Knuckles and Shadow: A Chaos Scattered Hunt (2D/3D Animated Spin-off)
Several months after the events of Sonic Movie 3 (and potentially before Sonic Movie 4), Knuckles is still feeling as his mentor guide to Wade as guardian or the master emerald is dwindling (considering what Sonic did….). He sets out to find the emeralds himself. Even though Sonic and family are on vacation to Hawaii, Knuckles ensured that family that he would guard the home himself (of course this was a bit of a lie). Wade, also deciding to take a break from his cop routine, also takes along (having feeling slightly responsible for its disappearance) wanting to improve himself too.
Meanwhile, Shadow–having survived the Space Ark and crashed to Earth–is wandering around in secret, hoping to avoid contact with other people. He still doesn’t know what he should do (it doesn’t appear that he suffered from amnesia), he considers traveling around to see what the Earth truly has to offer (just like when Sonic arrived on Earth before). We could see him learn about different cultures and potentially learn to speak Latin/Spanish (from the TV show we watched). But encounters Knuckles and Wade whilst in a fight with some trouble. Knuckles feels a bit hesitant around Shadow, but Wade seems to respect Shadow as a fighter. So the three along with three teenage human characters they rescue accompany them on world travel missions: Retrieve the chaos emeralds.
Our three human characters could be a fun trio like Ben, Gew, and Kevin or Peter Parker, MJ, Ned. With WAde teaching what he knows to them, and what they know to him.
I was thinking (though someone else might have come up with this idea): Rouge as our diva antagonist (like Camera San Diego, Tanya Keys), she also has a thing for jewelry and treasure seeking. Here she would have a troublesome role in our gang. Trying to retrieve the emeralds as hers and antagonizing the groups, but Knuckles andShadow get to know her a bit more (since they don’t seem to have strong connections with having feelings for women, well Knuckles more than Shadow, but romantically?) Hopefully she teams up the crew, and becomes a potential ally, and strangely and good mentor to Shadow (like in the games/comics).
It would be fun to see the comedy between the characters, like I said before, Knuckles and Shadow developing their rivalry bro-ship.
Also they could use Shadow’s black arms origins to create new iterations, maybe he also has a ‘sixth sense’ to find the chaos emeralds.
The main antagonist through the series could be someone along the lines of a version of Clutch the Opossum (IDW) and Rough and Tumble (IDW), I mean it would be an awesome way of connecting Earth and Mobius and other worlds in future Sonic movie materials.
