makes them tick. perhaps a stroke of misfortune has hit the town though, as wind picks up outside. while training was supposed to last for so long, now it seems nobody is allowed outside until the sand storms have ceased. officials are gathering everyone into the center gym of the community center, as a panic ensues, with voices ordering residents to be in lockdown altogether. maybe you notice officials are still documenting every little thing that happens though, and seem unbothered by the torrential storm the building seemed perfectly prepared for. don’t get caught outside of the lockdown, and let’s hope you don’t let any tempers or tension upset you or anybody else around you.
