Business Plan for Savior Skateboards
Our mission is to spread Love, Positivity, and that it’s Progression Not Perfection. We strive to be the positive influence when we’re out skating. From finding new skaters and helping them out as much as we can to finding that guy shredding it up and just needing a little motivation to land the trick. Which brings us to “Progression not Perfection”. We get everyone wants to do the big tricks but doesn’t want to put the time in right away. With whatever you do in life you have to practice at it to get better at it. So when your heated just remember it’s Progression you’re looking for not perfection. It’s all about getting away from life’s problems and just enjoying skateboarding.
Savior Skateboards will be a traveling company that goes through Owner and Founder Austin Morrissey for sales and new product being made. The customer will go through Austin to make an order, Austin will order everything through manufactures that will be delivered in 2 weeks. Austin will deliver in person or mail the order for next day delivery. Team skaters will have the power to use the social media app Snapchat account to spread information about what’s coming up or just sending a positive message out to our supporters. Team Skaters will also get Free apparel and half priced skateboards.
Products such as skateboards, wheels, and griptape will be ordered from customskateboards.com or SkatePaige.com. The shirts will be bought from a local Walmart or Hobby Lobby and then brought to the garage to be printed by hand with a vinyl screen. The stickers that will be sold will be from vistaprint.com.
Market Analysis
We will be getting in contact with local skate shops to get product in stores and are predicting that most sales will range from ages 10-30 years old. As much as it’s a fact that the local skate companies will be “competition”. We don’t see them as such. We root for all skate companies and just enjoy seeing the skateboard community grow. If our name gets out there well enough to be known then we want to start planning events to where we can give all profit to a charity so we can help someone in need.
Strategies and Implementation Plan
Our competitive edge is that we’re not in it for the money we’re in it to help out charities. We will be marketing on social media and from word by mouth. Pricing will go like this, the skateboards will be sold at $50.00 a deck due to the product being $37.00 to order after tax from the manufacture, wheels will be $35.00 due to them being $30.00 from the manufacture used, Griptape is $20, stickers $2.00 for a pack of 3, and t-shirts will be sold at $15.00 each. We’re hoping to make at least $100 for our first event and then raising it up depending how far we get from the first event planned. The whole goal is to raise as much money as possible from each event to spread the love and positivity.
Management and Financial Plan
The only management is through Austin Morrissey. That will include sales, products, events, and marketing. With only getting a couple dollars of profit from each sale that money will go to help grow the company and throwing events will be our time to help a charity out. This company isn’t built to be a huge success but until cash flow rises we can’t grow like we want to so it’s super grateful when we do get a sale. Hopefully down the line we will be able to afford faster delivery time and better products. All we ask is for a chance so we can change lives through a sport we love.

Steps to Making Your Own Photography Business
1. get a good camera preferably a SLR.
2. You need equipment to view, edit, store and print your pictures after you take them. This could be achieved with Adobe Lightroom or Apple Aperture. Note that you should save the pictures in two places, for example your computer hard drive and a flashdrive.
3.You might want to join a two year tech program or liberal art college. This will help you expand your knowledge on photography.
4.Next you'll need to know if you are going to have your own studio or free lance. Will you market yourself to the public, or focus on selling to publications or stock companies? Will you specialize in people, landscape or objects?
5. Next you should create a Business Plan. This is a document that describes your business and your market, and explains how you plan to situate your business within that market
6.After your business is up and running there is no time for relaxing! building and maintaining relationships with clients and corporate purchasers is key to being a successful photographer. A helpful thing to do is update your own website or social media like facebook.
Research information credit goes to the awesome people of How Things Work. Thanks guys! You've helped me and everyone else!
JPEG Vs. RAW
JPEG files are known as 8 bit files, so that means it has 2 to the power of 8. That equals 256. Now RAW files are 2 to the power of 12 which equals to 4,096. That means when you shoot RAW your going to have more brightness levels.
More benefits of RAW would be Exposure Insurance, Perfect white balance, always having the best quality file, fast image editing, and finally you can not break them they are non-destructible, this means you can change them a million times and still be able to go back to the original photo.
Learning all this changes my world in a way. I for now on am going to definitely shoot RAW all the time! What about you?!
