why does everyone seem to think the show is much more deeper then it is, or is going to be
like yeah the impact of how dale is shown to neglect dev is treated more seriously then any other show, but even then dale has reasons that arent written seriously - such as liking his boots and money so much
the idea of the show is have a problem a kid would have, shenanigans ensue, maybe learn a lesson or two, kids show writing is a spectrum and id say that its less like a "my little pony" and more of a "dora the explorer" type on the spectrum with how theyre going about it if it makes sense, if it is going to take a more tonal shift id expect it to be more like the original where its more cynical and has mean spirited humor, which i personally doubt we'll see alot in the show, its a more episodic show with vauge lore and timeline attatched to it, loose enough where it can work but its not anything too complicated for excample
its like the finale predictions, ive seen so much angst packed and so much story in those predictions, when it dropped i feel like the backlash was 50% because of the fact it wasnt 99% as angsty as anticipated, the only tears we got were from hazel meanwhile i saw people thinking tht everyone else was going to cry (the finale is another can of worms i wont go into)
i get the idea of making kids show angst is fun but i think people often forget that we arent the target demographic and warping this idea of what they expect, which imo i think when we talk about the actual canon media we should lower the expectations in our head, we need to not forget that this is written for a younger demographic and that its ok to like shows not made for you but you should respect it
unless ive shot myself in the foot, in the next 5 years if we get another season i dont have any reason to believe suddenly theyre taking a much more serious approach to it

Miku's role is obvious, Rin and Len we're initially Kai and Nya, but to me personality wise in my head canon, they're more of Jay and Cole to me lol. I always headcanoned Meiko as more of a the cool older sister or aunt rather than the mom friend (to me Luka felt like that), so making her Kai was easy. Kaito as Zane feels like a match made in heaven, so the pick was again obvious. Luka is Pixal for 2 reasons, I'm a Kaito and Luka shipper, and to me she's the mom friend.
The elemental masters are also a bunch of other Vocaloids (Ex: Gakupo is Shade, Fukase is Griffin, Flower is Tox, Piko is Neuro, etc)
A New Wish: SKYBOUND (ANW x Ninjago crossover thingy idk I'm bored)
So basically, the whole things starts off as sort of an AU to Battle of Big Wand where Dev doesn't get Irep back and instead, he finds Nadakhan's lamp in The Museum. Dev, being Dev, releases him out of curiosity and then chaos ensues. Dev and Nadakhan form an alliance and they take over Fairy World. Everything remains the same for the most part, but Nadakhan betrays Dev (who could've seen that coming), and escapes before Jorgen could send him back to his lamp. Oh, and he also kindaps Antony, Winn, and Jas (Spoiler: They get saved, wow how unpredictable).
The whole thing is at least 18 episodes max, and it's mostly just the original Skybound, but with FOP characters. I'm thinking of some ways to tweak it and make it different, but this is all I got for now
