There are two categories of pilots and, in turn, mecha.

Combat: Mobile soldiers only.

Mobilize against larger kraang (i.e.: Angels), hordes, and machinery.

Combat pilots have been trained to operate mecha as weapons. Compared to Exploration pilots their knowledge is incredibly limited.

Take orders from Cassandra and Leonardo.

Exploration: pretty much anyone who isn't a child.

Traverse difficult and dangerous terrain for scouting and construction missions.

Occasionally traveled to distant rebellions and, rarely, overseas continents.

Act as rescuers/recovery, searching for MIA individuals and equipment lost during battle.

Pilots, their care team, mechanics, cooks, and custodians live away from Hamato HQ at specialized bases simply called Garages. Because mecha emit large amounts of radiation, pilots and those in frequent contact with them must be isolated from the greater population.

Contact between HQ and Garages were limited to necessary interactions only: the delivery of toiletries, food, medicine, and materials. Should a Garage crewman return to HQ, they're placed in quarantine for six -- eight weeks to limit the possibility of an epidemic.

Following Titan, twelve more mech were made. Each one fell into one or more sub-categories: Militant; Ocean Strider; High-flyer; or Sentient.

Of the thirteen mecha, six were lost during in the event that killed Donnie.

Bracer:

Pilots were given specialty bracers with their own comm system.

Unlike most of the resistance, these devices were made to do the absolute bare minimum. With only a radio, limited camera, and monotone display, a pilot's bracer was somehow even more durable than its 'cousins'.

Later editions of specialty bracers included holographic projectors.

There is no on/off function. They are powered by hibisium.

Bracers also act as trackers and health monitors.

In order to contact specific people, a pilot will turn to radio switch to 'on', and proceed to select a pathway (seen on the right →).

From top–down, the blue button is for Administration. There are two admins that pilots report to, the first being coordinators who resided at HQ or Garages. As you'd imagine, these individuals are responsible for leading mech-suit in-quests and ensuring objectives are met.

In the early years of Project #MetalArmy, coordinators directed from afar. As the rebellions number of mecha grew, coordinators were able to lead while being alongside their teams.

Next is the green button. This directs Pilots to each other, acting as both a communication channel and a tracker. Upon selecting this button, a series of routes appear on the mecha's GPS system (buncha math stuff, cuz no satellites) that lead to other pilots.

Lastly, the red button. This is an SOS signal that, once received by Garages, are automatically redirected to HQ, where either Donatello, Cassandra, or Leonardo would respond.

Each button has braille: 1 for Administration, 2 for Pilots, 3 for Distress.

I had trouble with Titan's head, but I got it eventually.

You wouldn't believe all the stuff I had to do before actually drawing Donnie and Titan together. Three of these pictures were done ~two weeks ago, and this morning I decided to redo the bracer, as I initially colored to sketch and left it at that.

This wasn't particularly hard to do, but I'm glad I waited so long. Every drawing I do helps me later on, and if you noticed, you'll see that the window is pretty similar to the portal from Hope. Speaking of, the markings on the window is a Window-way Spell from Witch Hat Atelier. I mentioned before that the resistances utilize spells to make things easier, and that window-way spells allow natural lighting and ventilation without leading enemies directly to their bases. They also serve as versatile get-aways that lead to different locations across the Americas.

By the way, Titan's design is heavily based on the Giant Mech from The Purple Game.
