How do you know it was changed though? How do you know the People's CDC account is using CDC information and isn't just making shit up?

You can find the same information on the CDC website. They refer to it as the 'internal' covid map. They still use the pre-February numbers to make decisions, they just show the public a map that isn't all red. These versions of Omicron are even more transmissible than other strains, making Sars-Cov2 the most contiguous virus known to man, putting it a step above measles. A single covid infection can age your brain a decade or more even if it's a mild or asymptomatic infection. Mask up and keep everyone safe.
